This is true actually, there's some fantastic shots in the car chase at the beginning, and particularly the rooftop chase, but the editing is ridiculous.I'm not sure Dan Bradley's camera work was really that close and shakey, so much as the editing of the sequences was ridiculously fast and hackneyed.

Exactly. No matter what, all modern spy thrillers with a Euro flavor that boast aggressive action will be compared to Bourne, because frankly they did it first and they did it best (even if Bond is responsible for their existence). I'm guessing he simply meant that it was atmospheric, and the one true Bond fan in the group seemed genuinely enthralled, and afterall, he seems to be the one most like us. I think we're in for a treat. Also a brief mention that the music worked well, which implies it'll be something different from what we've heard in the last few trailers and TV spots. All good news.
"It looked more like a Bourne film."
These guys talk at the beginning of the video about the trailer. They seem genuinely blown away. http://www.slashfilm...m+%28%2FFilm%29
Uh oh.....here we go again with this.
While this may actually be a point of concern, if you ask me, every modern day spy film looks like a Bourne film. Not because it's mimicry. Instead it's the fact that it's modern action cinema. Dark tones and fast cuts. I personally have no problem with that.
Just as a reminder, and as a way to hold some of you over, how about trip down memory lane?

Is the part @ 1:09 where someone tears a card in half, in the film? Can't remember that scene.

That scene is not in the final cut of the movie.

I didn't think so, Thanks Marketto007.

If I recall the scene with the ripped up card was going to be a signal to confirm a meeting of two bad guys during the Nassau/ Miami sequence. Each would have one half. Correct me if I'm wrong. Can't remember who exactly.
Dimitrios and Carlos, I"m guessing. Sounds cool.
I wonder if the SF trailer will also have scenes like that we might not see in the finale version of the film. Then again that happens all the time, doesn't it.

Good point. I'd forgotten that. There's also a character called "Assessor" who could theoretically be
Spoiler
if the character's role is related to Bond being passed as fit for duty.

The crowd in Caesars Palace were treated to the first look at the new James Bond film, which will be released publicly on May 25th when it is attached to the release of "Men In Black 3". It was part of Sony's 45 minute presentation of what to expect in 2012.
Various reports of what was contained within the trailer have hit blogs and forums online, and the details vary, but some of the key points are:
- The trailer opens with an evaluation of Bond in the form of a word association game. Dialogue is heard over establishing shots of London such as “Country”/“England”, “Gun”/“Shot”, “Agent”/“Provocateur”, “Murder”...“Employment”.
- The interrogation room is revealed to include M and Mallory (Ralph Fiennes) behind glass as Bond speaks. The last word is "Skyfall........ Skyfall", to which Bond replies, "Done" and walks up to the glass.
- A montage of fast cuts then follows giving glimpses at major action scenes filmed so far including the chase in London and falling from a height in to water.
- Bond is seen outside the Macao casino.
- The action wraps with a shot of the London underground train stunt.
- Over shots of coffins draped in Union Jack flags, Bond concludes the trailer by saying, “Some men are coming to kill us. We’ve got to kill them first.

I don't mind shakey cam and fast-cutting, but I don't think QoS did it as well as Bourne did. Occasionally there is a bit missing that makes it tricky to follow, unlike in the Bourne films.
That said, the technique is a bit old now.

I guess it's possible, but I hope it's for the film itself; sounds like quite a decent scene.Could it be that the word association game was filmed for the trailer?

All the more 'Skyfall' reading, the better!

I remember the 'Licence To Kill' teaser with Timothy Dalton doing lots of intense Bond-looks with his L.E.D watch...that was well cool! Let's have Daniel Craig do something like that...oh, and even Brosnan did his pre-gunbarrel for 'GoldenEye' - "You were expecting someone else?"
That always kept the tongue-in-cheek vibe of the Bond films not being TOO serious...although if EON want Craig's Bond to be THAT serious, they probably wouldn't do something like that. Shame!

Well saw trailer today (great having contacts) and was impressed, sort of what i expected though, Craig is craig and looks great as per CR and QoS. Lot darker tone which i liked and seeing the flag drapped coffins gave a nice military feel to it which is always good.
Could I have a look?

Scenes aren't made for trailers specifically are they much, nowadays?
Looking back on those CR and QOS teasers, there's the fast tracking shot on Craig sitting at the poker table and looking into camera to end the trailer, and (I think?) for QOS Craig walking over the horizon with that massive gun from CR.

The fast track with Craig's Bond breaking the 4th wall was a neat touch, but I never understood the reason why the shot for 'QOS' walking over the desert wasn't used much in the film, I thought it was very visually powerful!
Good memory my friend...makes me wonder if this teaser actually will have something like this!

Could it be that the word association game was filmed for the trailer?
Surely not. It doesn't seem at all like the sort of thing that would be filmed specifically for a trailer. it seems like a bit of punchy dialogue snipped out of a larger scene. The whole point of a decontextualized snippet is to invite speculation as to what context might surround it in the film.

Please, don't do that to us. We need your contact, we NEED the trailer.
