I agree. While some of the posters could be better, they are definitely keeping my interest level for the movie pretty high. But it's kind of pointless to complain about the viral campaign since it's nothing more than a gift to the fans. It's not there to advertise the film, since it's just marketing to the group that was already locked-in as viewers. It's just Nolan saying, "Here... I know you're anticipating this, so have some fun while you wait."I also think that the viral marketing that they've been using is starting to wear a bit thin now. It was a refreshing way to generate buzz for the film more than six months before it was supposed to be released, but at this point in the year, it's growing a bit tired and it would be nice if they would move towards a more traditional advertising campaign for the film.

The batpod poster is just awesome, and the poster will all three main characters is just old school cool. It definitely evoked a Batman Returns feeling for me.

Can somebody take those three pictures and use Photoshop to emulate the Batman Returns poster featuring Batman and the two villains? That would be awesome! The batpod poster is just awesome, and the poster will all three main characters is just old school cool. It definitely evoked a Batman Returns feeling for me.

Didn't catch that, actually. Nice. I like that one even more now.The Harvey Dent one is great. Those not particularly familiar with the character probably won't get the careful suggestions in this picture (only one-half of his face is visible, and the "I Believe in Harvey Dent" badge suggests the coin), but for Batman fans, it does wonders. Great foreshadowing. The Joker one is an obvious Photoshop, but I like what they've done with Harvey Dent...
Really? No offense, but you think that floating heads with penguins at the bottom is more creative than the flaming bat-logo design? Tend to think that the latter is a bit more creative than the former, but that's just me.Can somebody take those three pictures and use Photoshop to emulate the Batman Returns poster featuring Batman and the two villains? That would be awesome! The batpod poster is just awesome, and the poster will all three main characters is just old school cool. It definitely evoked a Batman Returns feeling for me.
And whilst I usually hate floating head posters, these do seem to have a bit more to them. Still, I like the one we got last week better.

Ledger's Joker just looks better and better, but it's great to get a look at the other elements of this film: Aaron Eckhart's Harvey Dent, for one, and Michael Caine's Alfred back with his wonderful wit.

OMG!Get a load of this - it is quite revealing. It is a comparison of TDK trailer and the Batman 1989 trailer. Edit or not, it is pretty cool.

Edited together. Isn't it rather convenient that only the TDK audio track plays over it, as opposed to both? It would show that the alleged '89 Batman trailer isn't just, say, a bunch of random scenes spliced together for the sole purpose of making some sort of "discovery."Get a load of this - it is quite revealing. A similar video was cobbled together just after the original one was released in December, which uses many of the same cues in the comparison video.

You can check the authenticity of this Batman trailer by finding the "official" Batman trailer online. If they match then this "discovery" is legitimate.Edited together. I took them only using The Dark Knight audio as a way of preventing incoherent "noise" due to overlapping audio tracks.

The link to the comparison video denounces it at the bottom. And as the website says, I doubt "www.filmratings.org" and "www.mpaa.org" would show up at the beginning of a trailer in 1989.

But damn... two great trailers in two days. First, THE DARK KNIGHT, which just continued the trend, and then INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL which established that Indy's return really is going to be worth seeing.
