Oooooh. A clapperboard on a Thursday is new - must mean we're getting something more interesting on the Friday...?
When do we normally get them?

I've heard that there is an action sequence planned for the Underground, or at least the Charing Cross platform. I'm hoping it doesn't end with the villain boarding a train and slipping away while Bond helplessly watches on. That's a bit too much of a cliche for my liking (plus, THE BOURNE ULTIMATUM did it).Looks like they're using one of the abandoned Jubilee Line platforms again.

1. They simply didn't mask one of the Charing Cross signs, as it won't actually be seen on screen.
2. Scenes are set in both Charing Cross and Temple, which for the purposes of the film may well be consecutive stations on the same line. If this is the case, perhaps we might have a sequence where both Bond and a villain (Bardem) get on the tube at one station, fight during the relatively short two minute journey, and then get off together and continue the chase. All speculation...
Also, let's consider the chronology. Scene 120 perhaps feeding later into the movie than I may originally have guessed for a London sequence. My instinct is that the action is set on the same day as the evening Aston Martin sequence shot in Deptford.

Which is in itself a homage (or rip-off - whichever way you see it) to the FRENCH CONNECTION, except without the later's Tom and Jerry humour.
If you were going to write a chase on a London tube platform, how would you do it?

I believe - though I'm not positive - every one has appeared on a Friday to this point.

Train chase. Javier Bardem boards a train and it starts to pull away. Daniel Craig commandeers a second train and follows him.If you were going to write a chase on a London tube platform, how would you do it?
Alternatively, Craig anticipates Bardem heading for the train, and takes a different route to it. We follow Bardem as he boards the train and then turns to watch for Craig boarding after him. There's nothing, but Craig is already on the train because he took a shortcut, and boarded further up the train before making his way back down to Bardem. Bardem turns back, only to be greeted by Daniel Craig and Daniel Craig's fist. Having subdued Bardem, Craig frog-marches him off the train at the next stop - Temple - and takes him into custody.

Or perhaps Bond corners a henchman, and rather than risk capture the henchman hurls himself in font of an oncoming train. Henchmen are always killing themselves with cyanide cigarettes, hot-air balloons, etc. A train would work just as well, and it would give Bond a chance to make a quip we haven't heard before. ("He lost his train of thought," "Another one down the tubes," "He was on the wrong track," etc.) Just once I'd like to see Bond murmur a witticism after a brutal fatality in a public place, and around him all the normal people are crying, vomiting, and taking pictures of the corpse with their cell phones. "Did you hear that freak over there? He turned to some woman and said, He sure went off the rails at the last minute. Like, about the guy who died. I'm not even kidding."

But I digress. We know Javier Bardem and Bond are involved in this scene. There is no word on anyone else, like Ola Rapace, being present (although having a henchman hidden in the crowd to ensure Bardem's escape might be a bit nifty).

I could see that working. Bond chases Bardem into the train station. A henchman is waiting for them, to distract Bond and let Bardem get away. The two fight, with the henchman drawing a gun and they end up on the edge of the platform. He asks Bond for any final words, and Bond replies with "mind the gap". We then hear the blast of a horn and the henchman looks up in horror - but the train is coming from another track and is no danger to them. This is enough of a distraction for Bond to throw him off the platform and onto the tracks below, possibly breaking his back (but certainly doing some damage). Bond then jumps down after him and takes him into custody."Mind the gap"
Such a scene would also address one of the criticisms from QUANTUM OF SOLACE - that Bond is far too quick to kill (though he only kills people who are attempting to kill him).

Bloody hell, quite right. Skipped over that one Cap. I guess brilliant minds think alike.Ah, kind of like that one I posted where Bond anticipates Bardem going for the train and boards it before he can; Bardem watches for signs of being followed, but turns around and finds Bond already there.

Nice image there...nothing more of an impact than turning around to see the steely blue-eyes of Bond staring at you before getting his hands on you to deal a punch or take you in. Like it! Love the amount of London based shots we're getting. The danger could be getting very close to home indeed in Skyfall!

I'm just not sure whether Bond should say "mind the gap" before or after he punches Bardem.Nice image there...nothing more of an impact than turning around to see the steely blue-eyes of Bond staring at you before getting his hands on you to deal a punch or take you in. Like it!
