If I was the leader under 007 Legends project, it would be completely different.

Gameplay: First of all, it would be 100% like GoldenEye 64 and Perfect Dark. You must follow a total of main objectives (which are not just "go to X" and "use your smarthpone to call Tanner"), and additional ones in harder difficulties. No regenerating health, just armors/shields.

I skip the movies part because it's mostly based on personal tastes. I certainly wouldn't pick up Moonraker.

Cutscenes/Bond actor: Cutscenes wouldn't be in first-person view, like in GoldenEye, so you can see Bond's face. You can choose as which Bond actor play as well, like Minecraft and The Force Unleashed's skins. You can change them in any moment.

Soundtrack: For this job I would get Grant Kirkhope, as he's the best videogames' composer, or David Arnold or Thomas Newman.

As for gameplay I cannot agree with you. Nor with the skins part. They should hire all of Bond actors to play the part and I'm sure Daniel's payment wasn't small.
And actually I'm glad with the composer. I really can't wait to play this.

My idea of skins was indeed to have all of the actors. Sean, George, Roger, Timmy, Pierce and Daniel.

About music... have you heard the music in GoldenEye? It's terrible. It's made of three repeating unlisteneable melodies, and the only Bond theme rendition is at the end of the Frigate mission, and it's so bad that even Another Way to Die is better.

I get the idea with actors - what I meant is I think it's too expensive for them.
And I really dig the ost in GoldenEye. For me it's better than the one from Blood Stone (since Jacques didn't use the Bond Theme). It is nicely digitized and a little dark (since the plot concerns betrayal, etc.).

Grant Kirkhope and Graeme Norgate's audio/OST work on GoldenEye64 is second to none.

All of their level-tracks have a special place on my iPod. (All of which I played over the ones used in GoldenEye: Reloaded and enjoyed very much.)

Couldn't agree more. Goldeneye 64 was, and remains, the best video game score of all time. It's the ultimate combination of nostalgia, progressiveness, and franchise branding. Some of the most original, iconic, and timeless uses of the Bond theme (and variations) are in that score. It's remarkable. It's literally better than most of the non-Barry film scores, in my opinion.

Are you talking the music for Goldeneye 64 or Goldeneye Reloaded? Because the Bond theme is used quite a bit in the N64 game even the pause / watch screen.

Bit confused about Daniel Craig being in the credits if he's not. I know his head is, but all the same...

How about Banjo-Kazooie and Perfect Dark? Oh well, still Kirkhope. Diddy Kong Racing had a great soundtrack as well.

I think every single track of GoldenEye 64 has at least a bit of Bond theme. No, I was talking about Reloaded. Apart from Frigate and the credits, Bond theme is never heard.

The references to the theme are much more subtle - for example:

They vaguely remind me of Bond theme, but it should have been more evident. Even the movie had a better score (actually, I liked it a lot).

Good interview with Michael Lonsdale, with a lot of new footage from the Moonraker missions. Looks like Bond will see visions of his enemies in the water before/after each mission.

Nice little video.

I wonder how the pre-title sequence will play out, obviously linking 'Skyfall' - if it will just be a quick scrabble on the train in Turkey, and Bond getting shot almost instantly to get him in the water (as they need to explain how he got there!)

And I wonder what the 'Skyfall' mission will be - either a more lengthy pre-title sequence or perhaps the finale battle at the lodge?

Exciting actually, now it's nearly here...!

Well, that was something. I'm very glad the opportunity arose to get such talents as Lonsdale and others for this. Really makes it that much more special.

Don't worry Shaun, I was only piecing together what, I gather, will be that sequence from the TV Spots and Trailers of Bond ending up in water after falling from the train, as this must be the lead into the watery-style credits for Legends.

Rather exciting we get to see it all together.

It really seems like my desire to play through these classic Bond films is starting to outweigh my desire to play a quality James Bond game.

Basically, Activision's marketing has beaten me. I'm probably going to buy this game.

In this interview he mentions multiplayer and that the details haven't been announced yet. I guess they never will be! That's probably going to be the most disappointing part of the game. He talks about Legends mode again, but that sounds just like Classic Conflict from GoldenEye.

It has the old cover art. The placeholder boxes in GAME have the new one, perhaps its different depending on region.

Nice. Bond looks very good in the cutscene, compared to Reloaded. Also interesting that it's is in a different order, perhaps it is chronologically. Only niggle is it would've been nice to have a different sound effect for the menus.

He's got quite a few videos. Hard to resist. :D

Only skipping through them, but at the end of part 6, it sounds like they've reused the menu music from Blood Stone!

Beginning stuff looked pretty cool though!

Looks very good fun!

Craig's voice does sound very accurate, I'm pleased. Also love the little touch where Eve shoots Bond in that opening sequence, Patrice helps him fall with that little push...the slimy bugger.

I never care about graphics in a game. Heck, I found Perfect Dark Zero, The Secret of Monkey Island and GoldenEye 64 graphics lovely.

But this game... has the worst graphics ever. When did they make it? In 1995?

A lot of people like to post those types of videos, but it's mainly with like special editions for games, books, or big fancy box set collections (a la Bond 500 Blu-Ray ;) )
