So I don't know where the DB5 would fit in.

I don't think it does, just Dan posing with the DB5 for a publicity still, I'd say. Probably one of a series.

Sort of hilarious that they are all Daniel glory shots. The closest thing sharing the lens is the DB5. Bond he is though I suppose.

Is Bond just going around wearing the same suit in this film? Look at the two shots in the underground bunker. The one of him in the chair, he has a beard, and in the one of him standing up, you can tell he's clean shaven. He's wearing the same suit. Bond gets shaved in Macau by Eve, so I assume the second picture takes place in London after Bond returns from Shanghai.

It seems like they are slightly different designs. The color is almost uniform, though. I guess Bond likes to wear grey in London.

I'd say one of them is, the other is Ronson, as Marketto says. Now, was Ronson sent to stop the Turkish businessman selling the disk to Patrice? Or was Ronson selling the disk to the Turkish businessman when Patrice intervenes leaving both for dead?

My theory...

Bond, Eve and Ronson are in a mission: assasinate/interrogate Patrice, or avoid him to do something. Ronson is down, and Bond somehow is chasen by Patrice thugs. Eve aids Bond in the mission until he comes face to face with Patrice and then... "take the bloody shot."

...perhaps we get a glimpse of Silva and him here, right at the start, before Bond walks down the hall and into the light to find the bodies and the disk gone.

I visited the Designing 007: 50 years of James Bond Style at the Barbican today, the last day of the exhibition in London. It was awesome!

Taking pictures inside was forbidden, but i did see Severine's dress for Skyfall, and M's office door. And the Aston Martin DB5, the Skyfall version, which i got a picture with, so i thought it would be relevant to this thread:

The only other explanation I can think of, is that we get some cut-away scenes from London towards the beginning of act one. Patrice reporting to Silva. Didn’t Gassner have sketches of a corridor with air locks and stuff leading to Silva’s office or something like that?

Yet again, I find myself needing to re-study the Gassner videoblog. I can't remember that off the top of my head, but I know there are several parts to the Silva island sets at Pinewood - in addition to the server room and courtyard we've already seen. A scene of the henchman reporting to the villain would be pretty decent. Doesn't feel like we've had a good one of those for ages.

Found it.

At 0:48 we get a look at Gassner's sketchbook. It’s a floor plan of a long narrow set with a series of air lock doors.

Above, is written ‘Int Silva’s Office,’ ‘Computer Room’ and ‘Corridor to Courtyard’ - But I don’t think this set is intended to be any of those three, I think they refer to rooms that are adjacent to this.

Judging by the other annotations (‘Computer Banks Below’) this set is intended to be high above the 'Computer Room'. I would think it leads to the lift that Silva is seen stepping out of in the trailer.

Now we either get shots of Silva walking down this set before entering the lift as part of the build-up to his first encounter with Bond or it’s for something else, which would have to be for a scene earlier in the film, as they do not go back.

Stick with me here… as Bond has only just arrived on the island and the annotations also mention ‘Silva’s office’, I’d say the cut-away from London to show Patrice meeting Silva towards the beginning of act one idea, has some credibility.
