They never did that with Eccleston, or any other Doctor, either (although Davison did hallucinate a ring of floating companions urging him to live before he regenerated).I think it’s tragic in tone. It’s a meltdown, like a machine fading away before a last hurrah. He’s going straight back to the beginning of his life, reflected by the quote structure. Coming full circle before he ends. It would tie up his arc quite nicely.

Davison also went through past lives when he first regenerated. And who cares if they've never done it before? Not every Doctor's regeneration has been the same. In fact no two regenerations have been the same. Some have been similar, but never the same. If every time the Doctor regenerated he just sort of fell over and was flooded with white light, it would start to get boring. Variety is the spice of life. Personally I like the idea. I think what Mharkin put there is too long. Even if done right, that much would just seem a bit overdone to me, but winding back from the most recent events to his first lines after he regenerated, if played right, would be brilliant.

I'm sorry I pissed you off, Mharkin; it's just that, out of all the footage of Tennant as the Doctor that exists, the only ones I've seen of him have been of the Doctor acting like a complete and total twät (no offense).
Well, you haven't seen much Doctor Who then.
The only time I've seen The Tenth Doctor acting like a 'twät' is in The Waters Of Mars.
He was a bit of a douche in The Fires Of Pompeii, though I completely agree with his actions. The events in that episode were fixed points in time, so he couldn't do anything. He had to make Donna understand that. Sometimes you have to be cruel to be kind.
Honestly, Mr Blofeld, any chance you can give us any examples of The 10th Doctor acting like a 'twät'?
Actually, what you've described sounds quite hilarious. There's a theory going around that...

If you say so. You obviously don't get the whole idea of it all.

Digital Spy are claiming provisional schedules for Christmas will see The End Of Time, Part One air on 7.30pm on BBC1 on Christmas Day, sandwiched between episodes of EastEnders.
The End Of Time, Part Two, will air on New Years Day, again at 7.30 on BBC1, but they claim its only an hour-long episode, didn't the Doctor Who team say its 75 minutes long? It is sandwiched between EastEnders and the last ever episode of Gavin & Stacey.
That is all. For now.
And now, three hours later, I bring you an interview with Bernard Cribbins. At some point he starts talking about Doctor Who. I only just hit play a few moments ago myself.

I'm absolutely convinced now that it isn't the Master, and Julie Gardner said in the Waters Of Mars podcast that when the four knocks happen it's the "saddest thing in the world"...
So I was thinking that...

John Simm - 'The Master is desperate'
John Simm has said that The Master is desperate after his death and apparent resurrection in the upcoming Doctor Who two-parter 'The End Of Time'.
The actor told Radio Times that the character he first played in series three's 'Utopia' had been transformed into an "emo Master" for the new episodes.
Simm said: "This is a Master who's lived and died and now lives again - although he's seen healthier days. He's desperate, and desperate means dangerous."
Outgoing showrunner Russell T. Davies added: "It's personal for The Doctor. The Master is his enemy, his opposite, and yet so tantalisingly close to being his soul mate.
"There's something epic about their sheer existence - the last two survivors of an ancient race. It's a clash of the titans. Both of them, heading for death, and yet both determined to survive - at any cost!"
The final episodes of Davies's tenure as the programme's head will also see the farewell of David Tennant's Tenth Doctor, who will be regenerated into Matt Smith's eleventh incarnation of the Time Lord.

Ah, but you have to remember. The Journal has since been published. Who knows how big it will be now.
True, did forget about that.
And in unrelated news, it amuses me that the featured article on the Doctor Who wiki is Regeneration.

'Doctor Who' filming in Croatia
Doctor Who is filming an episode in Croatia, the BBC has confirmed.
The cast and crew of the cult show are currently shooting in the small coastal town of Trogir for an episode of the upcoming fifth series, which sees Matt Smith take over from David Tennant as the titular character.
Amateur photographs of filming depict a scene that sees the TARDIS arrive among market stalls, while speculation suggests that the story is set several centuries ago and involves vampires.
Reports also suggest that a character named Rory - believed to be the boyfriend of new companion Amy Pond (Karen Gillan) - is involved in the episode.

And if anyone's wondering, copypasta-ing the translation of what the blog says:
BBC to film cult series in Trogir.
Today marks the beginning of the filming of the cult BBC series Doctor Who which transformed the streets of Trogir into a scene from a time long gone. Few of us have heard of this show but it's very popular in the UK where it boasts a cult following. With the post on Ciovka's blog, trogirportal's hits rose to well over two thousand which goes to show the extreme popularity of the programme in the UK and the devotion of its fans who go to great lenghts to be up to date with the current series. The programme has entered the Guiness Book of World Records as the longest running science fiction show. It has gained recognition for its wildly imaginative story, low-budget special effects and as a pioneer of electronic music (originally produced by BBC's Radiophonic workshop).
Till now, as many as ten actors have played the main character, due to all the years the show's been on air. Dr. Who (sic) is a time traveller who encounters various enemies in his travels in his spaceship, the TARDIS, and is a fierce champion for justice.
The streets of Trogir, ordinarily peacefully asleep this time of the year, have been awakend and are sparkling with life as the actors stroll down the set. Many of our fellow citizens are working as extras on this cult show. We met with them today down at the boardwalk, some of them we hardly recognised intheir costumes. Who knows, maybe one day we'll see them on our TV's one day if the show gets broadcast here. (tn - actually, series 1, 2 and 3 have been broadcast last year.)
Come spring, Trogir will again be 'besieged' by actors, even Nicholas Cage going by the rumours.
Rob Cohen's mediaeval themed spectacle 'Medieval', produced by 20th Century Fox and MID Atlantic Productions, will involve up to 600 cast crew members filming in the streets of Trogir, Split and Dubrovnik.
Nothing we don't really know, though.
