Recently purchased the Signet 1st edition paperback of MOONRAKER. I always wanted to get that artwork.

Nice price too.

I have to track down the UK 1st paperback of Moonraker. Definitely one of the more expensive ones.

A very smart CR Marketing Guide came through today.

This is reminiscent of the Pressbooks (or Campaign Books, depending on which side of the Atlantic you're on) of old. It is a very well produced guide in thick card throughout to showcase everything being done to market the film with addresses and images of everything. Numbers of quads and 1 sheets being available, the papers involved, all the promotions.

Apparently, there will be a London bus entirely 'wrapped' in the CR skin.

Pressbooks went out of fashion for Bond for Licence to Kill. Following then, the UK distributor (UIP) produced a marketing document which was nothing more than a spiral bound document, albeit in hundreds of pages, going into infinitesimal detail.

It is quite surprising that the P/b concept has been resurrected for CR.

I bought and today received a Perma books "Live and Let Die" first edition US paperback in mint condition. For $36 inclusive of postage, i think that is quite a good purchase.

Just got a French press kit in the mail. Looks nice and good photos too. I'm going to be getting some large posters for my classroom. So James Bond in French in a uh...4 x 6 foot size?

Well, what can I say? My classroom's different :)

My latest acquistions are 007 Magazines nos. 11 and 13. Considering how rare these are, I jumped on them for $24.95 each.

What really surprised me was how small the format used to be. At first I thought the seller made a mistake and sent me the wrong product. Rather than the standard magazine size format, 007 Magazine used to be more of a digest size, or a little bigger than that.

Both great deals indeed, Turn.

I recently won a Casino Royale promotional poker chip. Looked pretty cool.

Just had to buy this item for my collection, if only for the sheer ridiculousness of it... until yesterday I didn't even know they had made a CR model of this, and a limited edition no less :-)

I agree with Qwerty, that is a cool, unique find.

How come we never get anything cool like that in the U.S.? It's always an Aston Martin recycled over and over.

eBay and Bond--two of my favorite vices. I already had most of the books, videos, DVDs, CDs, and even posters before eBay came around. But still ...

2-CD version of DAD soundtrack
2-CD version of TND soundtrack
2-CD version of CR soundtrack (CDR - but with music for trailer + itunes tracks)
(missed out on expanded LTK score, I think someone on this post got it over me)
Basie Meets Bond LP (just before official CD came out)
Authorized Biography of 007 by John Pearson hardback
video game strategy guides
all Bond laserdiscs (+ limited ed. 30th anniversary Thunderball, still sealed)
Bond beer glasses :cooltongue:
framed Moonraker International poster (glass broke on arrival though)

But my all time favorite was the '81 Lotus Esprit listed as a Bond car -- $24K
(I didn't bid. Thought about it at $14K!)

Also, missed out on hardbacks of two Gardner novelizations (LTK and GE) for $250. Now each is listed close to if not over $1000!

Complete quotable James Bond card set- all 100 cards. $1.99. Brand new. A few years ago, it cost me $3.99 for only five cards, so this was definitely a great deal!

That is a good deal. I just picked that set up for $10 at a comic con on Sunday. But I also picked up the rare OHMSS copy of The James Bond Files from the mid '80s in near mint shape for only $1 at the same con.
