Nice cover arts for the Bond 50 Blu-rays. Just wish people in the business would listen or even look at and read sites and forums to get ideas or use as a reference guide. It like they don't they really give a F about the views of the regular people. I'm NOT just talking about Fox and MGM, even city governments when they say want to make this part of town look nicer and better for the locals. It like no use even when they have poll and surveys and discussion online. They are still going to do what they want. It more like the only way is one have be working for whoever and be part of the team, and when it don't work act like a adult version of a little kid to get it to happen and work at the end. Outside of that comapnies, city governments and so on will not listen really even whey they have their own poll and surveys and discussion online for people to have a say in it. They never really go to any forums and look at what people have to say and what can be use as their reference.

Sorry, don't know is this has been confirmed on here...but I found this about the re-classification on 'Diamonds Are Forever' from a PG to 12a from the BBFC:

The most recent revision of the Guidelines was in 2009. It is not unusual, therefore, for older category decisions to change when a work is resubmitted under a different set of Guidelines. A category can be downgraded or upgraded. For example, JAWS was recently resubmitted for a modern classification and was upgraded from 'PG' to '12A'.

With the recent resubmission of DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER, under the current classification criteria, we judged the scene in which Bond tears off a woman's bikini top and throttles her with it was now no longer appropriate at 'PG'. (This scene is usually removed when the film is broadcast on TV.) Furthermore, under the current Guidelines an aggressive use of 'bitch' and the negative comic stereotyping of homosexual characters were elements also judged more appropriate at a higher category than 'PG'. DIAMONDS ARE FOREVER was subsequently reclassified at '12'.

It was mentioned earlier in the thread, but thanks for the update. I did see a new article on James Bond MI6 website about it today.

Looking forward to Bond 50 blu ray and I love the new box set book style. Great stuff.

Casino Royale was also reclassified, according to the BBFC: http://www.bbfc.co.uk/BVF223833/

I might just keep my pre-order, although I still abhor the packacking of the discs...

Those are brilliant! While I don't dislike the packaging of the Bond 50 set, there's no denying something like these covers would have been even better.

I wonder if the US will be getting the complete stairwell fight and PTS in Casino, or if it's just the UK getting new stuff.

It was £72 at HMV a couple of months back. But it's back up to £90 on their site now.

I think the cheapest price at the moment is at Asda (£86.97).

BBFC's 'Casino Royale' certificate change...

Brief shots from the torture sequence were removed for UK audiences, although the film was screened in its original form almost everywhere else in the world. This increase to '15' means that British Bond fans will finally get to see the same film when it is released in Blu-Ray later this year in the BOND 50 set.

The latest classification of "Casino Royale" by the BBFC lists the film's duration as 2:18:34:13 (2 hours, 18 minutes, 34 seconds and 13 frames) and warns of "one scene of torture and strong action violence".

Sounds interesting to soon see what we didn't get in the UK...!

In the international version, just after LeChiffre says to Bond "Wow, you've taken good care of your body.", he then places the rope over Bonds shoulder, leans down and whispers "Such a waste" in his ear. Probably removed due to homoerotic subtext.

That's right. Mostly cut because of the sexual overtones. It's worth keeping the current UK Blu-ray, though, if you've got it. Alternative version and all that.

Yeah, I'm not planning to let my Deluxe Edition go. Since the amount of special features that aren't on the Blu Ray for some reason.

HMV have got a separate pre-order up for Casino Royale now. That might be a reissue of the Deluxe set, but with the uncut version of the film.

That's a strange cut - it shouldn't have been cut IMO, I mean whatever the villains sexual orientation, suggested or otherwise, it's not that bad to not show UK audiences was it? Oh well, I hope to see the full version!

And I second a 'Quantum Of Solace' goody-bag DVD/Blu-Ray release before 'Skyfall'...!

It cuts Craig drowning the guy to a shot of his legs shaking and the stairwell fight cuts when they go through the glass.

Most likely 2013 for the Quantum CE. It's been done since 2009 btw. MGM is sitting on it.

The CE of Casino Royale is not being included in Bond 50 as well.

I wonder if they will do a Bond / Craig box set with all 3 of his Bond films at some point. Maybe 2013 or maybe further on?

That way they can put out a bare bones Skyfall blu ray in the Spring of 13, then do another one in a year or two with Quantum or all 3?

Looks like the next dip should be next year or so?

Hopefully there is more news on the 3 Wal Mart exclusive titles soon.

I'm very excited about the Bond 50 set, but it could've been made better by including the CE's of Casino Royale and Quantum. In addition they should've given us a bit more on the previously released Bond films as well. Even if it was just beefing up the trailers, tv spots and radio spots.

As am I. They aren't amazing by any means, but look far cleaner than the rather choppy covers of the previous Blu-ray releases. These are probably the best Bond covers we've had since the Special Edition DVD versions (also used for the final VHS set).

I'm excited for the Bonus Disc features. Interviews with all of the Bonds? I hope they're new.

Also, I wonder if the HMV title card option that's advertised on the main page will be available in Canada as well. There's no option as of yet on the Canadian HMV website,

They're quite retro, in a modern sort of way! Yeah, not too bad at all...except 'The Man With The Golden Gun'..but we can't all have perfection...!

Brosnan never looked more bada-$$ as Bond as he does in the 'TWINE' cover....brilliant!

I have to agree, they are pretty bad. I just don't understand why it's so difficult to come up with some decent for the Blu-ray covers. They didn't do a good job the last time around and they've dropped the ball yet again. It really can't be that difficult, can it?

I agree, these are really quite bad. Why does Timothy Dalton look like he's gambling in the middle of a snowstorm on the LTK cover?

I wonder does it cost more to make better cover arts even if it looks kind of like lithograph level art. I don't really like the Licence To Kill, Die Another Day Live And Let Die and The Man With The Golden Gun covers. I think the pervious Blu-ray covers and UE DVD covers.

I wounder are there add features or more along with the old one. IF is I might have double dip and then switch out the disc using the pervious Blu-ray cover. Another thing I don't know iIF anyone here cares or not. But will there a whole new menu screen design with different score or music. Last of all do you think they will put the trailer of Skyfall on the Blu-Ray.
