That, actually, would be genius.  And it would help Waltz to be only in one film - should he not want to stay longer.

Assuming that Waltz is actually playing Blofeld, they may have already secured him to appear in multiple films. I think that the original rumors of a two part Bond 24-25 were in fact completely true.

Exactly. I don't really care how Quantum is dealt with (e.g, part of Spectre, morphed into Spectre, at war with Spectre). What I like is that they are closing that circle and resolving the fate of Quantum in some way.

As much as I like the title SPECTRE, I think White's return is the best part of today's news. Wonderful to hear.

4 December 2014, Gaydon: Aston Martin together with EON Productions, the producers of the James Bond film franchise, unveiled Bond’s stunning new car, the Aston Martin DB10, on the 007 stage at Pinewood Studios.

The luxury British sports car brand is delighted to confirm that James Bond will once again drive an Aston Martin in Spectre. On this occasion, it will be a model developed specifically for the film and built in-house by the brand’s design and engineering teams.

Led by Aston Martin Chief Creative Officer, Marek Reichman, the design team worked closely with the film’s director, Sam Mendes, to create the ultimate car for the world’s most famous spy.

Celebrating the great British brand’s half century with Bond, which started with the iconic DB5, the DB10 gives a glimpse to the future design direction for the next generation of Aston Martins.

Dr Andy Palmer, CEO of Aston Martin, said: “In the same year that we celebrate our 50-year relationship with 007, it seems doubly fitting that today we unveiled this wonderful new sports car created especially for James Bond.

Saw this on Facebook this morning, and it took me completely by surprise. Love the teaser, excited about the movie!

Well, after letting everything brew for the last few hours, I believe I'm ready to weigh in: 

 

- The material that is connected to the title excites me.

- The title could have been far more elusive than SPECTRE. 

- Damn excited to see Christoph Waltz in this film (his mannerisms, intelligence and speaking pattern  all scream BLOFELD). 

- The new Aston Martin looks very sleek and modern.

- Dave Bautista looked mammoth on stage. I'm looking forward "The Animal" tearing up his scenes.

- Ralph Fiennes is still the man for M. I'm excited to see how his and Bond's relationship plays out.

- Hopefully, there doesn't end up being another MI6 turncoat in Andrew Scott. I have a feeling he will be KIA.

- I'm happy Thomas Newman is returning. 

- Bond back on skis. Hell yeah.

- A two-film tie-in culminating in Bond 25 seems about right.

 

All in all, a pretty great day to be a Bond fan. Even more excitedly, a knowledgeable one...

I'm hoping Mr. White is the one that sends Bond the cryptic message. That way, the "this time it's personal" aspect of the story is Quantum-related, which I would be very happy about. I'd rather it not be someone else from Bond's past.
