Nice, thanks Shark. Nice to see them using the Aston like that in the TV spots. Guess they can afford to now.

I was just thinking that after watching it, down the ramp and into the cover. Smart!

Interesting transition at the end, but I just NOW realized that the image on the cover (and previously in larger-than-life form in many theatre lobbies) is Bond shooting Silva's lackeys on the island... unless I'm still incredibly confused.

I think that's the best sequence to tie that shot in to, yes. Apart from the suit and gun being different, it seems to be that sequence indeed.
The closest shot I could find that is near enough the artwork is this image...

There are bus shelter posters in evidence using two or three characters from the character banners in one poster.
Does the job.

Picked up my copy at lunch. Don't know if I am more excited to watch it or put it in the back of my 50th Anniversary box set.

The steelbook is going in and out of stock at Amazon UK, so I'd get it now while you can.
There are already people selling it for £45 on Ebay, unfortunately.

Scammers. Let the real, passionate fans have a chance to buy it for a decent price, not a inflated collectable item.

I'm just about to leave work, hop in my car and head to Target to pick up my copy of "Skyfall"..

Got the combo set, so the BluRay goes in the Bond 50 album, and the DVD stays on the shelf with my other DVDs.
...and where I live, Skyfall hasn't even hit the cheap seats theatre yet.

Got mine in, though I'll be waiting for it to get a bit more dark outside before I slip it into the Blu Ray player. In the mean time, I've successfully downloaded it to my iPhone which is very neat, so I'll have it on me at all times. Looking forward to exploring the special features tonight, as well. Is it time for production to start on Bond 24 yet?

I picked mine up at Best Buy a couple of hours ago. They have a ton of both the DVD and Blu Ray and beyond having it where they normally have their new releases (taking up a huge amount of that rack) they also have a special cardboard stand up rack that holds dozens more.
And I like that it's the original cover art - where Bond isn't cut off at the bottom. I thought that looked great on the movie poster, but for the DVD/Blu Ray I like the non-cropped version where Bond's got a little more space.
Now all I need is a DVD of QOS and my collection is complete (I never bothered to get the DVD at the time as I wasn't as thrilled with the movie as I expected to be, I just made do with the Blu Ray). I've got both DVD and Blu Ray for all the Bond titles except QOS at this point.
My daughter wants to watch Skyfall today, but I'm thinking that Saturday may be better...

I would just say a friendly word of advice to anyone who bought their copy at Best Buy and has any interest in keeping the slip cover looking decent, be very careful with the price sticker and the digital copy sticker if you decide to remove them from the slip cover. I tried carefully removing them, but they're on there so good that they'll leave a lot of the sticker behind that's nearly impossible to try to get off, and I ended up damaging the slip cover a bit, which was rather disappointing. Even with some rather lackluster artwork (IMO, anyway), the slip cover was still pretty nice.

I like your logic AMC...that's just what I'm doing!
And glad all our US 00-agents have landed their hands on the film! Enjoy, once more!

I've yet to buy the film. Bought other things I needed first. Will pick it up within the next week or two. Not in that much of a rush to go out of my way and buy it.
