THE BOX!
Or is it? There's another pic of her holding a small leather notebook. Could be a false alarm.

Maybe the leather book goes in the box. After all, it's a box, right? It has to contain something, otherwise it's not a box.PICTURE 14!

Maybe my theory that the box is an "insurance policy" has a ring of truth to it. I hope the leather notebook isn't like the old plot device of a secret ledger showing all the shady transactions that were made. I'd love it if the notebook contained nothing of interest, or something totally useless, like a recipie for M's favourite Yorkshire puddings, and Bond uses it to bluff the villains into believing that he has something incriminating on them.

So is Skyfall going to be all about this box- the Macguffin?! Are M and Bond tearing around London keeping this Macguffin safe from their enemies?
Please don't let it be so. It's as bad as 'the rabbit's foot' in MI:3.

Nobody knows. And nobody who is in any position to tell is going to let it slip. Whatever it is, it is no doubt a plot point, but that doesn't automatically make it bad.So is Skyfall going to be all about this box- the Macguffin?!
They may well do, but once again, we're in no position to know for sure. It could be that M has a highly-classified source somewhere in the world, someone whose identity only she knows, and they communicate by depositing intelligence in the locked box, which M personally retrieves on a regular basis. Are M and Bond tearing around London keeping this Macguffin safe from their enemies?

I don't think it was a good idea to move James Bond to Vauxhall in GE. It makes it so totally obvious where he is, and ruins the 'Universal Exports' cover. It would make more sense if the elite Double-0 Section was hiding somewhere else in London.
It makes perfect sense; since Bond works outside of the UK, the Universal Exports cover just needs a fake address and active phone number to work as cover, having MI6 operate under the pretence of being a business in the modern world would be ridiculous from both a practical and security point of view. Fleming had the (then) real MI6 Broadway Building location in mind when he wrote the novels, so it only seems logical that the current films use the current actual HQ (which opened the year GE went into production).

Confirmed through a bit of Google Street View - the house is 82 Cadogan Square, just after the junction of the square with Clabon Mews. http://g.co/maps/v84uy

Great photos from the rain scenes. Looks to me like that's what was filmed at Cadogan Square. My suspicion is that after the footchase when M is rushed away in the Jaguar, she then heads to Bond's flat later that night (with the box/book), and he flees London to Scotland with her following that.
That could make a lot of sense. The DB5 London scene had wet down roads - post rain-fall. I also heard word that Bond's flat would appear in Skyfall.

And Cadogan Sq is near the King's Road in Chelsea where Fleming placed Bond's London apartment. I think Bond's apartment is back!

Sorry, had to do it No ofense taken from our friend from down under, ok?
All jokes aside, I hope Bond´s flat will be uber cool. I remember XXXX´s flat, from that scene on the phone with the "dragon" assassin, very funny: Why don´t you come over and we´ll have some breakfast? Do you know were I live? No? *uck off then. Brilliant.

Bond's flat.
Gunbarrel back in its place.
Moneypenny.
Q.
Remind me why the powers that be thought it was a good idea to omit all of this in CR and QOS? I'm almost tearful at the prospect of seeing all these things in Skyfall. Unreasonable excitement warranted!

Woah, PPK...rewind....is their confirmation the gunbarrel is back in it's place!? I didn't know this...!
As Ourumov said... "Is this true?"

No, not as such. It's just speculation on my part, since all the other traditional Bond elements are coming back for Skyfall.
I bet the gunbarrel is back in its usual place though....just a feeling i have!

I second that!
There seems to be a lot of driving like I mentioned before, but that's a good thing. From what we can tell, the overall look of the film is going to be very, very different. I wonder if any dialogue is said on set, and if someone heard them.
