I do hope they wrap up Jack's illness within the next two episodes. It's been a moving story line...but it's time to move it along so we can see Jack back in action.

Given that there is no certain cure, I think Jack will be struggling with his illness for the remainder of the season (and perhaps beyond), but doubt he'll be stuck in the office. He'll go after Tony at some point.

Agreed. Jack will have this condition for the remainder of the season. It'll be interesting to see how he performs when he's not at his best. It may give Tony the upper hand down the line somewhere.

I'm sure the doctor will whip up some super version of that anti-shake medicine so Jack will be able to function for longer periods (at least, I hope she does B) ). The building explosion was one impressive special effect for a TV show. That should make the behind the scenes of the DVD extras.

that was a pretty full episode. But it wasn't as good as some of the past ones. I'm really hated Almeida right now.

I'm looking forward to Voight hamming it up again next week when he gets to have a friendly chat with Bauer

I was actually surprised that they spoiled that bit in the previews; it looked like he was dead meat in the truck.

Nah, there HAD to be at least one Bauer/Voight scene before its over. I'm looking forward to Voight giving it some major ham faster than you can say "And the Emmy for Best Supporting Actor in a tv series goes to..." B)

And it's only fitting that Voight should have been the one to break 24's long-standing 'no food or bathroom breaks' rule. Go, Jon. It helped, it didn't hurt a bit!

Filler episode but pretty decent. Best performance by Mary Lynn Rajskub for years. I'm quite keen for Aaron to save Hodges from Olivia next week.

Also, this new group's briefing scene and the associated anonymity was loosely similar to Quantum's at the opera in QUANTUM OF SOLACE.

I'm left wondering if maybe they've taken a serioso wrong turn here with Olivia's plans for Hodges. It seems a bit operatic to me, throwing the tone out of kilter. We'll see. So much for the Ice Queen who could cope with anything.

That was great to see! I've been waiting for that moment all season. The Bauer-Hodges scene was also top notch.

I was going to say the same thing. This season was great when it was called "Quantum of Solace" AND "Goldeneye" (the good guy gone bad scenerio)!

I guess imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.

Janis just got OWNED, Bauer-style!

Agreed! Unfortunately, Garofalo in real life would act the same way. Did anyone see that clip of her that was played on Bill O'Reilly's show yesterday? What a tool she is! B)

So am I. I don't really think we need this extra subplot with her, unless she immediately joins Hodges's inner "posse" so to speak, and helps him escape. Then that would be two main characters who were betrayed!

Btw, I have not scene the teaser for next week. I'm just speculating on my own. But that would not be shocking if it turns that way.

...and that's the sound of your credibility completely evaporating.

By the way, I want to point out that I'm surprised how positively the Afghani-American "proxy" for the conspirators was portrayed, considering the conglomerate on whose channel the show is screened...

I don't feel my credibility is evaportating at all. When someone says that anyone who disagrees with Obama are white racists, I have a BIG problem with that! I'm not condemning her political beliefs, I'm condemning her derogatory remarks, which by the way are as bad as if a white person were to call Obama the N-word. But she gets away with it because she has so many willing accomplises in the media.

Btw, I think she has done a great job on the show, and is a good actress. I separate her real life political beliefs from her acting when watching her on the show. But I will not let her get away with that remark she made without calling her out on it. Just using my right to free speech here. :)

Hard to believe the season is almost over! Yes, timid Janis getting chewed out was great, but I still have a feeling that Kim will be back soon...

Yes, I agree. We never did see her get on the plane to go home...though what she's been doing for the past couple of hours will take a little explaining.

WOW!!!!!
What an episode that was!
I am, not stunned, but excited for the season finale! I can't wait to see what happens when Jack confronts Tony (again).

But again, why is Jack complaining that his disease have no cure??? Couldn't Kim just come and give him her stem cells? (My guess, Jack wants to see the job through, first. Then, when things have settled down, it might happen...)

Yeah I figured. I posted a pic of her on the set in "action" a while ago in this thread, and that scene hasn't appeared yet. Plus, unless they're planning to give us a Jack-less season 8, they need to keep her around for the Miracle Cure.

Well after tonight I'm sure the set builders are pleased, as no more scenery will be chewed by a certain someone

And no more of the Will Patton-led Quantum type organization this week? I'm guessing they're going to be back for next year.

I think the stem cells would only provide treatment, not a cure, and he doesn't want to put Kim at risk unnecessarily.

On the subject of the episode last night, it was pretty much yet another filler, so realistically they have to go full out on these final three episodes. The only real question is who called for the car bomb? Lots of candidates. In other news, I feel a Jack-Tony confrontation is brewing soon.

I wouldn't consider last night's episode as more filler. Imo, we're going through the sort of pacing modulation that will make a slam-bang ending all the more effective. Gonna miss that certain someone. And I'm mighty curious to see what's in store for Olivia. We caught a flash of Kimsy in the teaser for next week. There's gotta be a cure!

Ah while I remember, one of the producers revealed a while back in an interview that the final line of the season from a draft script begins:

"You need to _______________"

Apparently spoken by
Spoiler

It is possible that it has been slightly changed, but suggestions on a postcard nonetheless.

I'm sure Jack's action was entirely appropriate under the circumstances. The man still has his head and should be thankful. Let's move along to season 8.
