Morning, Nov 23-see Quantum of Solace in theaters.
Evening Nov 23-see the 24 prequel.
That will be so AWESOME!
(Warning-some people may not be able to contain that level of awesome, I am not the one responsible if your head explodes)

I'm in Awesomeness training right now. I've been out of shape with my awesomeness for a while now, but I've got four months to prepare; I intend to undergo a brutal regimen of watching the QoS trailer fifty-three times a day in order to boost my Awe capacity.
I'm also pretty sure that the final ever episode of The Shield will be airing right around the same mid/late Nov. period. No man has ever withstood the combined awesomeness of Bond/Bauer/Mackey and lived to tell the tale, but I intend to be the first!

Just saw a commercial for The Shield the other day. It premiers Tuesday, September 2nd at 10 pm. The final season should send this one out with a bang!I'm also pretty sure that the final ever episode of The Shield will be airing right around the same mid/late Nov. period. Yeah they're playing promos for it on FX all the time. If you go here :
http://www.fxnetwork...als/the_shield/
they're doing cast 1-on-1 interviews, some of it is pretty funny. Anyway, assuming the Shield has 13 episodes, and they run them all consecutively, the finale should be on Tuesday 25th Nov, just two days after we've cleaned up the mess from Bauer's return.

Yo, Dino! I've finally got DVR and would like to check out The Shield? Not having seen it before, would I be able to catch up sufficiently?
Hmm, its difficult to say. A lot of times the show refers back to previous events and ever-changing relationships between characters, etc. Its like one long continuous saga, different from 24 where you can jump in at the start of a season and pretty much pick it up. So I don't know how accessible the new season will be to the newcomer, I certainly recommend the show in general though. Might be worth renting season 1 to see if its the kind of thing you're into!

New crazy guest star rumor. Julia Roberts is rumored to be a guest star on the new season of 24, WTF?
Good God, the wait's getting tougher and tougher. I'm not sure I can make it.

For the record, the prequel is apparently titled 24: EXILE.

Erm...I'm pretty sure Kiefer wouldn't be too thrilled with that one.

Bauer is BACK! OMG this looks amazing (except for the worst trailer voiceover of all time).
Why don't they release this on the big screen?
Also good to see Powers Boothe is back, his character was great.

Having said that, I agree with dino. It sounds like they've let the work experience kid do the voiceover for the trailer...

Mmm that feels good to see that! Looks like a proper movie. I am possibly more excited for 24: EXILE than for Season 7!
After this trailer, I might be more excited for Exile than I am for Quantum of Solace

QOS's second trailer better bring the goods!

There seems to be six slightly different versions of the trailer by the way. No idea why, but there are new pieces of footage in some:

I haven't followed news or casting of Season 7 that closely, but I really hope they've replaced Wayne Palmer as president by death or end-of-term. He was absolutely terrible.
He was terrible because the show tried to turn him into David Palmer 2.0, instead of allowing him to continue to be the more complex and ruthless Wayne Palmer that he was in Season 3.

Erm...I'm pretty sure Kiefer wouldn't be too thrilled with that one.
If she's in, my guess is she is going to get killed, but not so fast. He'll shoot her below the kneecap and in her shoulder and let her bleed out. Or be a cripple. Her character will be.
Edit:
Just saw the trailer; Hell Yeah! (Don't worry, for the official release they'll get the movie trailer guy to do the narration)

I'm encouraged by the fact that the writers have mapped out the whole of Season 7 already. Hopefully this means that we'll have no awkward plot transitions (like the reappearance of Cheng as soon as Fayed was killed last season). I've also read that there will be efforts made to clear up loose ends from the past, including the fates of the Logans.
I hope you're right and feel fairly certain you are. This is a team with its sites set on better and better performance. Last year, for many, was a major wrong turn. But, clearly, they're not blind to that. May they clear up the loose ends, get rid of loser characters and return to glory.

Jack Bauer-The Man
Carl Benton (Robert Carlyle)-Renard or Full Monty. Take your pick
Tom Lennox-Weasel Face, Weasel, Vigo Raiser (Ghostbusters 2, remember?)
Noah Daniels-Lex Luthor (he did his voice in a Superman movie) or Jim Jones
Allison Taylor (Cherry Jones)-President Sheriff Big Hat (All I've seen her in is Signs)
Henry Taylor-First Lady. What?
Frank Trammel (Gil Bellows)-Nerd! He really looks like a matured Poindexter from Revenge of the Nerds. Poindexter works best here. Poindexter.
Gen. Benjamin Juma (Tony Todd)-Future Dead Dude
Ike Dubaku (Hakeem Kae-Kazim)-Lion Food
Jonas Hodges (Jon Voight)-Mr. Phelps, I am skipping the obvious Angelina reference here. Too easy. Now from IM 1, not so easy.
There you have it, once more characters leak out the more funny nicknames come up!
