The eight Doctor is the reason I discovered Big Finish he is the one Doctor I wouldn't mind seeing more of. I wish RTD would do a mini-series on this Doctor. In his new outfit he looks closer to the Ninth Doctor, You know the U-boat captain.

Oh man, that would be pretty rad.

Nice. Davies is certainly aware of McGann and Davies is not finished with DOCTOR WHO just yet.

A RTD series with the 8th Doctor. Now that would be fantastic. I would actually love to see it, and we could finally get a regeneration sequence. Ecclestone's a bastard though, so he might not want to return, be it for one scene.

Yawn !

Don't mean to be negative ... even thought I am ... but, c'mon !!
Especially when they've been tight lipped about it for so long. That could been announced back in July.

Even the joked about "Father Who" is a better title, least it's camp ... as christmas lol :D

I'm not sure. Time getting mixed up or something. I'm not complaining, though.

Average episode tonight. Very Christmassy. Brilliant music.

Oh, and there's a coming soon trailer for series 6.

A bearded Doctor.
The Doctor wearing a Cowboy hat. - "I wear a Stetson, now. Stetsons are cool." *Hat gets shot off*
A FRIGGIN OOD!
Natzi's
Some guy asking where the Doctor is, with a sword.
River Song
Amy screaming, with weird markings all over her.
The Doctor: "You see these eyes? They're old eyes, and they can tell you, monsters... are real."

I thought it was good. Watched it with my two nephews. Ones 5 the others 9. Both are Dr Who fans and they think Matt is awesome. We were all gob-smacked by this episode. And the music was true to the best of them. Murray Gold rocks as usual. Liked the trailer and looking forward to more adventures of the great Dr Who.

Anyone else manage to catch Time and Space last night?

Quite a nice little treat. Two Ponds. My night couldn't get any better.

Rumour has it, that we'll get a trailer later on today. As well as a 'Coming Soon' one next Saturday. Fingers crossed!

I just found out about this a few minutes ago. This is terribly, terribly sad news. I hadn't known she was fighting cancer. A great loss.

Devastating news. It's been a tough year--first the Brigadier and now Sarah. She was my favorite companion.

Tom Baker's tribute here:

http://www.tom-baker....asp?PageID=159

There was a very touching moment at Panopticon '93 where Tom was on stage and Lis made a surprise appearance at the end. They hadn't seen each other for years and he was so pleased to see her again. He must be pretty cut up about it today.

As already said, devastating news a real loss, 63 is no age these days and she had so much more to bring.

Deepest sympathy and condolences to her family and friends.

RIP Ms Sladen you will be dearly missed by one and all.

I was very sad to hear of this last night and I'm sure this will taint what should be an exciting time for us with the new series approaching. My thoughts go out to the children who are learning about death through the passing of one of their CBBC idols.

I wanted to do something for Liz, so I made a short tribute. It's not much, but I wanted to do my part, since everyone else was. Still can't believe she's gone.

It was alright. Stuart Milligan was bugger all like Richard Nixon, though.
