Perhaps Bond is going to meet Q at the Tate this time, rather than the National Gallery in Skyfall...
I suspect that the Tate Britain is being used as a base for parking trucks with all the equipment. This is all very convenient for views of the river and MI6 at Vauxhall Bridge.

A tete-a-tete in the Tate?

Liked that...

Yes, they used it a lot as a base during SKYFALL, and also when they were filming on the Thames early in SPECTRE filming.Perhaps Bond is going to meet Q at the Tate this time, rather than the National Gallery in Skyfall...

Nice to hear the 'SPECTRE' machine rumbling again.
And glad things went well, Simon!

If one considers that principal shooting is in its home stretch the editor must already be working on a rough cut...

The DB10 spotted in London. Does anyone recognise where this might be?
Posted 20 April 2015 - 09:38 AM
With a bit of digging, I've found out that the above photo of the DB 10 was posted on April 15th.
It turns out that Jaguar was there too, so I'd say this is London doubling for Rome.

This image from the same set gives away the location:
The thing in the background on the right is a Wallace fountain. Sir Richard Wallace donated 50 of these to the city of Paris as drinking fountains in the 1870s. They're rarely found outside of Paris, so one of these in London should be easy to locate. Where else in London would one of them more fitting than next to the very place where Sir Richards art collection is housed: Hertford House
That's a Bingo!

Excellent sleuthing, gents!
Second that. Both Shrublands and Stromberg. Spy worthy. Congratulations, gentlemen!

Cheers, guys.
That's really impressive, Stromberg. Thanks.

Super news - thanks for the shots and the info!

Now where do you think these fit in?
A gaggle of Hungarian Air Force MiG-23s and MiG-21s located at Budaors Airfield were painted and had prosthetics attached to them so that they would look like USAF fighters. This fighter masquerade of sorts was for the production of James Bond SPECTRE which will be released this November.

Spoiler
That's certainly a possibility. It's interesting that they've painted real fighter jets to look like American jets and not say used full-scale models.
I can't help think that they must be seen flying.

They had "prosthetics attached" to make them look like different jets, not certain if that is safe to fly (actually, I very much doubt it). To show them flying, they could well use scale models or CGI. But CGI or models wouldn't look that good when the jets are shown on the ground, with people or cars etc. moving around them and "stuff" going on.

Wouldn't mockups from scratch be more convincing and easier than getting MiGs from the Budaors Airfield in Hungary?
They could just stand there and look like real USAF fighters.
It's still unclear if they have been brought to the UK or anywhere else for filming. Or if the modifications were done at their home airfield.
EDIT
I've just Googled Budaors Airfield and found out that the photos of the modified jets were taken there. I don't believe they are filming in Hungary.
So, somehow they will need to be transported to the location for filming in another country.
It would be very strange to do the mockups on sight and render them more difficult to transport.
I suspect that the "prosthetics" were added by aeronautic engineered at the airfield and they can still fly.

I saw that report from Hungary kicking around a couple of days ago, and largely ignored it. It doesn't seem to add up with what we know about filming. I wonder if information got mixed up somewhere along the line.
In other news, Daniel Craig is now back filming in the UK, according to the Mail: http://www.dailymail...ck-Spectre.html
The article also includes one of the most ridiculous photos and captions in quite some time.

We know Craig likes tearing it up and around construction sites so he should have no problem battling in, on or over that!
