Well let's try and work it out. What's been filmed so far that we know of?

I'm thinking a shot of Bond and M in the DB5, The pool pic, obviously. M's and Bond in her underground bunker, one of Javier, and Ralph most likely, and probably some cool shot of Bond aiming a gun.

Great pics!

The only thing i can say is that with Craig's new crew-cut and earpiece, he looks more like a bodyguard than Bond!

@Mharkin - please don't understand this as being bitchy, but would you mind crediting the pics like I did, when I posted them on MI6. Thanks :)

I think, these exact pics are in between shoots, as it shows his owb bg. Maybe its not Bond but Daniel, who has the earpieces - for whatever reason. 80/20 its not so, though, but you never know.

He's clean shaven in these photos.

We've known he's been clean-shaven for some time. After all, he did the DRAGON TATTOO press interviews without a beard.

More to the point, the empire page as disapeared and JP says there will be the "official" release of pictures very very soon.

These photos may be the official releases Page was talking about. I have no idea, because I can't see the forum threads thanks to his "no man, no problem" approach to moderation.

Why should he? MI6 doesn't credit CBn when they post something, and 90% of what they post comes from here. And about half of that was originally posted by Mharkin.

Why does everyone have a problem with this? Everybody demands a return to the style of the 1960s. When it is announced, everybody applauds it. When we see it in action, everybody criticises it.

Yes, not his finest hour that something% banned idiosyncrasy. And mods and members being wrong or, more to the point, acting wrong, has always happened at some point, to be fair, in all the Bond related forums. People will be people, what can we do?

But I think the "official" pictures are still to come, except for the pool one.

He makes it seem like we haven´t seen the "official" pictures yet, except for the pool one. And I reckon he´s right. These chase pictures just aren´t in the same league.

Erm, because Bond's trousers in the Sixties never used to look a bit short in the leg?

There are a couple of posing shots of the new Bond girls in the Mail on Sunday magazine today. I'm not sure if they're official film images, or if they've just been done for the magazine, though.

Yeah i posted a new thread about the 50th Anniversary Bond mag today, here: http://debrief.commanderbond.net/topic/61097-back-to-the-bond-age/

I think those shots of the girls are just for the mag, by the looks of it: http://i57.photobuck.../DSCF3525_2.jpg (Harris)

It may not be an official picture after all. Bond23.net reports that it's apparently been removed from the Empire site and speculates that it was leaked.

Could this be the reason why the anouncement of the first official SkyFall-pic was taken from CBn?

Ah, so it was leaked. Was wondering why 007.com hadn't put it up yet. Still a great first still for the film. A lot has been shot in London and (let's not forget) inside Pinewood studios. As for the photos echoing the tone of the film, I thought Casino Royale's were pretty solid (the one of Bond aiming at Mollaka and the one of Bond in Dryden's office aiming the silenced Walther). This pool image is tonally probably a good indication of what we can expect.

I´d be quite happy with those. Although I think we won´t be getting one of Javier just yet and I can´t remember when was Ralph suppose to shoot his scenes. But all and all, I´d be a good show if those were the photos released, say, tomorrow (?).

Well we got a look at Mads as Le Chiffre fairly early on so I wouldn't be surprised if we saw Javier. I'm also hoping for a look at M and Bond in the Aston.

Only in this case, I posted all of them on MI6, like I said in above post and credit goes to DTD. I am saying this, because there is so much energy going into complaining, who does and who does not credit. So - it either goes for all of us or for none.

In the end, its a rather childish war among borthers, as these 2 boards are so alike. Same threads, same discussions, even the same people more or less. The only open question is, who will get this or that first. Had it just been one board, the information would be the same. So like others, I do switch force and back, but its not really a necessity to have 2 IMO.

Again @Mharkin, this is not meant unfriendly in any way..

When official pictures are released, they're usually released on some kind of press site, which in this case is the Sony press site. They're not being send out to a chosen few, every newspaper or journalist who has to deal with movies is (or should be) registered there and has access to them. My mailbox at the office is littered every day with a number of mails from various movie companies with press site update alerts. Possible that Empire has contacts to someone in the press department, got this one early and couldn't resist publishing it. It also happens that pictures are available, but are embargoed until a certain date and time and Empire chose to ignore the embargo. I only have access to the German Sony press site, so I don't know if something is already posted on the UK or US press site (the German site often is a day or two behind these).

Just out of interest. What are they dealing with, if they ignore embargos and whatnot or publish stuff like this? Anything at all?

So what?o you think, did EON plant it on them to bring it out or did they did it on their own?

I don't think there was any embargo on any of the images released so far. They're all leaks or spy shots, and EON can only place an embargo on things they control the launch of.

His trousers look a bit short in the leg.

The photos captured him striding and with notably bent knees. Well measured suit trousers do ride up. If he was standing still or just not moving around so fast they'd show a perfect length. I'd rather not see Bond in a Zoot suit or some poorly fitted, baggy 80's number.

I must say the hair is particularly short. I know it won't affect the quality of the story or Craig's performance, just that I've always envisioned the classic Bond image to include at least a little length allowing the 'comma' of hair to droop down above his right eyebrow. Was always a prevalent part of Bond's look in the books and even carried through plenty of the films. Just that if they are so passionate about making this film feel more 'classic Bond' why would they practically shave all his hair down to a military crew-cut?

Perhaps this is the pre-title sequence, then? There was talk a while ago that the story would involve a Bond who was a little rough around the edges before being recalled to MI6. He's very clean-cut here and he's wearing an earpiece. Perhaps he is tasked with protecting a foreign dignitary - Javier Bardem - and fails. He gets benched, put on a long-term assignment and sent to Shanghai while there is an inquest into the episode. M recalls him when they find new evidence linking the attacks to China.

Erm, because Bond's trousers in the Sixties never used to look a bit short in the leg?

So you expect Bond to wear the exact same clothes he did fifty years ago, then? If the style of the 1960s calls for a shorter pants leg, how is that really a problem unless the plot hinges on just how visible Bond's ankles are?

One of the most classic and Fleming-esque Bond stills. Very similar suit styles, even down to a light blue shirt - more Naval - and the slim knitted silk ties.

Very true. And I´ve only now noticed Craig is wearing a knitted silk tie, very cool, I wear them quite often, dark navy blue ones from Commandini - Rome, the ocasional grey or dark brown one is also nice.
