Does anyone know why they are not looking at Hugh Jackman or Ewan Mcgregor.
Maybe they are? It's all rumor, isn't it? However, I believe Jackman is very busy and an X-Men. As for Ewan McGregor, I'm sorry and I don't mean to upset anybody, but I fail to see anything the least bit truly Bondian in him. I know he's a good actor, but he is just NOT Bond. And I just saw him in The Island and it didn't change my mind.

I wouldn't mind Jackman, but I think that he would be a less irritating rehash of Brosnan-Bond.

I actually liked Martin Campbell's directing in GE, but I would definitely like to see Spottiswoode come back. Apted brought a bit too much emotion to TWINE, but he's a good director nonetheless, just not the right one for what CR could and should be.
I actually would like to see Apted's take on Casino Royale. I think that CR is an emotional tale and that Apted would do a good job of adapting it. I especially think that he would do a great job at adapting the end of the novel for the screen, as there is a great deal of emotional content in the final third or so of the novel. Hopefully Martin Campbell will put the final third of the novel into the film in some way, shape, or form, because it is good stuff and should be there to make the film a solid adaptation of the Casino Royale novel.

The World is not Enough was a fairly emotional story,Goldeneye was just a bunch of explosions.

I agree that Zorro 2 looks and that's worrying but out of Campbell, Spottiswoode, Apted or Tamahori - Campbell is by far the one I'd like to have back.
And is it just me or are Red Grant 15 and Skin 17 the same person?

The trailer for Zorro 2 has me more then a bit concerned about MC as a director but I did feel that Goldeneye was the best of the Brosnan films. I would love to see Paul Greengrass or Matheiw Vaughn or someone fresh have a shot at directing. It would have been great to have a fresh director and a fresh Bond.
I agree I would like to see Matthew Vaughn do one.
or maybe Guy Ritchie?

In 40+ pages and after getting some surreal bovine vibe this is bound to happen. From blame/curse the actor to blame/curse the director to blame/curse the producers to blame/curse the movie.
