Why do so many folks take for sure what a single member of the other board claims about production stills? No official anouncement was made so far to my knowledge.

Because he’s the person who runs the MI6 web site and he’s in a position to know when stills are going to be released.

Well, there's probably only so many photos of Mr Craig's chutney barrels anyone can take.

...chutney barrels...

Ha ha!

I never thought I would dig the short hair as much as I do.

When it comes to looks it seems we are getting a few different ones for Bond this time. Stubble with medium hair, no stubble with medium hair and clean shaven with crew-cut.

The hair has been this close-cut throughout filming. It's no shorter in these latest pics than it was before. There's more light washing it out a bit but that's all.

Thanks Shrublands. I didn't know that he runs "the other web site" because I prefer this one. But nevertheless I doubt that he (who seems to be quite busy in the spoiler section over there) is "in a position to know when stills are going to be released". At least not in a position to be informed by the officials of Eon. But I might be wrong.

I think they will release a poster soon. Also some stills. A teaser trailer is coming. Then a trailer. Trust me on this. I'm MI6.

Well, he said a still/s was coming and then the pool shot appeared.
Actually, I’m not a big fan of him myself, but I thought it was a reasonable enough observation.

They never promised anything at all. It´s just that expectations were build regarding last week and maybe the begining of this one. The worst part is knowing there are indeed pictures for release and not knowing when they are being released.

Exactly - so it's a little difficult to get disappointed over it since nothing was ever promised, wouldn't you say?

The photos are indeed out there. And no, we don't know when they will be released. But the will be released eventually. EON obviously have their reasons for an embargo.

More often than you would assume, people don´t get disappointed only by broken promises, they get disappointed over broken expectations, which is another matter entirely. You see, expectations aren´t anchored necessarily in induction by others. They brew out of one´s wishes. That being said, it was my wish that pictures would be released, the man from Mi6 - Graham Green sounding cognomen - refered that there would be pictures released soon, even set possible dates (end of past week) and so, expectations arised. No promises were made, but expectations were certainly concocted (on a side note, always wanted to use the word concocted, thank you). Cheers old chap.

In that case, people are just being unfair - they've convinced themselves that somebody is going to do something, and when that doesn't happen, they attack that somebody when that somebody hasn't done anything wrong.

Such is life mon ami. Intricate, complex, and ultimatly, a bit unfair. Awareness is the aim. I´m aware of my unfounded expectations as a fan, so I don´t actually blame anyone else but me for the illusion. Not even Mr. Page, who undoubtedly has valid intell. And even better, if you are aware of all this, then you´re not afraid to up your expectations at all, being, of course, aware of all possible results and feelings that arise, such as disappointment. Cognizance my dear friend, cognizance.

Right on, univex! You hit that nail right on the sweet-spot.

Though there'll often be things which seem unfair in life, we can still do something about it within ourselves. Just as we can look back to times in our lives when we behaved poorly or thought very differently, and now recognise that, we can use all these little windows to help us understand how to realise fuller perceptions of the world/people or why another person may behave the same way. I find the more I recognise these things and logically consider the reasons, the more I find I like people and don't get angry, even when they are rude or in strong dissagreement with me etc.

Well, I, personally don't think you have any reason to be complaining about the photos not being released, and I'm disappointed that someone as intelligent as yourself was complaining when you knew nothing had been promised. Maybe I just value objectivity more than you do.

I like objectivity and pragmatism. I just feel sorry for people who feel they have to restrain their expectations in order to not be disappointed. Their loss I´m afraid. And I´m not complaining, I´m demonstrating my desire to have seen more photos released, while maintaining my objectivity - knowing nothing had been promised in the first place. I´ve demonstrate my appreciation for your penchant for objectivity, Captain, but I´m afraid that, obsession is on the other side of the thin line you tread. Calling someone a moron because they decide what to believe, like you just did in another thread, is an example of this. I too consider you intelligent, don´t restrain yourself and others so much - that would be my sound advice, but I know you´ll take it badly and I wish you didn´t, we´re all friends here, or should be anyway. This, as I said inumerous times, is all fun and games.

Not at all, univ. And thanks, I've been posting here and there, I always come back for a new Bond production! Mainly because of DC's new portrayal and the direction - lots of potential. And sure, none of us are perfect eh, Tightpants. I can still get caught off guard by expecations and all the rest, but I've definitely improved myself over time. We can all take little baby-steps at a time into a larger world *bad Alec Guinness impression*.

Anyhow, I am very much looking foreward to some official pics, whenever they pop up in this astounding world of inter-webs. It's not like it's going to be too long to wait, and they may cast a whole new light on the style of production going on. I presume they will be stills.. though whatever they are they should be excellent fodder for dissecting and over-analysing the hell out of!

If it doesn't happen today, then it probably isn't happening at all. The person who posted information on incoming photos said they would arrive some time within the week one week ago.
