Maybe all of this is a test for Jack set up by his Dad, who has plans in place and he just wanted to make sure Jack was up for the challenge?

No offense Nimsworth, but I could not stand Erin Driscoll when she was CTU director. I don't know what it was, but she got on my nerves.

Oh believe me Hawk, she annoyed the hell out of me as well. I just think it'd be cool to see everyone who F'd with Jack brought back. I mean the poor guy cant get a break can he. First Cheng Zhi rains on his post suitcase nuke parade now Doyle crashes his mission.

Driscoll would be the icing on the "Screw with bauer" cake

Good point Nimsworth. Jack has been getting screwed over for the past 5 seasons, why should they let up now:)? I thought he almost caught a break with Audrey but she appears to be totally f-ed up in the head now, so any meaningful relationship with her appears to be out of the question.

Here's some interesting news... There are going to be six mini-episodes available (not sure how exactly) which deals with a "debriefing" from the day. Moreover, an element of plot is lifted directly from DIE ANOTHER DAY. Worrying, eh?! :cooltongue:

What!? Where did you here this???

Oh, and guess what (ha stuck with it!) I just ordered the CTU meesanger Bag from the 24 fan club, as well as a couple CTU t-shirts from cafepress.com. The bag is 15x11x6 inches, and it has a button on the front with th e official CTU logo. I'm so excited lol.

Nice. Please post your thoughts when you get the messenger bag. I've debated getting this one from Amazon but held off. While $16.99 is a good deal, I was a little concerned the quality might be lacking. Plus, the CTU logo would be nice. :cooltongue:

Sure thing! I can't wait for this bag, it looked so awesome, spent the rest of the money I had on it (on the 24 fan club site the total is 42 $, and thats if you're a member!). I'm sure it will be woth it.

What a major surprise: Day 6 is shaping up to be right up there with the best. With each new revelation, more of the things that had bugged me are put into perspective. Now the new acting prez is actually developing into a sympathetic character. The Peter MacNicols character is endlessly complex. Doyle was humanized in a very moving scene. Once again, I'm right there, perched on the edge of my seat, awaitin' and awonderin' what these devil writers will do next.

Well, reviews here have certainly improved. A few episodes ago Season 6 was the Die Another Day of the 24 series (to use one term of phrase).

I don't think I would call Season 6 as among the best. Come to think of it, I feel that last exception season of "24" was Season 2. Season 3 started out slow but became pretty good. The last three seasons had some good moments, but on the whole seemed like a mixed bag to me. I thought that Season 6 had started out well. But it's overall story seemed rather flawed . . . like Seasons 4 and 5.

Did anyone else catch in the previews that they said only 3 more episodes left? I know I'm not crazy because I was talking to someone at work about this & he saw the same thing. The official website has 4 more episodes left so they must be counting the traditional 2 hour finale as 1 episode? Or another explanation is that it was just a promo that should have run next week. Whatever the case, I still think it's going to be a fun ride to the ending. I typically hold complete judgement of the seasons until they wrap & I can put the day's events into context.

Last nights episode was excellent. Doyle finally eased up, Jack beat the living hell out of some CTU agents, and he was once again screwed over but someone he has no control over. Poor guy. I must say though, when I found out that the VP slept with his 30 year old secretary, I shivered. That's wrong on so many levels haha.

Yeah, they're counting the 2 hour finale as a single finale. The previews from last week said 4 more episodes left, etc.

Here's a little snippet from this week's TV Guide to whet everyone's appetites for the end of the season:
"...someone you thought was long dead is coming back with a vengeance..."

Guesses anyone?!!?

I thought Jack killed Chapelle in season 2? That would be an interesting turn of events if some how Jack did not actually kill him. If I had to be bet, I would say someone from the Drazen family in season 1 survived and wants revenge on Jack.

On a side not, does anyone else think that the CTU security guards serve the same purpose in 24 that the red shirts serve in Star Trek? They are just there for Jack to beat the crap out of. I wonder if they get 'Jack Bauer Pay' in their checks? Kinda like hazard pay. We'll give you an extra $200 a pay check because there is a high probability Jack will beat you up.

Its Behrooz, out for vengeance. I'm not kidding! Well I don't know, really, but I think it would be a great twist to have Behrooz as a future 24 villain, his twisted psyche blaming CTU for the death of his parents.

So either him, or Chase Edmunds' severed hand, out for justice, Addams Family/Evil Dead style.

I'm guessing Logan.

Ok, the CTU messanger bag is in! It is fantastic, a very large main pocket, two medium sized pockets in the front, and one zip pocket inside the main one. The antique brass CTU emblam is on there, and that gives it some extra flavor (and by flavor I mean it looks pretty bad [censored]). Highly recommended, you can order it from 24fanclub.com

Nina Meyer perhaps?

how about David Palmer. He may not have been dead, but proclaimed dead to the press and everyone else.

The other possibilty could be that the article might have been written several weeks ago before we learned that Audrey was still alive.

I'd feel a bit cheated if Nina Myers turned out to be alive. I'm sorry, but that death in Season 3 was effective in its own right and should remain that way.

Can't comment on Palmer yet. I haven't reached Season 5.

Behrooz should still be too young to have developed into a revenge-hungry mercenary. It's only been two years since Season 4.

Ahhh it was good to see the old classic 24 Plot device brought back. Thats right the old "CTU HAS BEEN COMPROMISED!" is back with a vengeance!! This seemed to me to be another one of them "buildup to next week" 24 episodes but it was done solid.

I'm assuming Wayne Palmer and Bill Buchanan will join Logan, Lynne Kreskie and BEHROOZ in 24 Limbo now. Good to see Farmer Hogget is still good for selling out his country for some personal gain.

Cheng Zhi is starting to annoy me as a villan. Aside from his "Mista Bowaaaa" I'm really starting to hate the bastard. After watching 24 it makes me feel glad that his daughter gets kidnapped in Rush Hour 1.

Milo's little "I AM SPARTACUS" really was worth it wasnt it?

I'm going to refrain from reading spoilers since where so close to the end of the day but hcmv007's call of a DIE ANOTHER DAY style ending has me curious.

Bring on the last three hours!

Rock 'em, shock 'em time last night, with a splash of Die Hard at the finish. I want a major Fu fight between Jack and Daddy Dearest, damn the age difference between them. From a consistent critic of Day 6--it's smokin'. And, according to the latest TV Guide article, Sutherland and crew are considering new ground for Day 7: including, possibly, a brand new location. That would work just fine for me.

Great episode last night once again. Kinda sad that Mylo is out of the picture but hey! Maybe we'll get to see Jack kill his dad afterall (a thought that has been floating around in my head for a while). Next week certainly should be interesting.

Wow, great episode. You knew Dad Bauer was going to come back & just be irritating & cocky just like he was last night. The last three hours are going to be great. On season 7, it would be interesting if they moved to somewhere other than LA. I realize they stay there for budgetary reasons but when you have so many seasons in the can, maybe Fox can spend a little more to keep the show interesting.

Matt, thanks for the feedback on the messenger bag. Looks like I need to order one.
