Interesting note from the IGN interview. The 1,500 extras in Mexico will be digitally boosted to make it look like an even bigger crowd of around 10,000. Should look fantastic and chaotic I hope.

Also, Thomas Newman has already composed music that's being used in the sequence - presumably being played by the street bands.

2008 in Bregenz we were 1,500 extras, too.

And we were digitally boosted to make it look like 8,000 in the auditorium of the Seebühne in Bregenz.

Has there ever been a Bond movie with more than 1,500 extras in one scene?

They haven't filmed here yet, have they?

I think I read it was being used as a staging area for filming preparations, but may be wrong.

How scary is this? Stunt double now wearing Daniel Craig prosthetic mask! Looks like Marv from 'Sin City'!

All great news.

And a helicopter doing 360 degree flips while Bond fights his prey? That's going to be a spectacle. It brings practical Bond stunts of yesteryear to mind.

If the broadcast interviews were embargoed, then Good Morning Britain aren't sticking to that.

I think the embargo is quite complex - Certain snippets are permitted (for some) but full reports and interviews are held back, then prioritised depending on the swing of those they have promised an "exclusive" too.

I'm afraid they got their facts mixed.. The Bond films have been going for more than 50 years and NOT 30 (well, ok that's true too) and Craig is the SIXTH not SEVENTH official actor.. Still though, nice interview.

Spectre opening sequence is going to be "the biggest in Bond history" according to MGW.

Some nice bits in there. Glad to hear Craig is still enjoying himself. Hopefully he'll stick around a while longer.

I'm sure they always say it's going to be the biggest ever opening sequence, but I'm definitely more excited than usual to see how this one turns out!

Excellent new photo here...

By that time it'll be a SpaceX, or Orion vehicle. ;) Possibly even Virgin Galactic and I also heard the Russians are planning Space tourism trips to the ISS.

Great shot of the helicopter fight, if that is what it is. The other fellow stands no chance. He's fighting a bloke who can stand on top of a crane, catch a handgun thrown at him without overbalancing and falling off, and then throw it straight back at the other guy! :)

(A point made on that 100 best Bond moments link posted on the site recently!)

Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that there was some re-shooting done on the scene in Bond's flat and that

Spoiler

Did I get that wrong?  Was it just a rumor, or did the reshoot have nothing to do with same?  (The more I think about it, the more I think the reshoot had nothing to do with same.)

That was just a rumour at this stage, based on the fact she was hired around the same time they were reshooting those scenes.

Yeah, found it in the Sigman thread after I asked here.  Too bad.  Would've been a nice hat tip to LALD, with Moneypenny finding James having company at home.  The way that scene looked in the teaser trailer, though, I couldn't see them going that route with it.

Trust my laptop to die the day the trailer is released. I've been browsing over the past few days but couldn't make any form of comment! Absolutely enthralling stuff. So I take it the PTS will not only put the action IN the helicopter, but outside as well? We're in for one hell of a ride!

Given the relationship that Virgin has had with the Craig-era Bond films, it's not that far fetched.
