Looks like a tower block in Shanghai? Certainly has that neon/techno feel to it seen from the trailers. Looks like we're looking down to the angle where Patrice takes a tumble.

Not bad...not bad at all.

Thanks Marketto! Great shots.

Doesn't Silva look really creep there...another 'Joker' vibe - menacing and teasing with the power he knows he has.

My issue of Empire FINALLY arrived and it's a smashing read! I've uploaded my three favourite pics from the article, taken with a 16 megapixel camera so they're *slightly* better quality.

Brilliant! Thanks Marketto!

We haven't had that many 'official' pics released have we? By which I mean, not Magazine scans etc.

Nice one guys, thanks for the scans/pics. I reckon we've had... mayb 8 - 10 official pictures from the film released? Not including posters etc. All of the same usual sequences though.

Not being picky, Craig sure looks a little funny on that Esquire cover - it looks his face has been squashed inwards!

There's nothing really new in it. But it does include a bit of dialogue from what they call the 'Dead City' scene.

SEVERINE:
They abandoned it almost overnight. He made them think it was a leak at the chemical plant. It's amazing what panic you can cause with a single computer. He wanted the island. So he took it.

BOND:
Does he always get what he wants?

SEVERINE:
More than you know.

It seems almost as if Silva is being set up as an anti-Q rather than an anti-Bond. The two characters have almost identical powers : both can create mayhem by hacking into faraway computer systems. Is it possible that Silva used to be the MI6 quartermaster, and that Whishaw is his replacement? Is this why Whishaw's character is so prominent? Could this be one of the big "hooks" we've been hearing about?

How prominent is Whishaw? We know he's at the National Gallery, and then the MI6 bunker, but that's pretty much it, right?

The impression i get from reading the article, in terms of technology, is a Silva VS Q standoff.

Q is said to be more of a hacker and computer genius than gadget expert in this one. "There are surprisingly few gadgets now" Whishaw says.
The article also states that Q appears in more than one scene, so it is implied that at some point Q has to use his computer smarts to outwit/prevent Silva from doing something.

It seems almost as if Silva is being set up as an anti-Q rather than an anti-Bond. The two characters have almost identical powers : both can create mayhem by hacking into faraway computer systems. But i just don't agree with Pussfella's theory, it;s just a bit too much to swallow for me, Silva having been a Quartermaster in the past.

Interestingly, the article also teases that the "pay attention 007" line from Q is in Skyfall, but said in a different way:

'But does Whishaw say the line? Will we hear him nagging 007 to pay attention? Whishaw laughs. "Everbody's been asking me that! But no. We deliberately avoided it- at least using those exact words." '

My guess is that Bond gets distracted during the London sequence when he's chasing Silva, and Bond is doing his own thing, and Q is telling him to do another. The "Pay attention" line, will be said seriously, as Q tells Bond to remain focused.

A very good guess and a good interpretation of Whishaw's cryptic comment. And we'll soon see. I'm almost sick with excitement. If Skyfall is a major success i wouldn't be surprised if Mendes directs Bond 24. He said it himself he's up for doing another one.

I think Q plays a major role in the underground sequence beneath London.

Looks like that stuatue behind Bond in the last picture above is of Daniel Craig himself! Got the perfect scowl and hairline to boot. Now that's an Easter Egg!

:P

Thanks for the updated pics Marketto, they look great. Love the Severine/Bond one. Very classy.

Y'know that scene in From Russia with Love, near the start, when Grant is following Tatters through the backstreets prior to her meeting Klebb. Grey suit, dark tie. Istanbul. Now, I'm not one of those poor shrieking lunatics that bang on about Mr Craig's appearance but, y'know, that photo on the bike, the location, and especially that garb, it's quite redolent. Happily so. Reminiscent.

Any news on the Empire subscribers issue cover?

I'm a subscriber and i just got the same one that's on the shelves in stores. No Subscriber cover this time round by the looks of things.

Also, i just came back from seeing The Bourne Legacy (disappointing and riddled with exposition), when i saw this! Made the trip worth it, so i snapped it with my iPhone :D I know there have already been other pics of this but you can never have too much Bond, can you...
