Athena and I just rolled into our hotel room here in San Diego after a full day at the con. We were on scene (though not in the room) when the title was announced. I already have my special Comic Con "Revenge of the Sith" t-shirt. :)

I think it's a great title.

I think it's great too. Actually, I've liked the titles of the other two prequels as well. They really embrace the inherent cheesy orgins of the first film.

I also love the title, it's a nice little homaged towards Return Of The Jedi's original title Revenge Of The Jedi. Which was changed because the Jedi do not "seek revenge". Well, he got it in eventually, and it suits it!

I was in the room showcasing Star Wars at Comic Con when the announcement was made. People went completely crazy. It was amazing to say the least.

I do like the title very much-it's perfect. I'm actually very excited about this movie despite the cynicism I've aquired regarding the prequels. I really love the Luke/Emperor scenes in ROTJ so 'Revenge of the Sith' has promise. I love that Ian Mcdamiord is still the same actor playing Palpatine...May can't come soon enough! :)

Hi Zencat/Athena007. If you have time go to La Jolla (my home town) and spend an afternoon at 'Win 'n Sea' beach. You won't be dissapointed. :)

Fantastic about the continuity for Emperor Palpatine, I agree. Makes it all the more pleasing. I think and hope that this third film will do much better than the first two prequels. While those two were building up in a way, now we've got the whole thing going. Should be a great movie.

I hadn't realized it was Ian McDiarmid that played the Emperor in ROTJ as well as the prequels, until recently. He's always been a highlight of the movies, and we'll probably be seeing a lot more of him! (On the upcoming DVD's as well)

He looks his all time best in Return of the Jedi. You hadn't seen him before, (except briefly in TESB, but hardly in person) and I think he makes quite the impact in the film.

The actor was different in ESB (to be changed on the DVD releases, apparently).

And don't you mean Return of the Jedi, Lord of the Rings loverboy? :)

Star Wars Episode Three: The Revenge of the Sith has a chance to be the best Star Wars movie. Rumor has it that a PG-13 rating (US) is being considered.

Wouldn't be that big a deal. PG-13, which of course signifies more action/sex, whatever is the rating that most filmmakers shoot for. Can't see much of a problem with that or the regular Star Wars PG.

Star Wars IV is one of the most violent movies I've ever seen and it's PG.

AOTC was also PG-13. For Sci-Fi elements, and violence.

Well the PG-13 rating didn't exist in 1977, and I'm sure they didn't want an 'R.'

Have to disagree John.

Rated PG for sustained sequences of sci-fi action/violence

I guess you're right, I always thought my DVD said PG-13 and not PG. A raise in the rating wouldn't be a bad thing, if it meant more intense action sequences were involved or large scale dogfights in space.

I agree, PG and PG-13 are basically interchangeable ratings.

In Britain they had to cut out a split second where Anankin headbutts Count Dooku or they faced getting a 12 rating. I don't understand the UK film censors. In Episode IV there are severed limbs, blood loss and charred skeletal remains but it curiously remains a U certificate. (Universal - Suitable for all)

But headbutting isn't cool, obviously.

I suppose the UK censors must have something against headbutting. (GoldenEye)

As cool as that logo is (close to the original films), I fear that they won't be using it in the film and that they'll stick to the Eppisode I and Eppisode II style logos, but we'll see :)

ZenCat posted this earlier... but I took it at Comic-Con while they were showing some footage from Eppisode III (Eppisode III: Revenge of The Sith).

I wish they'd stick with more of the original style, 'Star Wars' in the upper middle. The new styles are fine and nice, but it would be a nice way to connect with thid third movie.

It's kind of reminiscent of the style used for Return of the Jedi.

Actually, SW:RotS could get the PG-13 rating just because of Anakin's and Obi Wan's little dissagreement. While on the subject of that, I heard it will be the best scene in the entire series.

Yeah, kind of, I like how Return of the Jedi's isn't all in a straight line writing style.
