Oh that is just awful for 'AVTAK'! Why the strained face of a oddly photoshoped Bond during a tired chase scene?!
Well, you could argue that it's an extremely accurate reflection of the film.
It is odd how often the ball seems to be spectacularly dropped when it comes to home video covers for the Bond films.

And regarding the Play.com 'GoldenEye' Blu Ray steelbook - they're both great covers! Why the hell can't we have actual sleek graphics and photographs on these Blu Rays rather than the odd photoshop ones we have now?!

Those are great VHS covers, I'm guessing they are from 1985/86 because AVTAK is the latest one.In the old days, before they let the kids loose with their digital crayons, we used to have people who knew what they were doing designing these things.

Agreed the AVTAK is really weak and FRWL, GF, and OHMSS are probably the best ones. I also like DN and MR. Also I like the DAD one but, is it me or does he have some gray hairs?I'm guessing these covers aren't truly final as some have the "Albert R. Broccoli presents so and so as James Bond..." line and some do not. Surely they wouldn't forget that on some of the covers? Well, they probably would. Still, it gives hope that some of the lesser ones (like the awful A View To A Kill one) will be tweaked. From Russia With Love, Goldfinger, and On Her Majesty's Secret Service remain the best. Simple and effective. Die Another Day is pretty cool too, probably the best cover we've had of it for a home video release.
Both these covers look awesome but I would have to go with the poster one.Vote for your Goldeneye steelbook cover here: https://apps.faceboo...&channel=social

Having said that, the horrible Goldeneye movie poster (the worst in the series until Tomorrow Never Dies came along) isn't much better either!
So disappointed the fans voted for GoldenEye. Such a drab, boring film.

Watch your tongue Loomis - I wont hear a bad word said about 'AVTAK'!
Me neither, actually. For the record, I enjoy A VIEW TO A KILL tremendously (it's certainly far superior to a dull slab of pretentious piffle like QUANTUM OF SOLACE), but it cannot be denied that it has more than its share of (amusingly) cheesy elements, which of course only add to its entertainment value.

First, we've got a major Bond 50 Blu-ray update for you this morning. We've confirmed with our sources at 20th Century Fox that nearly all special feature content from the previous Special Edition Blu-rays and DVDs will carry over to the new BD releases. The only exceptions are the Mission Control menu-based content from the previous DVDs, many items from Charles de Lauzirika's original 2003 Die Another Day: Special Edition and 5 items from the 2008 Casino Royale: Collector's Edition BD (The Art of the Freerun, Catching a Plane: From Storyboard to Screen, Storyboard Sequence: Freerun Chase, Filmmaker Profiles and Bond Girls Are Forever). So if you have those discs and want to retain all the bonus content, definitely keep them.
We've also confirmed that the 11 classic Bond titles previously released on Blu-ray will be available widely again on 10/2, the same day as the box set. We already know that Walmart will have 3 of the never-before-released titles as BD exclusives that day: Diamonds Are Forever, Octopussy and GoldenEye. We've now OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED exactly what we suspected, which is that Best Buy will have On Her Majesty's Secret Service, You Only Live Twice and The Spy Who Loved Me as BD exclusives on 10/2, and Target will have A View to a Kill, The Living Daylights and Tomorrow Never Dies as BD exclusives. So that's our Bond news for today. Again, that's official.

And still nothing exciting then about the bonus features on the Blu Ray - if anything, we're LOSING them now? Dear me.

Will they hold off until Skyfall comes to blu ray to reissue those?
Could be a miss step if so. Typical of MGM however?
The Dark Knight and Batman Begins were number 1 on the blu ray charts for at least 2 weeks when The Dark Knight Rises came to theaters this Summer. Of course they included free movie tickets to Rises.

These pages actually look pretty good. I love that picture of Dalton. It's a shame they didn't use it in the box art. Also two great pictures of two great Bond girls.

So apart from the Casino Royale Deluxe Edition is there any pointing hanging on to any of the UE DVDS ???
They are dropping the Mission Control features I believe. This is where you can watch the exotic locations, 007, titles without the credits..
Just hang on to them would be my recommendation.
There is a Bond 50 DVD set coming I think too? I wonder if they will have different transfers then the UE DVD's?
I doubt it though. Probably just a packaging change for the same discs?

About $60 total. The UK Region B one is cheaper.
Are they not including the original audio on the Region B UK Bond 50 blu ray set?
That would be a huge factor. I'm thinking of cancelling my US Region A set order...
Thanks!
I'm also curious about the Hitchcock blu ray set in Region B UK as well. It's cheaper then the US version, but I want to be sure they are identical and that the discs are multiregion.
I'm in Region A US and do not have a multiregion player.
Thanks!
