So sorry, Jim, forgot about that.

My mistake once again.

Too much excitement for one night.

Well it's certainly better than the bum-shot!

I love the air of mystery around this image...Bond looking like that hard-edged, cold-as-ice 007 even more so with that slight beard and steel glare in his eyes, and especially wrapped up warm with those gloves. Looking like a man tipped over the edge ready for justice!

And of course, seeing the PPK back is even better. Thank you EON!!

Had a sneaky suspicion they'd go for a beard shot - doubtless to generate a lot of discussion and opinion. Super photo though.

Wise to go with a great beard shot to stir up some discussion and interest. It's a great photo overall, beats QOS promo-pic by miles. Love the PPK! Bond with a stubble is something new, I like it. It's not like he is gonna have it all through the film either.

Nice. Not revealing too much (or anything besides the beard). I was hoping for more but maybe I´m just too impatient.

Have nothing against the beard. Still... why is Bond bearded? Undercover, so that nobody recognizes him? Hey, Blofeld did not recognize Bond in a kilt. Then again, Craig in a kilt...

Ah, those times of innocence when Bond could pull that off are gone.

I was a bit surprised to see that amount of stubble going on, but it's still a very cool promotional pic. I knew he wasn't that clean shaven in most of the other pictures, but I don't exactly have an issue with it. I hope the classic clean-shaven Bond look makes an appearance as well.

So rugged and gritty, with a PPK it is. Gloves, slightly moody look - and a black coat that looks far neater than Bond himself. He looks a bit like a contract killer, which isn't far off. the mark. With that gun, ready cocked and all that, it looks like he means business - perhaps he's cought up with his prey?

I wasn't too impressed at first, but I kinda like this photo.

As that beard surely must go sooner or later there's a great chance to show Bond using the brand new and improved, battery enhanced 7-blade DevinePowerFusion™-i007ProGlide© with weekly automatic blade order via Internet from Gillette.

Lovely pic: the beard has shades of Chuck Norris' painted-on one, though.

Oh yes, great chance to do that (again).

Picture looks really great (a bit of Chuck indeed).

Very nice.

The beard will take some getting used to, but then i once thought that about the blonde hair before CR. Be good if Craig loses it at some point, but he's such a good actor that i'm sure i'll accept whatever he does as Bond.

Roger Deakins looks to be doing a superb job - even if this is just a set-still, rather than a screen grab, then his lighting direction still bodes very well.

Must say, Craig's Bond looks as though he's been around the block a few times in this pic - maybe the proto-Bond of the reboot is a thing of the past and he's now the finished article...!

I've been an outspoken advocate of Daniel Craig as Bond since seeing him in Love Is The Devil in 1998 (great film: Love Is the Devil: Study for a Portrait of Francis Bacon (1998) - IMDb ) and still am.

BTW, thanks Tightpants for pointing me to this thread :)

Very nice! I love how it's an ACTUAL STILL from the movie. It' s an awesome classical pose. Awesome! Anyone here reminded of Blade Runner, though?
