Sounds splendid.

Agent Provocateur is almost certainly a reference to the lingerie company. Nice little gag.

I'm guessing it may be a direct plot reference. After all, we know Bardem's character disguises himself in a position where he may act as an agent provocateur. Given that we don't know where the interrogation scene occurs (or do we?), Bond may be reflecting on the actual actions of said agent.

No, Andrew Bond was. At least according to those files. Bond was born in Glencoe, Scotland. His father was born in west Berlin, and his mother was born in Switzerland.

Would there even have been a "West" Berlin when his father was born?

Quite right. Bloody files. Still, I was on an empty stomach...

It’s not to do with nationalistic pride (Or some demented BNP version of it); It is just a matter of what happens to be the truth. I'm Welsh, not English. Sean Connery is Scottish, not English. People who think Scottish people are English are wrong. People who think Wales is somewhere in England are also wrong. It is as simple as that.

Saying, “People are ignorant, so we may as well act ignorant too, it doesn’t matter,” is a bit sad, no?

I should think there's a specific reason for it, anyway. Otherwise, they could have just said:

"Nationality?"

"British."

True. Although, to be fair, Bond could be telling them what they want to hear. Or maybe Bond has deep and troubled feelings about his heritage.

It does sound like word association, so if Bond is asked to say the first word that comes into his head, if he's in England then that's probably the first word that came to him - It isn't necessarily to do with nationality

Yep, that's what I've been trying to get across - It could easily have been written like that.

Ah, well that makes three of us!

I wouldn't put to much stock in the trailer music though, it will probably be lame, as I don't think the Bond team have any real influence in it other than the basics.

Sort of depends what Bond considers himself to be, though.

For a film that goes to such lengths to show us that Bond was born in Scotland to a Scottish father, with a long Scottish heritage, this seems to smack of an American writer just getting it wrong, very wrong.

It got past Mendes and Craig.

Man, if this over analyzing is the result of just a couple of words from the teaser trailer, I hate to think what might happen when the film comes out! LOL :P

Yep. I remember seeing an interview with Timothy Dalton where he said he identified as English.

Exactly. Who gives a toss?

Im hoping for a leak at some point, i need to see some FOOTAGE! Though i'm not gonna hold my breath. We'll see nothing till it's attached to MIB III i'm guessing. That "Agent...provocateur" line has me sold. Bond is back!

I hope that's indicative of the kind of humor that SKYFALL will be offering.

Indeed, and let's hope it makes the final cut too. Because not everything you see in the trailer does, annoyingly.

I was extremely lucky to have the chance to see the SkyFall teaser trailer yesterday at CinemaCon. It is amazing! As I work in the industry I can't really say much, but that it is a truly teaser trailer and none of the plot is really given. You can go over to http://www.darkhoriz...uts-bond-24-set and read all about. I have a very good feeling about the movie.

Thanks, Ry. I've been hoping to get a sneak peek at it doing QC work, but so far nothing. If you like it, I'm sure I'll like it. :)

I'm wondering how the SKYFALL appears in the Teaser Trailer. If it has somekind of animation like they did with CR and QOS.

could Sir James Moloney be the shrink? that testing Bond?

No character of that name on the leaked cast list, but there could be a fake/codename being used again. There's a Dr Hall though.

I've been hoping it was NAME WITH-HELD. I would love to see him make an appearance, and this could be the right context for it.

"It looked more like a Bourne film."
Uh oh.....here we go again with this.

While this may actually be a point of concern, if you ask me, every modern day spy film looks like a Bourne film. Not because it's mimicry. Instead it's the fact that it's modern action cinema. Dark tones and fast cuts. I personally have no problem with that.

Well, him having an English family, with an English father, no Welsh relatives at all, and being brought up in England will probably be the reason for that.

Can't wait to see this. I have no doubt it will be good but, when I read the description, the pacing of it follows the same pacing as the teasers for QOS & CR. The first half is slower paced with dialogue & the second half is all action.

Exactly. No matter what, all modern spy thrillers with a Euro flavor that boast aggressive action will be compared to Bourne, because frankly they did it first and they did it best (even if Bond is responsible for their existence). I'm guessing he simply meant that it was atmospheric, and the one true Bond fan in the group seemed genuinely enthralled, and afterall, he seems to be the one most like us. I think we're in for a treat. Also a brief mention that the music worked well, which implies it'll be something different from what we've heard in the last few trailers and TV spots. All good news.

Just as a reminder, and as a way to hold some of you over, how about trip down memory lane?

6 (bloody!) Years Ago...

And 4 years ago...

The trailer has different music, infact someone told me on twitter (who saw the trailer) that it has no bond theme in it.
