Well, Jack was dying, and he sought forgiveness for his "sins". A lot of people change their ways when they know they are dying.
When did Jack ever change his ways? And when has he ever confessed than he had murdered Nina Myers in cold blood . . . and lied about it?
It was good to see Renee take an extreme chance at the end (this is a fantasy world after all), and it sets up the next season very well.
Fantasy or not, I did not take great pleasure from it. I hope that Janice rats on her

Me, too; my dad was cheering for her to kill the guy, but I saw the idiocy in it, and so was left crowing over my dad when nothing was shown in the end.Fantasy or not, I did not take great pleasure from it. It just seemed out of place to me...

Only two acting nominations although there are also a few technical nods for this year's Emmys:
Kiefer Sutherland as Jack Bauer in 24: REDEMPTION
Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or Movie
Cherry Jones as President Allison Taylor in 24
Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series
Shame Annie Wersching didn't get a nomination.
I thought Jon Voight would be a shoo-in for supporting actor, but I guess the two "movie stars hamming it up on tv" slots were taken by Williams Shatner and Hurt.
