"The person introducing the trailer did inform us that the trailer will be available online and will be showing exclusively with IMAX screenings"

I'm seeing The Dark Knight Rises next week in IMAX. I wonder if the trailer will be attached to it?

Nothing out of the ordinary has been reported so I doubt it's the apparent 4 minute extended one (If that exists), so I'm guessing around 2 minutes, maybe less. It sounds to me like 'Teaser Trailer #2'

I'm thinking of no more than 2 minutes and 15 seconds.

Because he is mentioned in all the teaser trailer#2 reviews?

*rubs hands and does the Charles Montgomery Burns voice* EXXCELLENT!! Hoping that this new trailer will show up sooner, rather than later online..after all, the first teaser appeared online WAY before it debuted in the theaters with Men In Black III.

I would like to believe and also speculate that the trailer will appear in front of IMAX screenings for The Dark Knight Rises. They even said that the trailer would be appearing in front if IMAX screenings and would appear online very shortly.

There's confusion about that across the reports I've read, some say they were told it won't be online.

Had a feeling we'd be getting some news on a new trailer following the release of the Whishaw still. Glad to see my suspicions were confirmed. This is great news indeed. I really hope this thing gets put in front of the TDKR. All the more reason to see it.

Oh yeah, this new trailer will DEFINITELY make it's way online.. I say we all should keep an eye on the 007.com site for the next few days.. Nice to hear we'll be treated to 3 minutes worth of new footage!! Now if we could only get some confirmation about Adele and whether she is/she isn't going to be doing the title song..

Excellent.''WOW''. Really can't wait for that trailer, which probably will be released online in perhaps this weekend. who knows? well, if not saturday or sunday, then Im nearly 100% certain that it'll be so on this monday morning/afternoon...thats only 3 days from today, that sounds at least for me very appropriate indeed to release this skyfall trailer on a monday which of course could be terrific for all us bond-fans. because they mentioned that it probably will be online at the very early in the next week...please notice 'EARLY' that is absolutely not in for instants a wednesday or a thursday, it just can only be on a monday, or at least latest (max.) on a tuesday. that would simply be ideal for the trailer to come out online, anything later would be too stupid.
GOD, i just truly hopes my intuition actually is true, of course it would just be more than wonderful if it did so before monday, in this weekend i mean, but its maybe too much to hoping for...we'll see when it happens anyway. only thing is just that, we all together knows that the big 'countdown' to this 3 min. long theatrical trailer for skyfall is certainly not far away by now, no doubt about that!!!

They do need to send out a trailer that leaves tongues wagging, before The Bourne Legacy gets all the attention and the Bond-Bourne comparisons start again.

Actually, I can start it, the new Bourne trailer features some good motorbike action...uh-huh, a motorbike....

From what comes from http://www.bbfc.co.uk/ETxxx289704/ it is a classic 3 minutes trailer

Keep in mind that the teaser trailer ("Trailer A") was rated on May 10th, but released 11 days later on the 21st.

If we're going by the same schedule, this 3 minute trailer will by online by the 23rd. Give or take a couple of days.

Good point. What about an announcement next Thursday that it will be in IMAX cinemas exclusively over the opening weekend with TDKR and online from Monday the 23rd?

Don't trailers normally pop up a month or so before the film's release?

If so, September is more likely, I'm thinking.

I'd be surprised if the IMAX exclusive trailer was released online. They didn't release TDKR prologue to the web, after all, so I'd be willing to be Sony will be following suit. We're going to have to pay to see it, if I had to guess, but I'd love to be proven wrong.

Agreed. I would be very surprised as well. Warner did a good job of making sure that the TDKR prologue never made it on the web in any shape or form, and given the tight-lid that Sony and EON have had over the production of this film, I wouldn't be shocked either if they followed suit and only let a portion of the moviegoing public see the trailer.

They didn’t get this thing passed by the BBFC on the 10th of July just to sit it on the shelf until September.

There will be another by then.

That's the point.
If they don't want the public to see it, there would be no use in getting a rating from the BBFC for it.

Indeed. Things have changed a lot since 2008. Remember how many trailers PROMETHEUS got?

These days it's less a question of teaser trailer > theatrical trailer > TV spots, and more trailer A > trailer B > trailer C > trailer D etc. (repeat until fade) > TV spots.
