I wonder if it's SPECTRE of simply Spectre?
I'd prefer it in lower case, actually.

I loved the montage at the beginning, with 'Nobody Does it Better' That was a great intro to the proceedings.

Christoph Waltz's character is called Oberhauser, according to Empire.
He could well be Oberhauser in a "Count de Bleuchamps" sort of way, and eventually turns out to be Blofeld. Or perhaps Waltz will play a Largo type, and Blofeld will be an unseen character. Perhaps even a question mark in the end credits?
I just hope ESB does´t turn out to be the lower employee of Mi6, Danby. Awful scenario, I know, but the Moriarty thing is getting me worried.

Good point univex - you never know. All current MI6 agents seems to be evil, or corrupt.
I reckon EON know their fans, and expect them to pin Blofeld on Waltz which is just what they want until they give the sucker punch that Blofeld is actually a WOMAN.
Bet you.

Love the title. Some people are referencing it to be an octopus. Is in not a spectre? A ghost....

Would say that Andrew Scott being Moriarty would make him highly unlikely to be Blofeld. If they did make him Blofeld it'd just be copying Sherlock, where Andrew Scott is introduced as a lowly IT guy at Barts Morgue who has a crush on Sherlock before the reveal at the end that he is infact Moriarty (sorry for anyone who hasn't seen it, that particular event was 5 years ago now)

Is the bullet hole a reference to OHMSS?
I had the same thought after seeing that.

That's why I prefer it in lower case. It can take on various meanings.

Predictable... once again...

Better look at the gunshot. EDIT: The Official Teaser Poster.

I agree - hopefully, they have too much taste to repeat that.

I would love that twist if belucci was blofeld, maybe with some elements if his daughter when she took over spectre in the gardner books.

Bet you.
Very possible. Or perhaps she isn't Blofeld but Bunt...

The title has grown on me - and that octopus gunshot is good enough to be a poster.

So how many of you are making that "teaser poster" your desktop background?
It looks like it could be a ghost or the octopus symbol.

I reckon it's the octopus reference, all them legs and things.
Such a good title. I thought I'd hate it, but it's just classic James Bond. You can't grumble about that. Simple, solid and conjures up just what it should - mystery and danger.

Now that my adrenaline is going, I think I'll start working on some desktops

And here´s a plot description from BBC:
According to the film studio, the plot will see "a cryptic message from Bond's past send him on a trail to uncover a sinister organisation.
"While M battles political forces to keep the secret service alive, Bond peels back the layers of deceit to reveal the terrible truth behind Spectre."

Thanks SAF!
Bond's past rears it's ugly head again!
But I LOVE the phrase "terrible truth". Is Bond going to face more betrayal and deception he thought long gone?

SOOOOOOOOOOO excited!
I didn't think I would feel that way, but I actually had shivers when the title was being slowly revealed on the screen! Gosh, what fascinating times!

It does continue the Bond begins vibe of the era. Count me very excited.

If the "cryptic message from Bond's past" has to do with Vesper / Quantum, then I will be happy, as I'd hate for them to leave the Quantum storyline unresolved. Otherwise, I'm not a fan of the incessant need to make each Bond movie "this time it's personal."
Hopefully the line that "M battles political forces..." means that Fiennes won't be globe-trotting with Bond the way Dench did. That would be a very welcome development.
Where was Michael G. Wilson?

And what is the "cryptic message"?
Will Oberhauser/Blofeld try to get Bond on his side - and he will go along in order to infiltrate SPECTRE?

I'd bet that is the case.

Couldn't be happier. Loved the few gasps I heard when Monica was introduced. The Aston looks even more wicked than the concept designs from a few years ago.
Everyone looks great and seemingly just, well, relaxed. I think they all know they've got some real gold with this one. As is my understanding, Saturday will be the first full cast table read together, but clearly they've all read it and it's damn good.
I'm excited for the inevitable pics that will turn up of the first slate in front of the cameras.
Also, the logo design is inspired.
So, first still or two before Christmas and teaser trailer by March? Works for me.
Next to the premiere and opening night, this is one of those moments that I love about a Bond film...and being a Bond fan.

Same here, on those 2 issues.
