You can see the start screen in the background, looks good. Starting to see some glimmers of hope for this game!

ANYWAY...that preview looks ok, some good concepts and ideas that I hope pan out well on screen for the game. Can't deny it will be great playing alongside and against classic Bond allies and villains...!

Songs off the top of my head worse than Moonraker are ones like Licence To Kill, For Your Eyes Only and Diamonds Are Forever to name a couple.

I agree that LTK is bad, but FYEO and DAF? What? How? I'm so confused.

Well, alright not bad, none of them I would say are bad - I just find FYEO and DAF slow and not really getting anywhere. I just like the arrangement of Moonraker and how it sounds.
But this really just shows why we are good Bond fans - our varied taste and opinion, it'd be boring if we all thought the same!

Yes on both parts!
Opinion is never bad, just was shocked about Moonraker. As for the one theme I never liked, 'All Time High'. Never could get into that one.

As for the video that was posted featuring some gameplay, I've got to say that this game continues to look rather uninspired. Is there a reason that pretty much every Bond game of late has to look as though it were made five years ago?

Well said, sir.

Can't agree that "Moonraker" is a bad theme. It's certainly not the worst, anyway. That honor could be bestowed on any of the Bond themes post-GE that weren't performed by Chris Cornell. Also can't agree on the theme to "Licence to Kill" either. I really like that one.

I like some post-GE songs (Surrender and TWINE), as well as LTK (though lyrics are awful).
FYEO is not one of my favourite ones... but I love the instrumental version in the movie.

Ex.) Dr. No, Wai Lin, Emilio Largo, Renard, Zorin, Trevelyan, Red Grant, Felix... etc.
I surly believe that this will be the case, at least I'd hope so.

Still, I find it incredibly odd they're celebrating fifty years of Bond by having us play through old films as Daniel Craig.

It would be awesome to play through the missions as the actor playing Bond, respectively for that film. Well, that's Activision and Eurocom for you.

I think everyone's severely underestimating what the likeness rights for that may have cost. Not to mention the narrative weirdness of it.
True. but It's the 50 anniversary, they could've at least tried.
Wishful thinking I suppose on my part. I'll still play it of course. Hopefully it's the last Bond/COD game, then again that's asking too much.

I'm with Rich and the rest of the crowd who felt Bloodstone was underrated, and perhaps even a tad under-realized. If the script were cleaned up to something that weren't a total mess and Jacques' music been a little less generic at points, it would be have been much more well received. Certainly had potential. I wouldn't be opposed, at all, to a mixed 3rd person shooting/driving adventure for the next 007 game.
Although, if they wanted to truly sequel-ize GoldenEye, they'd realize that game was so successful because it set engine and game branding precedents, rather than aping other franchises and turning in a largely unoriginal, paint-by-numbers project.
You can't sell a Bond game based on "play as 007, and choose between stealth and guns blazing!" any longer. And they do it every. damn. time. They need to revolutionize a genre with a really cool gaming experience, the way Halo or COD did, and then piggyback the Bond brand very carefully onto it. Problem is, in the hands of Activision, there seems to be no interest in doing that.

Gameplay: First of all, it would be 100% like GoldenEye 64 and Perfect Dark. You must follow a total of main objectives (which are not just "go to X" and "use your smarthpone to call Tanner"), and additional ones in harder difficulties. No regenerating health, just armors/shields.
I skip the movies part because it's mostly based on personal tastes. I certainly wouldn't pick up Moonraker.
Cutscenes/Bond actor: Cutscenes wouldn't be in first-person view, like in GoldenEye, so you can see Bond's face. You can choose as which Bond actor play as well, like Minecraft and The Force Unleashed's skins. You can change them in any moment.
Soundtrack: For this job I would get Grant Kirkhope, as he's the best videogames' composer, or David Arnold or Thomas Newman.

If I was the leader under 007 Legends project, it would be completely different.

As for gameplay I cannot agree with you. Nor with the skins part. They should hire all of Bond actors to play the part and I'm sure Daniel's payment wasn't small.
And actually I'm glad with the composer. I really can't wait to play this.

I'm getting this, mostly because it's James Bond and I really enjoyed Quantum of Solace (game).

Yeah I agree with all of this. I am buying it because it is a James Bond game and I guess it is a little weird why we are playing as Daniel Craig, but I think that is just to help promote skyfall since there will be a mission that is from the movie skyfall.

My idea of skins was indeed to have all of the actors. Sean, George, Roger, Timmy, Pierce and Daniel.
About music... have you heard the music in GoldenEye? It's terrible. It's made of three repeating unlisteneable melodies, and the only Bond theme rendition is at the end of the Frigate mission, and it's so bad that even Another Way to Die is better.
