Have you considered the possibility that Bond could pass from The Shard to the roof of a near tower using a crane and then is forced to jump off the roof of that tower ( in this case the tower hosting the offices)?

From what I can understand the action should expect either Craig coming out of the moving car or fighting with the driver and taking the control of the car.

That would make sense, yeah: if he's fighting with the driver they'd have to show the car losing control which they couldn't do with a low-loader, so it would explain why it's driven from the roof.

I'm guessing that anything shot at Pinewood - probably 59A and V64BA - had a green screen in the background, and the Shanghai skyline will be added in post-production. Before people howl and complain over this, I would suggest they go and watch THE GHOST WRITER. Polanski did exactly the same thing; all the shots inside Pierce Brosnan's house were done on a sound stage with green screen in the place of the windows, to which a background was later added digitally. You can't actually tell that it was done this way.

Although that film does have bits set in 'London' that don't look entirely convincing!

I’m convinced that, this section of the film will be in Shanghai and the clapperboard photo shows a large interior set at Pinewood - which is where I believe they were filming on Friday 27th.
The 'photo' in that link is an artist impression; the Shard is still under construction and will not be finished until June or open for use until next year. They could not film there, it’s an unsafe building sight right now.

Yes, I'd be very surprised if the construction company building it would be happy letting a film company come in: they have deadlines to work to.

... having London as a main location and only a bit outside of the UK - it seems to me that they indeed had to cut the budget. Of course, it could also mean that to do things efficiently, one does not travel to foreign places anymore like in the good old Bond days.

While I am trying to remain as spoiler free as possible (merely following the twitter page closely) filming does seem to be London/England heavy. But keep in mind this is a long shoot. Till May I think. I don't recall where I heard that. It would make sense that foreign filming locales need longer prep time and would be saved for later.

That probably has more to do with the shooting schedule than anything else. They've been filming a lot in London and Pinewood because that's what the schedule calls for. Production is expected to move to Turkey for three months in the middle of February.

Despite all the reports of the budgets being slashed, there was never a reason of an amount given. This was probably because the tabloids had seen that production was sticking to London for the time being. They claimed India, China an Bali had all been cut, but we know India was axed months ago, Bali was never a part of the film, and it appears that production always planned to shoot the majority of the China scenes with sets and locations doubling for one another.

And you have to consider that SKYFALL only has four locations - and two of those are in the UK.

Just realised Craig isn't wearing the same clothes as the November shoot. Maybe it's just the lighting, but I swear it's not a leather jacket he's wearing in the first pic.
