I like it. Expect the unexpected. In a typical poster the lead actor is on top followed by the title in the middle and the credits on the bottom. This poster turns that upside down and puts Bond on the bottom. Symbolic of the story in the film. He's down but not out.

If that is it, I'm disappointed. It does nothing to dampen my enthusiasm for the film, but surely they will release other posters before the movie is released.

Excellent, symbolic rationalization. But this marketing department isn't that smart. Everything - everything - that can be wrong with a poster, is wrong with that poster.

I never saw a problem with the character the character posters, It's just that. Character Posters. They don't need a burning building, rain, explosions to make them cool, I though the character posters were classy.

I thought they looked like plastic mannequins or action figures. Pretty cheap if you ask me. And this poster should be a teaser poster, nothing more than that. And it would only be an alright teaser poster, nothing special IMO, which is what they should be going for: something special.

I agree, which is why I'm going to keep telling myself this isn't the final poster (even though it probably is). Some special poster for the 50th Anniversary.

I don't mind this poster. I just don't want it to be the final one. There must be another one down the road.

Saying that though, it looks beautiful as my background.

Too bright for me in the morning when I wake up, I'll stick with the same JDS UFC background I've been using for a month, which in return is also too bright.

It's nice, but hardly screams "Epic James Bond 007 50th Aniversary Film" to me. One can argue or even find appeal in a "less is more" approach I suppose, but Dammit, I want a lush, colorful in-your-face with more details than I can take in at a glance type of poster.

Give us some retro 70's (TSWLM or LALD) or 60's (TB or YOLT) stuff chaps.

*note to Eon and more so to Sony/Columbia* Take a look at CBn's Skyfall Fan Art thread and kick your lazy photoshop summer vacation interns to the curb.

Bond and the fans deserve some effort.

I'll leave it at that before I go in to a complete Grandpa Simpson "Back in my day" rant.

That just can't be the final poster. If it's the final poster, then the guys behind the US poster for Licence to Kill are now officially off the hook for the worst Bond poster ever.

Absolutely true, and that's just something we should never have to say about a Bond poster.

I'm not one that's overly enthusiastic about celebrating anniversaries, such as the 50th that Bond is celebrating with Skyfall (I would have just ignored it and pressed on if I were EON, maybe giving a slight tip of the cap to it here and there, but nothing major), but you'd have to think that if they're going to celebrate it, they'd come up with something better than that dreadful poster.

I whole Heatedly agree. I liked the teaser poster as in my opinion it is iconic. I enjoyed the character posters, but the US final sheet is just simply plain. The pose is great, It probably would've worked as a game cover, but as a final poster, no. Perfect for a theater banner or to be on display on the side of a bus. I guess the marketing team though "Less is more"

We deserve something better.

I don't even like the pose, to be honest. There's nothing about the poster to like, in my opinion. It features a bad pose, awkward placement of the credits and title, and just a strange usage of the 007 logo (most of which is blocked by Craig).

Is it the worst poster I've ever seen? No. However, I can't deny it's all around very awkward.

It´s... unexpected. The positioning of everything. I like that.

Also, it´s very simple, clear, unfussy, has a big 007. Nobody will be asking themselves what this film is. Okay, so that´s a good thing.

Is it Bond with a capital B? No, not in a million years. Granted, previous Bond posters were pretty cluttered, putting everything on it to the point of just offering too much. But that was the charme for me. Or am I just too much of a sucker for nostalgia?

Having said that, I DO NOT BELIEVE that this is the final poster.

Don´t they really want to show the female attractions? Or Javier Bardem? Or anything else from the film?

Can´t believe that.

Well, at least I´m still hoping for a different European "final poster".

I suspect we're all still going to watch the film, though.

Bit unsure why he's trying to shoot himself in the foot. Hopefully not a metaphor.

I quite like it. It's unusual.

I look at the photo of Fiennes, and all I see is M.

Aaannnnddd the facebook page just labelled that shot of Craig lying on the ground with the gun as the official US domestic One Sheet. Absolutely terrible.

I looked at the facebook page, and they do NOT say that this is the final poster. Just a NEW poster.

So... all this discussion is absolutely unnecessary.

It is just one more poster - using the banner which we already are familiar with.

Relax, people.

This is NOT the FINAL poster.

I wish they'd hired Drew Struzan to create a 50th anniversary poster. Something painted compared to these Photoshop creations.

Apparently, according to a relatively reliable source there will be another poster coming described as this:
"it has the same background as the teaser poster and London in the background as well James bond in a suit upclose and a gun in his hand "

I don't care if the poster is a pig's bladder nailgunned to the cinema wall. All I care about is the film itself. Screw this ancillary promotional ephemera.

Pig´s bladder nailgunned... ooh, edgy! Different! Courageous, too. But maybe a bit too intellectual? Does it represent Silva´s viewpoint?

Have to say, thus far, the fan art on this site has dropped great swathes of dung all over the creativity shown by the agency involved for their work.

People seem to suggest that calling creativity by what was once an industry standard as 'photoshopped', is the ultimate put down. Were it that Photoshop ever came near the offerings thus far, would have commensurately improved the designs.

Since we are in the business of critiquing product, suffice to say, this last poster seems to plummet to brand new depths of hideous awfulness. Extrapolating the trend, I fear we will go further.

As for the agencies costs, if it were any more than a dollar 98, they would still have been overpaid.

Are they actually from Skyfall or from an advertiser or something? The quality of photography is much higher than anything else we've seen so far.
