Kim wasn't supposed to be in that episode.Kim wasn't in that episode...I agree on Voight, apart from his character's name, he's been a fantastic villian facing Jack Bauer.
Spoiler
What's wrong with Voight's character's name?
The only thing I can think of that's wrong is that I can't remember it.
The name's Hodges. Jonas Hodges.

Yep, I'm slightly concerned that they could end up retreading old territory with this, but if this is to be the final season, hopefully they can really think of something fresh and exciting with the plot.I'm sure this has already been posted somewhere around here, but here's an article from IGN regarding casting for season 8. http://tv.ign.com/ar...9/969510p1.html
Anyway, I'm slightly bored so I'm going to make some predictions about the rest of Season 7 and how that may link into Season 8:

The show has a very good relationship with parts of the US military, who assist with a lot of the helicopter/aerial stunts. I assume they also help with the provision of military props.I can't believe how much money Fox has to fund for military vehicals and guns.

Link to the review here - contains a few spoilerish details, but nothing major. It really does sound great. I've got a few ideas about what could happen tonight, and the way the writing has improved recently, I'm confident we will not be disappointed.Tonight's episode sounds like a ripsnortin' ride. USA Today gives it four stars and, without giving away any sp;oilers, promises resolution on several issues...and a new departure with a terrific twist.

regrettably, I'll have to pass on your spoiler till tomorrow. But I'm intriqued by TV Guide's promise that we'll learn what Hodges really wants. Sex with the prez???

The link is to the USA Today article, so it's probably just what you've already read.regrettably, I'll have to pass on your spoiler till tomorrow. But I'm intriqued by TV Guide's promise that we'll learn what Hodges really wants. Sex with the prez???

I too am stumped for Hodges' motivation, but he definitely seems to be losing his marbles, so I hope it's something absolutely ridiculous - a piece of cheese from the moon, that sort of thing.
My official prediction: Mr Almeida turns... (deliberately left open to interpretation)
Also, a couple of pieces of Season 8 info:

And I'm not just referring to Chloe's strangely serious-but-funny PSA, either

Yeah, I tried to find it on youtube, I want to see it again it was so weird. What did she say, something like "Jack Bauer can't stop global warming on his own, what's up with that?"

I've been reliving the episode over and over again in my head today. Haven't had the most productive of days as a result! Even though I started to see it coming, I was shocked with the way they handled the ending. Absolutely terrific. Even though the motives aren't clear yet, there is no way that the character can come back from this. Bad through and through. For those who have not seen this episode yet, the last half hour is great, but the last five minutes you have to see to believe!
One of the best episodes of the entire series!
In addition, terrific scene with Kim and Jack. Hopefully Hodges will not just be left to fester away in a cell. We need some more Voight action; he continues to be amazing.
I think this may well have trumped Season 5 as my favourite season now, but they need to keep the consistency for the last six episodes. Up to a few weeks ago, I was quite content that it seemed that Season 8 will be the final one. Now, I'm disappointed; the shake-up of personnel has refreshed the series and it's back to being one of the best things on television.

I agree re Kim, who redeemed herself completely in this scene. And I won't soon forget the sight of the rabid Hodges attempts to do to the prez. My word!

Did anyone catch the preview for next time? Who was that blonde woman with the blue shades standing outside Hodges' cell? Also, what did he mean by asking her how she was goin to get him out of there?
