Hopefully someone asks if Waltz is contracted for more than one film. Fingers crossed for Garden of Death, etc for BOND 25.

As long as MI6 stay a strong team I'll be happy - no betrayal, lone wolf, loose cannon - let's see Bond and MI6 acting like the Secret Service they should be!
And maybe Quantum is a cell of Spectre? Goodness...so much to think and debate on now!
And, come on staff, let's get 'Bond 24' replaced now with 'Spectre' on the main forum board!

The cryptic message from his past presumably refers to Oberhauser, and his old skiing days.

I agree with the cryptic message refering to Oberhauser. I'd love it if Quantum has been rebranded to SPECTRE since Blofeld has taken over.

Wonder if I have been right about the whole mountain climbing sequence from Bond's past as a plot point as well? We shall see..

I was going to say....no one has mentioned DC's hair yet....is that a good thing?!
He looks in fine shape and very content. Great to have him back as always.

I'm also very pleased that Mendes confirmed Thomas Newman will be back to score the film. I loved his work on Skyfall and for those who didn't as much, hopefully a second go around might win over some more fans of his work.
I expected this but I am still thrilled. His Skyfall score is my favourite of the modern era.

"M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive" sounds an awful lot like Dench's arc in Skyfall. Could we see the return of Sir Frederick Gray, or Helen McCrory's MP character?

Well, I decided to let it stew before I logged back in:
SPECTRE boys and girls! Liking it more than I thought I would
And something about Batista's (sorry, I keep using his ring name!) outfit makes me hope his character dresses like that in the film.
But I'm getting a serious John Harrison/Khan vibe in regards to Waltz...

Is it my imagination? Does the 007 logo look a little more robust this time out? Not quite as fully rounded as my favorite version from the DAF era but seemingly different to my eyes...
Also...
I would imagine the remaining Factory Entertainment SPECTRE rings will soon be gone.

What I like about the Spectre logo is mainly the font. I'm still trying to figure it out, but I'm glad they went with something different. The previous font is getting too worn. Plus I like the slight shadow and bevel/emboss it has. Looks nice.

A good choice of font indeed. Looks very cryptic.

Presumably Andrew Scott's character Denbigh is a mole or double agent of sorts. It feels like there will be a bit of that.
Yeah, I think so as well. A lot of espionage, double dealings and deceit. I hope they really convey how evil and feared SPECTRE are.

The shortest word title ever, with no compounds! S will become the abbreviation.

I'm also really excited about Thomas Newman returning to score. It'll be great to see him tweak with theme's he worked on for Skyfall as well as do more in Spectre. As well as something Sinister. That would be great.

S will become the abbreviation.
Why do we need an Abbreviation - it's a short word as it is?

Greetings everyone! Long time since I've posted anything, but today's announcement is outstanding!!!!! Glad to see the return of my favourite criminal organization to the Bond cinimatic universe. As far as the DB 10 is concerned, where is my checkbook?

Well, who'd have thought it?
I like the idea of Spectre, upper or title case as the title. The graphic image of the bullet hole and the cracks underneath ought to tip off fans as well that the special executive is back in the counterintelligence, terrorism, revenge and extortion business, and it ought to give the game away about the chief villain, unless;
Waltz really is playing a character named Oberhauser, Andrew Scott's character really is named Denbigh (I was at school with a chap named Denbigh, by the way!) and Monica Belucci isn't playing a female Blofeld or a glam version of Irma Bunt.
What I'm suggesting is - suppose this is the first part of a two parter in which the organisation appears but not the leader. Or it's like the good old days when the only shots of Blofeld were the back of his head and his hands? Having built up all the rumour and speculation about the return of "you know who", it would be a hook for Bond 25 if the audience had to wait until then, presumably in Daniel Craig's final outing, to see the head of SPECTRE.

I think SPECTRE is already being acronymed. OHMSS is still the well known acronym in the series!

The Synopsis is really interesting to me. It discloses about Bond's past, so we're going to learn more about his past and this Oberhauser. With M battling political forces, I can only say that this won't directly pick up right where Skyfall left off, but the fallout from that film (M [Dench] death, Silva, compromised agents and compromised national security, etc) will all be dealt with. So Spectre can either be something that goes back to his childhood to possibly his parents (not saying it will, just throwing this out there), it could be essentially Quantum 2.0 (I hope not), or this secret organization that literally, nothing is known about (in the film).
The cryptic message is probably relating more to Oberhauser, more than anything. The way I'm taking this in, is that Spectre in this film has been around for some time, just in the shadows, and that there's some sort of conspiracy. Could possibly involve anything. Who Knows. I'm probably rambling now. I've been up for a day now.
Just realized maybe I should've put this in spoiler text....

Also, could this mean that we might see the story of the YOLT novel in perhaps already the next movie?

I am quite frankly amazed Monica Bellucci is in the film. After the years of rumours, i would have quite happily bet the world that she would never be chosen for a role in Bond. Chuffed that she is though.
I would also have bet the title not to have been SPECTRE, or that Blofeld would be back.
And the DB10?? Specific only to the film or for general release? I must admit to not having heard about this as a future model number.
I love the font, full of shadows, the letters' existence only highltighted by the bevel. And if that is a teaser poster, splendid. I hope there is a printing.
A nice press call all round. Well done chaps.
