Others can go if they wish, but I’ve got the DVD now, so it’s pretty pointless. I’d much rather a re-release of Batman (1989) to commemorate the 20th anniversary. I watched that film countless times as a child, so seeing it on the big screen for the first time would be excellent.

Completely agreed. I would definitely consider going to see a re-release of Batman (1989), as it's a film I never saw in theaters. I've seen The Dark Knight in theaters once, and once again on Blu-ray, and that's enough for me.

I find this re-release to be rather pointless and irritating to a degree. Hasn't this film made enough money? Does the studio really need more than the nearly one billion that the film has pulled in worldwide?

Speaking of Batman, executive producer of the Batman franchise, Michael Uslan, is speaking at my school on Saturday. I will be in attendance.

I figure I may as well catch it in IMAX one last time. I figure that's how it's meant to be seen, so why not? It's a visual treat.

Batman (1989) had some of the best music around. Totally beat the crap out of The Dark Night when it came to the score

Easily. That and Elfman's Batman Returns trounce Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard's music.

Here's a gallery featuring some new screenshots.

Among others, you'll find a deleted scene of Joker sitting in the backseat of a police car.

This was a great film. I enjoyed it very much, BUT, I am finding it hard to watch it again. I don't feel like revisiting TDK at all. It's probably b/c its intensity its draining.

I've seen it twice, but I felt it lost some of its power when watched on a smaller screen. This is a movie best appreciated in the cinema, IMO, though I still greatly enjoyed it on DVD.
