On topic: Am I wrong to assume teaser posters usually come before teaser trailers? I feel like websites always have at least a poster to accompany a new released trailer?

Good point.
I'm not sure but it does seem to make the most sense, who would be interested in a poster after seeing the trailer first, besides us Bond fans?
I didn't even think about the poster I've been so jazzed up to see the trailer soon.
If we are getting the trailer with MIB3 then does this mean we can expect a teaser poster shortly or at least before May 25th or the trailer release?

Question? WHY DON'T YOU UPDATE THE NEWS FRONT PAGE BEFORE BANNING SOMEBODY THAT HAS KEPT US UPDATED WITH THE WORLD OF SKYFALL?

Kind regards,

Nic

I offered to do it for free, but I'm not sure why they won't let me. It's not really necessary, though. It just gives the website more personality.

Hardly the big picture now is it? It has been repeated many a time that this board doesn't have the capacity to constantly update the front page. Because this is an internet site... and we have busy lives. To further show the irrelevance of caps lock in this situation, if CBn updated the front page with the content in question a front page or a CBn would cease to exist. Bit of a non sequitur don't you think?

MI6-hq.com updates the front site AND it has a board. So does Univex, BondMovies etc.
Okay, we all have busy lifes.
CBn is losing it's glow since 2008. No front page updates. Constant aggresion to the ones who think differently to others. Undiscriminated bans.

But you could just erase the "compromising" pic... not baning Marketto without notice, deleting all his posts after all he did for us.

"There's a usable four letter word... and you're full of it."

Putting our friendship aside Nicolas, and as my duty as a moderator, I have to say that you're skating on very thin ice here. If you want to insult the CBn team, do it somewhere else, and not right under our noses. Also, if you wish to be sarcastic and use a Bond quote to vent your opinion, then atleast get it right. It's 'useful' not 'usable.'

Anyway, I can confirm that a massive update is being planned for CBn, we're going to have a new homepage, and reguarly updated news. Naturally, some members have been informed and are soon to be upgraded to mod status. I'll probably get in trouble for actually telling you this, but the fact that it's becoming a topic of annoying debate between members I felt it was my duty to inform you all. Now, this is a thread for the filming on Skyfall, not a bitching thread. Now stay on topic.

...given the disregard to the incident with the call sheets, does anyone really believe a quiet word would actually have worked?

Yes.

About the forum policy, I agree with it. I was here in 02. I remember. About making exceptions founded in character alone...why the hell not? Isn´t that what character is for? He deserved it considering the good he has done to this site. Did he do wrong? Yes. Was he stupid in doing so? Probably. Did that wrong overshadow his good actions and friendship? Apparently. Did that wrong overshadow his good character? Appartently. And why? Urge to enforce the law of the land? No tolerance policy? Please, that´s ridiculous IMO.

Oh well, I don´t want to rant anymore. It´s just too bad we lost such a good friend here. My opinion is nano here so please, do let the world turn as if everything was normal once again. I won´t forget this. Many others won´t I´m sure.

That´s good to hear Harkers. Now if only some banned members were on a temporary ban and could be alowed to come back on a tight leash?...
Oh well, enough advocating. You´re right. Back on topic.

If there is a zero tolerance with regard to actions that will shut this site down, there cannot be any exceptions regardless of how well liked and the length of time said person was on this board. If anything it is shame on that person who is not a rookie, but knew the score and was willing to over step the mark anyway presumably banking on the moderators to turn a blind eye.

The eagerness displayed to be the first with the scoop to satiate the appetites of those who see nothing wrong in filching doesn’t say much about those now bleating about the ban when it comes to the integrity of this forum.

Since posting on here is a privilege and not a right, I’m not sure why there is animosity towards those trying to keep the site up and running. Instead of dissing the site owners and moderators, how about offering some support and moving forward or, if this is such a s—t hole finding another site that doesn’t mind you flouting their rules.

I am curious about SKYFALL. If there are news about it I want to know. I want to discuss them with Bond fans on this forum.

What I am not interested in are constantly pirated videos catching a glimpse of the third cousin of an extra, having coffee in walking distance from the set.

