From The Digital Bits website....

Fox has officially made available for pre-order (on FoxConnect) single-disc Blu-ray editions of all 11 of the classic Bond films that have been previously released in HD. Street date is 10/2 with an SRP of $19.99 each. They include Dr. No, From Russia with Love, Goldfinger, Thunderball, Live and Let Die, The Man with the Golden Gun, Moonraker, For Your Eyes Only,License to Kill, The World is Not Enough and Die Another Day. These will be the same discs as included on the Bond 50 box set and will include new cover artwork as you can see here (we'll update with Amazon links when available)...

We're not big fans of the Photoshop art - the old discs with the original poster art were better. But you can bet creative types around the net will get to work on better custom art for these releases pretty quickly.

Now then... we've learned from our industry sources that the 9 other classic Bond films (previously unreleased on Blu-ray) will all be made available as BD singles as well - initially as various retail exclusives and then more widely in early 2013. We know from their own website that Walmart will have GoldenEye, Octopussy and Diamonds Are Forever. Here's the cover art for those...

That leaves You Only Live Twice, On Her Majesty's Secret Service, The Spy Who Loved Me, A View to a Kill, The Living Daylights and Tomorrow Never Dies. Amazon already has an exclusive version of the Bond 50 box set that comes with a bonus hardcover book, so that leaves Best Buy and Target as likely suspects to split the remaining titles at 3 each. Fox has informedThe Bits that they're NOT going to make the specific details on retailer exclusives available until street date, but we suspect they'll appear on the retailer sites anyway long before then, so do keep your eyes peeled.

I sure would to know is there going to be individual box sets of the Blu-rays. Where there are three, four or five in each one, or that we have to wait longer for it. Like say when Skyfall is released on DVD and Blu-ray.

I'm sure there will be at some point. Any opportunity for the studios to make money, they're going to take advantage of it.

Just found more good marketing for the German 'Casino Royale' and 'Quantum Of Solace' DVD re-releases on **-6.... spot the error..? Haha...!

Does anyone have the newly released covers as individual images. While not all the art is great, I want to use them for my CD images.

The wrong image is nothing new - this old DVD for LTK was using a promo image for TLD.

and pretty sure the shot of Moore on this one is from Octopussy

While I'm having a paste frenzy, I wonder if anyone can explain why the person who made the DAF blu ray cover has changed the angle of Bond's gun...

StuffMyOrders, I found out a few years ago that no UK movie posters or home video artwork could show a gun pointing directly into the eyes of the viewer. If this is still the case, then the DAF cover has probably been put together for international usage.

By the way, I haven't seen it mentioned here anywhere, so I thought I'd point out that Play.com recently had a poll for its followers on Facebook asking which Bond movie they'd most like to see released as a blu-ray steelbook exclusive. I found this out after the voting had closed, unfortunately.

Hope it's The Spy Who Loved Me!

That picture is bloody awful!

The previews from "Being Bond" and "World Of Bond" docs.

Thanks for the links.
Love the "Bond in motion" editing.

Thanks for posting! The last one has been pulled. I'm guessing the others will be pulled soon too?

Some of these must be the transitions parts of the documentaries when they move to a new subject.

Very cool. I'm getting really excited about the Bond 50 set!!!

I know I'm in the minority, but I really enjoy the photoshop covers. I really like the new ones that they have come up with too.

Of course I liked the last ones they used for blu ray as they had at least 1 of the Bond girls from the film as well.

Interesting point about the gun-pointing, thanks. Shame the result is really awful.

I think the steelbook vte seemed to be going in Casino Royale's favour, which seems a bit of a shame given there are already 2 versions of it on blu.

It seems the already released Blu-rays will also be available from Oct 2. New covers as well, and you guessed it, they look absolutely horrible:

http://www.foxconnec...?category_id=58

Most are a bit nasty stuck-on-hands affairs (although I don't mind Die Another Day) but From Russia With Love's one is outstanding. Looks terrific.
Shame it's got 007 plastered all over it, but that seems to be a necessary evil nowadays in the US.

Thanks for the link. I'd been wondering what the cover for THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS looked like. :)

Now, with that said, I must say that they've outdone themselves. By and large, these covers are awful, even worse than some of the other subpar covers they've put out in the past. The only passable ones are ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE and FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE. The rest of them are just bad.

Yes, the backgrounds are generic, but I really like the images of Bond used for From Russia WIth Love, For Your Eyes Only, On Her Majesty's Secret Service and at least for Goldfinger and A View to a Kill they went with something different.

Oh that is just awful for 'AVTAK'! Why the strained face of a oddly photoshoped Bond during a tired chase scene?! Why couldn't they stick with that image from the UE DVD, or a better moment in the film?

Dear me....

That one definitely is among the worst of the bunch, right alongside DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER and THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS. I'm not one of those who has a real burning desire to have EON put the original poster artwork on the covers (although I certainly wouldn't mind it), but I can't imagine that it would be that difficult to come up with something better than what we've gotten for the both sets of Blu-ray releases. These are just awful and are actually a step down from what was done on the original Blu-ray releases.

I still rank the UE DVD covers are one of the best for design, effort, detail and quality. Such a shame Blu Ray seems to be p***ed on!

I think the UE covers would have been fantastic if they had used the colored photography that they used for the middle section of the artwork for the entire thing and ditched the two rows of three black and white stills from the film. I didn't think those looked particularly good squeezed in there like that.

In the old days, before they let the kids loose with their digital crayons, we used to have people who knew what they were doing designing these things.

Wow, thanks for those Royal Dalton - I've never seen them before! Retro, but decent covers!

Are we SURE those Blu-Rays aren't TBC or fan-made? I can't get over the 'AVTAK' one with the horrid picture and MS Word dumped title and logo... so sloppy, and very dissapointing.

Oh, it's not that bad!

It could be a lot worse.

Like this....

I mean, seriously. Is that the only Connery/Thunderball publicity image they have? It's god awful. He looks mid sentance. Saying that though, it's a lot better than this...

Is that even Connery!?

I think that the Thunderball cover would actually be OK if they had used a different picture of Connery than the one they have used time and time (and time) again. I like the concept of what they were going for with the motorcycle and the photoshop effects around it, although that could use some polish, although I would have rather seen Domino make it on the cover instead.

I'm guessing these covers aren't truly final as some have the "Albert R. Broccoli presents so and so as James Bond..." line and some do not. Surely they wouldn't forget that on some of the covers? Well, they probably would. Still, it gives hope that some of the lesser ones (like the awful A View To A Kill one) will be tweaked. From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, and On Her Majesty's Secret Service remain the best. Simple and effective. Die Another Day is pretty cool too, probably the best cover we've had of it for a home video release.

I quite like the Brosnan ones, except for the way they've arranged the Die Another Day text.

Is there any reason why they couldn't have done new versions for Casino Royale and Quantum of Solace?

Most of the covers look pretty cool. I just want the movies in blu ray quality anyways.
