I've been following production of this, with the webdocs on SW.com, and I think that this may turn out to be a good one.

I strongly disagree. Ep. III will have great box office, but it's not going to take down Titanic. It should have box office about the same as Ep. I, or a little higher.Ep III will be the highest grossing movie ever. Even if you didn't like Ep1 or 2, people are just gonna see it anyway too see how it sets everything up. Almost everybody has probably seen Star Wars and I mean this movie will be a larger grosser than Titanic. I also heard the movie is supposed to be much much longer. Over 3 hours or so I heard, I happen to like Rise of the Empire. Each movie has an according title to it and I think this one will fit the movie perfectly.
It's not over 3 hrs. Lucas confirmed a while ago that it was going to be the shortest entry in the entire series - just under 2 hrs.
And I love the title.

Really? I hadn't heard that. Slightly discouraging, since there is still a great deal of things to connect for it to be under 2 hours. It's not over 3 hrs. Lucas confirmed a while ago that it was going to be the shortest entry in the entire series - just under 2 hrs.
And I love the title.

I agree. It does seem to be an extremely short time for all the Ep. III happenings to occur - but from what I know of the story, it does move at an incredible pace. When I think about it, it just might work - a lot of solid stuff and very little dead weight.Really? I hadn't heard that. Slightly discouraging, since there is still a great deal of things to connect for it to be under 2 hours. It's not over 3 hrs. I know it has a very long and intense battle between Anakin and Obi-Wan. But you figure before that, Anakin has to be turned, and that wont exactly be a quick short bit. The twins have to be delivered to Owen and Beru. Dooku will be killed. The Jedi will probably be seen hunted. Yoda has to flee to Dagobah. Padme will probably die. Mace Windu must die (can't be "like a punk though") But I guess with the traditional cut-to's, this can be accomplished. |
I'm starting to feel geekish.

Well, in a film where Dooku is vanquished in the first 10 minutes, I think it's going to be done. I think it all really can be done in 2 hrs, well I hope it can, anyway.I know it has a very long and intense battle between Anakin and Obi-Wan. But you figure before that, Anakin has to be turned, and that wont exactly be a quick short bit. The twins have to be delivered to Owen and Beru. Dooku will be killed. To unseat Titanic at the box office, Revenge of the Sith has to become a cultural phenomenon during its run in theaters. It needs to bring people back to the theater for multiple viewings in which they bring their family and friends who haven't seen the film or attract people who have stopped going to the movies. I am skeptical that this film will generate enough public interest to become another cultural phenomenon.Ep III will be the highest grossing movie ever. Even if you didn't like Ep1 or 2, people are just gonna see it anyway too see how it sets everything up. Almost everybody has probably seen Star Wars and I mean this movie will be a larger grosser than Titanic. I also heard the movie is supposed to be much much longer. I hope that the finished film exceeds expectations and its successful, but I believe that it's too early to make predictions about its success or failure with audiences.
