Theory: there's an explosion in the 'Filming Discussion' thread right now about some Smithfield stuff apparently happening today - Craig, Dench, Bardem on set, people watching the action, etc.

It's entirely possible that EON knows there will be spy photos online in short order, and is releasing official stills tomorrow to counter them. Not unlike WB and Superman this past summer - they released the first shot of Cavill about two days before they knew spy photos would be taken of him in costume on the Plano, IL set.

I'm hoping it's a classic gun pose. I remember one morning I clicked on the Casino Royale website and I was greeted with Bond in an open necked tux. My god, my heart skipped a beat.

Just put in a couple of calls, and the information I have is that it's likely to be an on-set picture released tomorrow, and it's not anticipated that Eon would build up to a previously seen image (i.e. the pool photo) - so fingers crossed for a good 'un. I can't say that's definitely what will happen, but I'd say we're 80/20 in favour of something brand new.