I also am not interested in seeing all the stuff that is not authorized by EON or SONY and could get this site shut down. Why? Am I not curious? Am I not a true fan breathing in every snippet that in some way could give me an impression of the film months before it is finished?

No. I just think that this whole "film everything that is connected to the shooting of the actual movie"-hysteria has reached a point at which it is just as ridiculous and unnecessary as a paparazzi video of any c-grade celebrity announcing that they have a topless breakfast in a whirl pool with the almost winner of Big Brother´s second season.

Also, why do people complain about banning content or the people who brought it (knowing well that it would get them banned or ignoring it) if that sort of stuff certainly will get this site terminated?

Let´s stick to the stuff that actually presents solid news. Something that is actually worth discussing.

Exciting developments Mharkin, I look forward to seeing how it all develops and pans out! We'll be right here waiting as obsessed dedicated fans! B)

Is it just Turkey left in the 'Skyfall' shoot now then, everything else done? I hope this leads to a new publicity shot or the teaser poster soon this month to accompany the teaser trailer...oh goodness, that's out this month isn't it?! Woo-hoo!!

I think there's more work to be done in Pinewood, but I believe Turkey's the final "location" shoot, though I could be wrong.

As filming should be done by the end of this month.......and we should get a teaser poster/trailer......some news about Bond music and who is the singer..........too

I still curious what the final final scene of the movie is like.......I think it something we did not see as it is more than likely to be filmed at pinewood or another disclosed location

Ah, Pinewood is good enough for me then.

So in total, has this been about approx. a 7 month shoot? They started in November, after the press conference and still going now through to June?

That's a monster of a packed schedule for them to slog through, but I also think we've done blinding work following it so much from the start!

I pray they have re-shot the gunbarrel sequence, just for my own reasoning of thinking the 'Quantum' one could have been far better, less rushed and more steady.

But only time will tell on this one...!

As I said in this thread, I don't think the QoS gunbarrel was that bad, the only problem was that it was too fast and the blood at the end.

For some reason the gun barrel was speeded up in QoS, making Craig move strangely.
They will want to reshoot it, if for nothing else but Skyfall is being shot digitally and QoS was not.

The problem with that one (and Brosnan's before it) is that the gunbarrel opening itself is far too big, which means it gets to the centre of the frame before the Bond theme can play out properly.

That doesn’t help, together with the image moving at an artificially accelerated speed in QoS. Also, the deeper gun barrel with a smaller spot looks so much cooler.

Why was that speeded up, I wonder? Was Craig's original pace too slow, docile? Did they perhaps overdo the acceleration? Or was that a deliberate effect Forster wanted for that???

It seems that Forster wanted everything to move “like a bullet from a gun” regardless of how foolish that ended up looking. It gives Craig a silent-movie-comedy walk. When left to his own devices, Craig moves very well.

I don't know what came first...the music or the gunbarrel.

Straight away, the dots move too fast they nearly fudge into one long blur, Craig is in a hurry and the blood just falls down, no grace to it.

But then again the music just blares out loud and fast, sounding a rushed Bond theme job. It's probably not rushed, but that use of the theme is just too fast. Arnold always did I feel, towards the end, speed up the Bond theme to some big action score, rather than a bit slower, more edgier, thriller-esque musical number.

They both compliment eachother as a rush job IMO!

I wouldn't think so, if you look at the original gunbarrels, Bond's walk is very leisurely until he turns and shoots.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=anQJryRL_N8
Brosnan's gunbarrel walk seems to be just as fast as Craig's in QoS

Criag has a walk that's very...I can't place it...it just looks unnatural and like he's speed walking?

Brosnan has a very strong walk, long strides but he carries it off perfectly and turns super smooth. He's got one of the best gunbarrel walks, next to Roger Moore's latter ones and Timothy Dalton.

That’s because the camera has been under-cranked or it’s been speeded-up in post-production, it’s nothing to do with the way Craig actually walks.

Truly foolish decision to temper with the speed. Bond's not The Flash. An ordinary pace would have worked far better for that piece of footage.
