I've tried to resist the urge to spend to much by being very selective. In the past 5 years i have only bought 30 items. I would like to start selling too but it seems like more trouble.

I have long periods where I don't buy anything, and then I really get into it and buy a lot of stuff over a short period of time.

Over the years I have sold a number of things, and it is quite a bit of work. But I'm about to the point again where I need to sell some things, so I may be selling again soon.

A banner day for me today. I picked up 5 Japanese Bond programs including DAF, OP, AVTAK, TND and TWINE for just a little over $20. I lost a bid for an MR program by 50 cents and didn't bother bidding on one for TSWLM.

I picked up these for the two Daltons a few weeks ago and really liked what I saw. The Japanese really did a nice job putting these together. Can't read anything, but the pictures are usually so good, and sometimes rare, it doesn't matter.

In recent weeks I've also picked up some of the French fan club magazines, a TWINE trading card binder and an assortment of Bond magazines.

The UK FRWL Synopsis.

Just looking for the Dr No UK synopsis now to make it a full complement through to the last ever one made, which was for DAD.

I've yet to buy anything off eBay. Although, I've bid on several things. It's just by the time the auctions were ending the bid was far more than I would pay. Damn the auctioneers and their friends hiking up the bid!

I bought the two Flint movie novelizations on eBay recently, but nothing Bond related yet.

Don't use eBay all that much. I tend to do my shopping on Amazon (US and UK).

An International (UK?) 1 Sheet for AVTAK.

There seems to be quite a lot on ebay at present on the memorabilia side, if that in any way blows your hair back.

Slowly working on those expensive Jonathan Capes... At least Thrilling Cities is one of the easier ones to obtain.

My latest aquisitions were an NSNA press kit with several photos and the 1967 Popular Mechanics with Little Nellie on the cover.

Unfortunately, I've been on a losing streak on eBay lately and missed the deadline on a couple of others I wanted to bid on.

Been doing the same. However i have had real difficulty finding very good to fine copies of Dr No, Spy and even OHMSS.

2-3 years ago Dr No firsts were quite common on Ebay and not overly expensive, sometimes multiple copies were for sale at the same time. The last year they have been much rarer.

Any book giving you particular heartache Qwerty?
