Must be a daunting task for Mendes and the writers & producers to rebuild the third act whilst shooting is in progress. It's a good thing that we're now in the dark again about what the finale is going to entail. Will it be a dark, low-key thriller affair, or a 21st century update of hollowed out volcanos and Liparus tankers? I'm excited to find out.

The broad strokes of the third act were settled in October. If they have continued to work on the third act, it has mostly been a case of extended fine-tuning.

Seems unlikely that Waltz and co would be in Mexico if they're not involved in the filming there.

Which suggests that at least some of the shooting in Mexico will double for Morocco.

What may also be a reason for a location change: Northern Africa isn't exactly the safest place to be right now (bearing in mind the recent terrorist attacks in Tunisia). Morocco is basically safe - in terms that not much has happened there. But I've been there a few years ago, and I've since seen a place I visited back then being bombed (a cafe in Marrakech). Given what these IS lunatics are up to, an attack on a cultural icon of the West doesn't seem to be out of the question.

Not sure, but apparently Marketto is there, so if he sees this, may be able to let us know.

Also, missed this earlier. IGN report from Mexico:

Everyone still watches and discusses the Teaser - and no one has an eye on the news. Several reports out there from set visits (looks as if there's been a media day). And the best about: no Google translation necessary  :D

Beware, massive spoilers:

This one does not only contain spoilers but also lots of rubbish:

I don't know about that. But their rule is that Bond always travels forwards. This one starts out in Mexico, as we know. So I think it's unlikely he'll be going back there in the same film.

Octopussy? India at either end.

They're all clinging to the mistake that THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS filmed in Mexico, rather than LICENCE TO KILL!

It's an instruction they gave to Purvis and Wade when they started writing them.

This article clarifies what are the plans for the coming weeks:

https://translate.go...5792&edit-text=

"As stated by a source close to the production, the next week a group of 80 people will move to that area (approximately to Palenque, Chiapas) to film aerial maneuvers with two helicopters which were hired for this production, one in which presumably there are actors and a second in which  is placed the camera.

It is still unknown if the actor Daniel Craig will travel to southern Mexico, because initially it is expected  to film only some aspects in the air and it appears that the presence of the cast is not necessary. After finishing with the shots that are still pending, the production will travel to Morocco to continue filming the twenty-fourth installment of James Bond film."

Agreed. Morocco was one the sites I was most interested in for SPECTRE.

I hope Newman channels Mexico's greatest composer, Silvestre Revueltas, like John Williams did in THE LOST WORLD.

Looks great. So - it seems both the Mendes pre-title sequences feature Bond chasing after a target in missions that don't exactly go to plan. And amongst lots of local people.

Wow, it seems like the cast interviews are embargoed until November. Shame.
