apologies if I have been lazy and this has already been posted but there has been a lot of flow on the new imagery released today.
anyway, this was in London's Evening Standard today.

like the look of the hands free earphones...hopefully using Mi6 surveillance as he homes on Javier Bardem...reminds me of the Bourne Supremacy scene at Waterloo, which was incredible.

Eh?? Has ANOTHER new picture been released and we haven't seen it yet??
Just one caught by the paparazzi shooting Craig in action. It's a relatively blurry photo and not a very good one of him. Not nearly the polished work of the official release.
My immidiate thought was the Bourne Ultimatum as well.

I suspect some may be more interested in the watch. Lunatics.
I can see that man's bottom.
This must really excite you, as you mentioned it three times now. If it was me, i would understand it, but you? Guess he should be flattered.
Its different and I like it for that apart from the obvious and yes, Bond is for the Ladies, too. We will get tons of suit pics and whatn ot, so what is the big deal? And yes, it will make the round faster then a suit pic, which is probably what they intended apart from not leaking anything too close to the actual shooting.

I'm not keen on the earpiece. That spells Bond being directed from afar to me.
Or he could be tapped into the enemy's communications and trying to get a bearing on where an event is about to take place.

I think you're reading it all wrong. I don't think his body is the "main attraction". I think this photo was chosen to give us a sense of how the film will look and feel - it has more to do with Sam Mendes and Roger Deakins than it does Daniel Craig.Am I the only one that miss the old days?
In those days Bond´s body wasn´t the main atraction. Yeah, he was fit and had muscles, but the photos we were expecting were of the incredible Bond girls or the terrific stunts... Frankly, I prefer the clapper photos to this...
A little sexist, misogynist dinosaur? yes, that was Bond, James Bond.

Are you talking seriously? My opinion is that here they are using the sex appeal of Daniel Craig to sell Skyfall. They need the attention of the media to stay alive these days and this picture serves that purpose. Add the fact that this photo doesn't spoil us anything ....et voilà! they have achieved the maximum result.

Right, because there is nothing sexier than a man's back and his plumber's crack. That's what women really want. Why is it that whenever Daniel Craig takes his shirt off, the producers are abusing his sex appeal, but when the other Bond - except for Dalton - did it, there was not a word of protest? So tell me, what would you prefer in this shot? Daniel Craig in a wetsuit? My opinion is that here they are using the sex appeal of Daniel Craig to sell Skyfall.
When I saw this picture, the first thing my eye went to was the lighting of the scene - it's coming from the pool. No doubt there is some lighting overhead to soften the shadows, but I think the intention here is to show how the film will be shot and how it will look.

Because they were never objectified. That's the key difference. They weren't waxed, toned, or anything like that.
Welcome to metro-Bond.

About Bond being objectified, no problem with that, as long as we get similar or even naughtier shots of Severine.
I´d love for a pic like this to turn up: http://media.comicbo...ures/40330L.jpg

I hardly think this qualifies as objectification. It's a shot of Bond sitting by a pool, looking introspective. He's not even in the middle of the shot.Because they were never objectified. That's the key difference. They weren't waxed, toned, or anything like that.
And I have an easier time believing that Daniel Craig is capable of doing the things he does simply because he does work out. Pierce Brosnan came across as mildly overweight and had greying chest hair.

I think Eva's the bustiest we've had since...Valerie Leon in '77, surely? And she was just a receptionist, on screen for a few moments. Eva has a fantastic rack.
Lorna Morgan for Bond girl in 2015.

Well, it's a picture.
And a damn good one.
Look, am I really alone in getting a strangely poignant LOST IN TRANSLATION-ish/Edward Hopper-ish vibe from this image? Now, I freely admit that I may be reading far, far too much into it, but Bond, to me, seems isolated, dejected and pensive here - vulnerable, even. It's the kind of shot that would have suited the start of QUANTUM OF SOLACE. It tells us nothing about the plot of SKYFALL, yet seems to speak volumes about its content, tone and overall aesthetic.
Or maybe I'm just reading way too much into it, who knows? Still, isn't this much more intriguing than a common-or-garden shot of Craig holding a gun?
