Is this Bond in the front seat?

Kinda looks like Craig. A bit like Fiennes, too.

Yeah, it does, doesn't it.

Oh look, there's Dench cheekily poking out of the back. Just noticed her.

If it's all from the same sequence, than on I don't think it's Bond. The other pics of Craig we've seen have him in casual clothing. Those two men are attired in suits.

The point is: who is supposed to be sitting on that chair? Dench? Finney? Fiennes?

Obviously we've only seen scraps so far but the vibe I'm getting at the moment is definitely 'gritty'. Not a problem for me but from all the publicity talk of 'Classic Bond' I was expecting something more in the mould of TSWLM.

Think this is an alternative MI6 HQ (note the chair behind the table and then the chair on the opposite side...maybe where we get a traditional briefing?). Takes place at night, that much we know. As for scene 53, that's about 20 minutes into the film, right?

New (official) photo!

In the spirit of pure speculation, I'll venture... Q labs? Underground at SIS headquarters. That would be sweet.

Also, I notice it's being shot on 35mm film. Was Quantum shot digitally? I just assumed the Bond films would be by now. I'm glad it's not!

That's Rory Kinnear (Bill Tanner) on the front passenger seat and a non-recogniseable driver (nearest/dark hair). It looks to me like M, Bill Tanner and her driver. Some of the other photographs show an official building exterior with armed private security.. could that be MI6 hq?

A totally unimportant but nevertheless interesting detail: in the clapperboard, the F of Skyfall is no longer capitalized.

It never was. That was a widespread misapprehension based on the font used in the logo.

Indeed, Pussfeller.

Deakins has confirmed that the film will be shot digitally. The 35mm apparently refers to a 35mm lens on the digital camera.

Aha, thanks for clearing that up. Would have been a nice touch though, as opposed to obvious homages, to shoot it more old-school.

Kind of looks like the Siena set in QUANTUM OF SOLACE.

That's precisely what I was thinking. The very same juxtaposition of rough-hewn, Hitlerbunkerisch quarters with snazzy office appointments. I wouldn't be surprised if this were M's redoubt somewhere beneath London. It takes place at night, fairly early in the film, so presumably it corresponds to the aftermath of the daytime scenes which were the first to be filmed. The ones with Dame Judi and Rory Calhoun.

Yeah, I think underground car park at St. Bart's will be the entry to an access tunnel. The graffiti-covered tunnel walls will probably lead to the underground bunker, which is what we're seeing in that clapperboard shot. There is talk of it being a medical laboratory, but I think that will simply be a Cold War-era feature, an infirmary and the ability to hermetically seal the bunker, features that were put in place in the event of a chemical or biological attack since the bunker would be housing senior government and intelligence personnel). I'm willing to bet that the grotty public toilet will be some kind of "Get Smart"-style means of opening the bunker. Alternatively, the graffiti and the grime are probably intentional, to cover up the presence of the bunker with urban blight. In that case, the toilet could be opposite the bunker entry. I'm still banking on the London scenes featuring Bond trying to beat M to the bunker because he works out and ambush is waiting; the toilet could serve as a staging point for that ambush.

It's only one shot, and a lot of it is obscured, but I like this set. It reminds me of the Siena safehouse, which looked fantastic, but also felt very much like a set. I had a hard time believing that it was an underground cistern that had simply been converted by MI6. This one looks like something that was built during the Cold War and has been maintained ever since.

From last nights Children in Need Charity event. This is just to show the amount of stubble he has right now, which is not very much IMO - less then in the PC I think.

It was recorded, but I do believe, its rather recent, if not from yesterday. Weren't those even life recordings?..

QUANTUM OF SOLACE was shot on Super35 film, with some fx on digital.

Daniel Craig films scenes for the new James Bond movie, Skyfall, in Trafalgar Square on Saturday (November 19) in London, England.

The 43-year-old British actor reprises his role as 007 in the Sam Mendes-directed flick, which also stars Javier Bardem as the villain.

“It, I think, has all the elements of a classic Bond movie, including, to quell any rumours, a lot of action,” Sam said during a recent press conference.

Though he was tight-lipped on details, Sam shared that British actor Ben Whishaw “will be playing a part I can’t tell you about … and Albert Finney, who will also be playing a part I can tell you nothing about in scenes that I can’t really tell you about and Ralph Fiennes, who, similarly, I can give you very little information about.”
