This isn't necessarily a bad thing. Arkham City could get stale at times, as the gameplay tended to get repetitive, especially since it was almost identically the same game as Arkham Asylum just carried over onto a different map. A new developer is really a good thing, as far as I'm concerned, as I'm sure that Rocksteady would have just run the franchise into the ground by doing basically the same thing over and over again without much attempt to really change things up.

I'm just going to get started (finally!) on Arkham City. I really enjoyed Asylum after not knowing too much about it so expect a similar enjoyment with this one, with new locations and hopefully my fave villain Two-Face.
I think you could be right tdalton, if they spend a good deal of creativity with keeping this title different yet the same to keep it fresh.

I've yet to even finish Arkham City, I love it, but it becomes boring and repetitive very quickly. I love the idea of a prequel and a young Batman and of course Black Mask as the villain, but tdalton does have a point. I'll buy it, but It needs to be outside of the box.

Let's hope a 'Batman Begins' sort for the series!

Eh, I'm not that interested in Arkham Origins. Arkham City does get boring and repetitive. Asylum is better. I'm not overly excited about Rocksteady not working on it. To me, the Batman Arkham games without Rocksteady are like Halo without Bungie or Crash Bandicoot without Naughty Dog.

This, all of this.
City would be better if it wasn't exactly the same in terms of gameplay like Asylum is.

So nintendo's big plan is to get people excited about the same tired franchises that we've been playing for almost 30 years? It's to move on on Nintendo.

Well I've FINALLY completed 'Assassins Creed III' and can't wait for IV in November.
Now I've got a break before I get onto my next game - 'Batman Arkham City'.
OFF TOPIC - Noticed your new additions to the sig Ace, very interesting....

I thought the same thing. They really need to revamp the entire Zelda series, it's getting stale, depsite how much I love it.

Glad you liked it tcr! Did you find the frontier/forest sections a nice addition to the gameplay? I thought it was great to get away from the cities for a while and mess about, jumping from tree to tree and stalking animals.
Assassins Creed IV looks insane, pirates!

I did enjoy roaming across the frontier, as you say it's a nice break from the cities and great to explore. Some of the scales of the landscapes was amazing, really detailed and beautiful to see. Pain in the backside when it snows, it takes ages to get anywhere, but apart from that...!
And funny how easy it becomes to run across the trees! I thought that would be a pain, but it's actually really useful!
As for IV: Black Flag? Well, assassins and pirates does not a bad combination make!

Good! It's a really fun game.
Right now I am playing through Far Cry 3 and I am liking it a lot. I originally didn't like the game because I thought it was hard to get used to, but now that I have been playing it for a while I am actually enjoying it.

I thought the opposite. I found the frontier to be tedious and not very interesting. I felt that AC3 was a big missed opportunity and that the serious is beginning to suffer from fatigue. I'm not yet sold on AC4.
Also unrelated, the next Xbox reveal has been scheduled for May 21. Soon we will know our 2 eighth generation consoles.

Far Cry 3 is immense! I LOVE the tropical island setting, the hunting of animals, the paragliding, the driving. Brilliant game!

Yeah it's awesome! I am a little bit of a completionist so I will definitely get around to collecting all of the relics and such. Plus I need to do some more hunting to build myself a bigger wallet, but hunting sharks is really frustrating me at the moment..

Shark hunting is the biggest pain in the ass, just get the flowers to make Hunter's instinct and it's pretty easy. I'm close almost 100%-ing the game!

I've yet to beat it, but It's easily the easiest one in the franchise. It just feels too easy and not challenging enough. Oh and patience is king. Other than that. 3.5/5 (so far)
Off-Topic: New Hitman film adaption coming next year with Paul Walker starring as Agent 47. The film will be a reboot and will simply be titled "Agent 47"

After finishing Hitman: Absolution, I will give the game a 7/10. I really want to rate it higher, but the bizarre technical errors it has causing frequent crashing prevent this. While I played the PS3 version, I did a little bit of research and found this to be a problem on both PS3 and 360. If IO Interactive eventually releases a patch to fix the crashing issues, then I might give it an 8.5, but as it stand now, I only give it a 7.

I can agree with the rating, although I haven't experienced technical errors. Check out the Hitman HD Collection though.

Yeah I am definitely going to do that so I can see the shark when it sinks to the bottom.. I hate shark hunting with a passion right now.
Also I am working on collecting relics, I definitely want to 100% the game or come close.

I do want to check out the HD collection. I missed out on Hitman until now and from what I hear the earlier games are better (and harder) than Absolution.

In other news, just recently bought Tomb Raider, looking forward to it, and preordered Call Of Duty: Ghosts.

Tomb Raider is a lot of fun. I quite enjoyed new direction Crystal Dynamics decided to take and Camilla Luddington is excellent. As for CoD, I'm not even going to touch on that as I've made my thoughts about that series very clear. Having said that, if Infinity Ward can get its act together I might check out Ghosts. As bad as MW3 is, I sort of give Infinity Ward a pass due to the turmoil it went through and, truthfully, it wasn't THE Infinity Ward. Perhaps now, a few years later and with some hardware to work with, this team can put out a quality product. However, I shan't be holding my breath.
In other Infinity Ward-esque news, more rumors begin to circulate about Respawn Entertainment's (the original Infinity Ward) new game. According to these rumors, it is supposedly a Next Xbox exclusive, always online and almost exclusively multiplayer. This again reiterates the rumor of the always-online DRM for the Next Xbox. Needless to say, I am not very excited for this one either.

I'm looking forward to COD: Ghosts because its a new game, new characters, story, graphics engine, physics, and textures. Call Of Duty is finally getting its makeover for its tenth anniversary.
