Yeah he should stick with the expendables and the fan of that movie saga will go and see that.................................... which is not me.

For the most part, I'm with you on disliking THE EXPENDABLES. The first was just dreadful. Haven't seen the second, but it would have to be better than the first. If the second had expanded the cast the way the third has, I would have had some interest. Its really just the additions of Schwarzenegger (in a presumably expanded role), Gibson, and Ronda Rouse as well as potential additions of Wesley Snipes, Steven Seagal, and Milla Jovovich that have me interested this time around.

Schwarzenegger and Gibson alone are enough to get my money (especially as Gibson's ventures into the action genre are few and far between these days), and the rest are also welcome additions.

The first film wasn't good because It focused too much on Statham and Stallone's characters respectively. Not to mention the idea of going back to save the girl, which Is hard to believe, considering their mercenaries, and I doubt they would bother going back for just one person. They're killers, not heroes. Second one was just a massive improvement, with a straight-forward mission, loud and fun action scenes, great humor and everyone got their deserved amount of screen time. I saw it with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised by how well it was.

The third film I'm going to pass on, just simply because of Ronda Rousey, unless she has a role with limited screen time, I'm not interested. She's a hack who can't fight for S***, and probably begged her way into the film. The fact she was chosen over someone like Gina Carano disgusts me (even though she will be in the female version of the film.). What's Ronda going to do? Armbar everyone in the film?

I'm sure it'll be totally awesome, or appear that way, but with Rousey in it, I've lost all interest, and believe it or not, It could potentially hurt the film in some way. How? For starters, besides the average, stupid mixed martial arts fan who watch it and expect nothing but knock outs will be gaga because Rousey is in it, while everyone else, including myself and lots of other people in the general MMA community do not like her at all, simply because Dana White just shoves her down everyone's throat and insists on putting her in the spotlight all of the time, when she really hasn't done much for the sport of MMA and for Women's MMA as a whole, and because she's just a one-trick pony.

Good job Sylvester Stallone!

Stallone needs to let Rocky go. ROCKY BALBOA ended the series in a far better way than anyone could have expected. For a series that went on for 6 films, it really couldn't have ended better.

Exactly.

I've heard a lot about this 'Gravity' also, looks interesting.

And also for 'Dredd', I've not seen it yet but it's meant to be brilliant.

Dredd is a callback to the violent, Sci-Fi action films of the 80's and 90's. It's a straightforward story with brutal violence and tons of action. I was expecting it to be just okay, but it was just too damn good, and ended up on my Top Ten List for 2012.

I've added it to my 'watch list'. ;) I don't recall enjoying the first one with Stallone that much so I'll be passing on that. LOL

Stallone's film strayed heavily away from the comics. The new film shares nothing in common with that film, it's a reboot done damn well.

Karl Urban's delivery of the line was much more moody and not laughable. Speaking of Judge Dredd, I might Watch Dredd right now since it's my birthday!

-I feel like an a**hole, just came across an older thread that is now pinned for the same topic as this. Sorry MODS. Feel free to merge if you please.

-As a fan of the BEVERLY HILLS COPS films I'm excited by this news. Eddie Murphy seems to have nothing going for him at the moment so perhaps this could get his career back on track. Maybe this will help him qualify for THE EXPENDABLES.

Just came across this article;

The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo Sequel Gets A Writer

Andrew Kevin Walker will be playing with Fire

18 July 2013  |  Written by Phil de Semlyen  |  Source: Indiewire

As the prospects of Hollywood completing the Millennium trilogy seemed to be receding, news comes that part two, The Girl Who Played With Fire, has a screenwriter and seems to be a viable concern over at Sony. The studio has hired Seven scribe Andrew Kevin Walker to pen another draft of a script originally written by Steve Zaillian and will be looking to reunite Daniel Craig and Rooney Mara in the near future.

The question, as The Playlist points out, is exactly when and with what director pulling the shots? David Fincher is now tied up with Gone Girl - recent scuttlebutt has Ben Affleck signing up for that one - while Craig has another Bond outing looming on his schedule. Next year seems the likeliest option to shot before Bond 24 kicks off and Craig is busy saving the world from a different kind of evil.

It transpires that Fincher's long-gestating and very pricey 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea is officially, well, 20,000 leagues under the sea. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fincher has ditched the project after trying and failing to secure his pick of leading man. Walker, his screenwriter on that so-far foiled project, is now charged with movie-fying the second in Stieg Larsson's trilogy of thrillers instead.

Interesting news about Beverley Hills Cop - I have to say I enjoy all 3 original films in their own style, so would happily go see a 4th. I think Murphy still has got it, he just needs the right script.

I think it'll be interesting to see if Beverly Hills Cop IV borrows any ideas from the failed CBS TV pilot or if it will be something completely different that just happened to have the chance at entering development because of the renewed interest in the series as a result of the CBS pilot.

In other news (and somewhat Bond related), Martin Campbell is close to a deal to direct Alpha, the story of a Navy SEAL who goes to South Africa to train combat dogs and ends up on a mission to save his handler after the handler is abducted.

I really want to read Gone Girl before the movie comes out because I heard the book is really good and finally we have a writer for the Girl who Played with Fire, however, I think the Girl with the Dragon tattoo was the best book out of the trilogy

Agreed on Portman.  She is the only saving grace to this otherwise terrible poster.  Why is it so hard for the studios to come up with a decent poster for these superhero films?

I don't know what you're talking about. It's a much better looking poster than the last few Marvel-produced films and much better than the posters for The Dark Knight Rises.

Looks like something 'The Lord Of The Rings' should have been, with those elf-like ears, god-like characters, axe wileding bearded men and hordes of shadowy villains!

I was very surprised with the first 'Thor' so have to say I'll be happy to give this a go. Him and Cap'n USA are my two fave Avengers.

I could personally give two S**** about Marvel's Avenger films, though the only thing(s) that are keeping me from passing on Thor: The Dark World are Natalie Portman, Christopher Eccleston (Puzzled as to how he isn't credited on the poster as he is the villain and a lead), and the fact the trailer I saw before The Wolverine had me completely surprised.

Have to see THE WOLVERINE.  I was lukewarm at first, then got more interested by the following trailers.  Love Beltrami´s score already.
