Well saw trailer today (great having contacts) and was impressed, sort of what i expected though, Craig is craig and looks great as per CR and QoS. Lot darker tone which i liked and seeing the flag drapped coffins gave a nice military feel to it which is always good.

That has loads of Bond theme in it. The shot note beats in the first half are Bond theme ('twangy guitar' remixed). The baseline for the fast part is the Bond baseline verbatim. And then the finale, as you pointed out.

Yep. I the first 30 seconds are the beginning of either David Arnold's "Unauthorized Access" or "CCTV" from CASINO ROYALE. From then on it's guitar power chords and strings marking out the 3 note chromatic vamp of the Bond theme, in D minor (to match the cue from CR). The drum-heavy, action part starting at around 1:00 is a Pfeifer Broz Bond theme for one of the CR trailers/TV spots. I believe it's in 7/4.

Very jealous that the trailer has been seen by some! Can't wait to see it myself. I will most likely see Men In Black 3 and will be looking forward to the Skyfall trailer!

In my view, Bond-esq chords and hints are different than the full James Bond Theme. The full theme is rather overplayed, and really it does not NEED to be shoehorned into the trailer-of-a-trailer.

The Bond theme will be there in some form. It's a trailer for a James Bond movie. I know trailers for Harry Potter and such didn't include a dramatic rendition of the main theme, but with Bond there's always been the Bond theme playing in the trailers in some form. I don't see why it would change now, especially with an event like the 50th Anniversary.

The Bond theme will definitely be in the trailer in some form. If it isn't, I would question the decisions of everyone involved to pass on using one of the most recognizable themes in the world. Daft Punk would be be a long shot. Their work on Tron: Legacy was great but their sound might be a bit to futuristic for Bond or at least Skyfall. When I think of a scene with flag draped coffins, I'm not hearing Daft Punk playing in the background. Whoever it is, I just hope it isn't a repeat of someone doing a cover of a cover.

I'm naturally suspicious, but this one doesn't seem to work for me. If this individual had been sworn to secrecy for months, it doesn't seem to be logical for them to break their agreement and reveal their involvement now.

I've pointed that out numerous times, Most people don't notice. Wasn't it mentioned in some report that there were scenes being filmed that take place in the 1970's?

Well, he definitely wasn't using a handgun like that in the 1970s.

Well, he definitely wasn't using a handgun like that in the 1970s.

Glock as been around since the 1970''s so it is possible he may be using a prototype or early development of the Glock pistol, but I believe that's highly doubtful.

Anyone else wondering if this might have to do with the cold war or am I just behind everyone else?
