Do you need to react at all, though?

If one forum member has the right to express an opinion, then every forum member has the right to agree, disagree or abstain as they see fit.

I'm not convinced it's that subjective a criterion.

What are you expecting me to say? That I don't need to post? If I don't need to post, then why does any member need to post at all?

Seems like a sensible way of moderating one's own behaviour, certainly.

I'm sorry, but I'm not certain what I've done wrong, aside from post at an hour that was appropriate for me to post. If you look at the timestamps, it's not like I was posting that two minutes after Major Tallon. It was closer to forty-five minutes, and in that time, I double-checked to make sure that Fleming actually did write Bond's flat as being at Wellington Square, searched for any substantial news that the scenes shot at Cadogan Square were indeed intended to be Bond's flat, and used Google Maps to work out where Wellington and Cadogan were in relation to one another. So I'm a little bemused as to why I'm the bad guy, simply because I took the time to construct an actual argument. Especially considering that, at the time of my disagreeing with Tallon's post, I had only posted twice in this thread in the space of twenty-four hours. Or is this because I read Tallon's post as a criticism of EON for not shooting at Wellington Square? If so, please: tell me how else I am supposed to read it. I don't see any other way of reading it.

If anybody here is in the wrong, it's Mharkin, for jumping down my thoat when all I did was take the time to construct and present a case for disagreeing with Tallon, and then posed it in the forum of a question (actually several of them) so that he could reply and I could maybe understand why he felt that way. It would have been a problem if I had said "no, you're wrong, go away". But I didn't do that at all. I'm sorry, but I haven't done anything wrong here. And I'm beginning to feel like I'm being judged based on the content of my posts in other threads rather than the content of the post I made. At least when I posted, I made a case based on the content of the post I was replying to, and not the person posting it.

All I'm doing is reading his post, and looking at the language used.

But please be tolerant in doing so. In my case I don't use my native language in this forum. That's why I can't express myself in the way I'd love to.

The gentleman in question appears to be an Irish radio presenter, so I figure he's filming something to do with that, and it's an unrelated documentary.

Beautiful day in London, but sadly can't make it to Westminster or Whitehall today. Hopefully someone else can...

I'd wager they're using Pall Mall/The Mall as a unit base again, and the real action is around Parliament Square or Whitehall.

They appear not to recall that Bond's flat is in Wellington Square.

1) Where has it been confirmed that Bond's flat will feature in the film?
2a) Is it really so critical that the film depicts the flat as being in Wellington Square as opposed to Cadogan Square?
2b) How does having Bond's flat in Cadogan Square instead of Wellington affect the quality of the film?
3) Cadogan Square is just 470 metres from Wellington, so do you really think anyone - outside Fleming purists with an intimate knowledge of London geography within a quarter-mile radius of Knightsbridge - is going to notice the difference if Cadogan Square is presented as Wellington?

Aw, c'mon, Captain Tightpants I intended it as a lighthearted remark, not a serious complaint. I'm excited for the new film and having fun with the various revelations we've seen about it. If you took serious offense at my little comment, I humbly and profoundly apologize.

I did hear on the radio that there's congestion around the Rotherhithe tunnel due to filming today. No idea if it's Mr Bond or not.

Please stop being such a dick. I'm tired of the way your aggression derails these otherwise fun threads.
You're wrong: you annoy people: end of. Don't bother arguing with Jim about it. On other forums I go to moderation isn't to be discussed and you'd get a temporary ban for it; shame they don't do that here in your case.

I'm not going to argue with you about this, incidentally: unlike you I'm not looking for an argument. Don't bother replying.

Just seen this post on Tumblr.

So I spent today showing London to a girl from the same program as me who came down for The Woman in Black last night from Scotland. After the play another kid from the program who I’d met on my second day here but goes to a different college suggested we show her around on her only day in London. So, we were walking around and these guys in official looking jackets with walkie talkies were like telling us sidewalk people to keep walking or wait at the bus stop ahead of us or else it’ll look like we’re staring into the camera and we were like huh? And looked across the street to see a camera crew and a bunch of on lookers and we were like what’s the film? And one of the official “location marshalls” was like. James Bond. and we were like. heart attack. So there is a .03% chance you can see me walking down the sidewalk in the latest James Bond movie that I didn’t even know they were making. But in all honestly you probably won’t see me because they probably weren’t filming yet because I’m lucky like that :(

But still. we just accidentally happened upon the filming of a James Bond movie. What is my life right now? That’s seriously cool. Even if it was most likely just b-roll footage and no famous people were probably around. And the further down we walked the more it was obvious a movie was being made because there were camera vans and local police were directing the traffic and there were cars stopped that we suspected were purposely waiting for their cue to drive for the footage.

It was totally boss. So I’m happy with my day. Also. I got fish and chips for lunch which is always awesome and I called Coleman and asked where the place that ruined hot chocolate for me on my first day in London was and got some of that heavenly stuff. And also, we kept happening upon interesting stuff going down everywhere we went (like there was a parade in front of Backingham Palace for like. no reason.. that I know of lol).
And then we helped Katie buy her ticket to King’s Cross and now I’m back at my flat kinda cold and sleepy and ready to clean my room and relax before I start cooking dinner and start on some “homework.”

Astonishing that people actually insert the word "like" in the pauses of their sentences. I wonder what happened to the English language. Admittedly, my frustrations about that are not relevant here obviously.

Thanks for posting.

http://www.imdb.com/...t/195108153?p=1

They filmed at Waterloo first thing, then Parliment Square and Whitehall late morning. Sam Mendes came along with Judi Dench to shoot a very small scene and he didnt like the lighting of the earlir footage so they had to reshoot the Waterloo/Parliment Square parts.

Nothing too exciting, Just a bunch of cars driving around, one of which had Judi Denches character in it. Her double did most of the work though, as you couldnt really see through the windows.

I also saw Rory Kinnear at the base, but I didnt see what he filmed. There was a car with a camera mounted to the side, so I assume he was in that shot with Judi that Sam Mendes directed.

From what I heard from the crew, Daniel was at Pinewood filming in the big water tanks, supposedly for a scene set in Shanghai, but don't quote me on that one.

Heres some pics, nothing too excting I'm afraid.

They appear not to recall that Bond's flat is in Wellington Square.

Fleming never actually said it was Wellington Sq. John Pearson came up with that one for the ‘Biography’ based on the general description and directions in the Fleming novels.

It’s as good a choice as any, but Fleming described a bay window and none of the buildings in Wellington Sq have bay windows.
Others have said it must be Markham Sq or even Royal Avenue.
So, I think it’s just as legitimate for the filmmakers to use Cadogan Sq.
