I'm just wondering how established our Bond will be to being the BOND we know, and that's mainly from the production side of things, like will we hear the Bond music during exciting action sequences, will we have the "Bond, James Bond" intro and some womanising?

I think if these elements are included, then Bond can be BOND, and even evolve some more after the end of 'Skyfall'. Here's hoping, anyway!

I'm guessing that since the Vesper/Quantum/revenge arc is closed for now, i'd say we will be treated to the Bond music during the action sequences etc.

He's Bond now, and from what we've heard about the shoot so far, the 'classic' elements are back in. We'll get the 'Bond...James Bond' we'll get the womanising (that Greek beauty) and the gunbarrel will be back where it belongs!

Yes, and all that could be quite coherent with... a new Bond in Bond 24.

It would well and truly fly in the face of the producer's good sentiment. And Craig's latest comment of "I will keep going until they tell me to stop". They don't want him to stop any time soon.

Biggest thing I'm praying for is the gunbarrel opening...NOT the rushed 'QOS' job!

Just read IGN.com's set visit preview. Apparently there is also an abandoned Japanese island town in the film. Really interesting.

The abandoned Japanese island town is really interesting indeed. No idea how that could fit in. My first thought was the You Only Live Twice novel, but I think it's probably something completely different.

Maybe it's radioactive because of Operation Skyfall?

For some reason the Japanese town kind of reminded me of the nuclear testing ground from Indiana Jones 4. Maybe it's post-bombed?

And what about this:

"Kincaide, played by Albert Finney — is fond of old-fashioned English firearms. Think of 19th Century percussion pistols and a very powerful elephant gun that fires .500 Nitro Express cartridges"

Yes. Precisely what is Kincade? We know a little bit. Elderly, Scottish name, closely associated with Skyfall Lodge. There were reports that he was very strangely attired. Now slashfilm says he's some sort of antiquarian armaments buff. Assuming he's some sort of ex-military eccentric, what is his connection to the lodge, to Bond, and to the plot? Is he a paid caretaker? A relative or acquaintance of the Bond family? An acquaintance of M? Whatever he is, it sounds like there will be an old-timey gun collection.

Don't call it that. If you're going to start a thread, simply call it "So Who Is...?"

Maybe because of the Fukushima nuclear disaster?

According to Comingsoon.net the ghost town is located on Hashima Island in Japan. Very likely it could fit in somewhere between scenes 70 -120 after the Macau events. No ideas how it is related to the plot for now.

That looks dreadfully amazing. Wasn´t Tightpants that suggested at some point that they´d use Kowloon city? It´s as good as, in this case, I think.

Just read this on another site about Finney's character: " What you see in a couple of the images below is the emphasis on guns rather than gadgets, but what you don’t see about the gunplay is that one of the characters — Kincaide, played by Albert Finney — is fond of old-fashioned English firearms. Think of 19th Century percussion pistols and a very powerful elephant gun that fires .500 Nitro Express cartridges. We don’t know how those come into play, but next week we’ll start to explain a couple of the big locations and setpieces you can expect to see when Skyfall opens in the US on November 9."

Now that´s what I call an interesting character! Can´t wait to see him.

Great photo`s of Bond with the DB5 and Fiennes with the pistol, makes you wonder.

Maybe it's radioactive because of Operation Skyfall?

It reminds me of Universal Soldier Regeneration when some terrorists take over Chernobyl and threaten to detonate it.

For some reason the Japanese town kind of reminded me of the nuclear testing ground from Indiana Jones 4. Maybe it's post-bombed?

And I don`t think anyone would see it as nuking the fridge.

Wicked photo of Bond with the machine gun, maybe its a scene that features Namoi`s weapon training. Is that Skyfall Lodge?

Nice one, Luigi. So, it's a real place, then. http://theincredible.../09/battleship/

Its kind of like the island with the abandoned resort in the movie The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou, in the sneak attack scene. I once posted that DAD should have featured the Hotel of Doom while in North Korea. There are some cool top 10 lists of abandoned places online. http://www.thecoolis...l-modern-ruins/

That is an interesting photo of Bond stocking Severine. Kincaide seems like a cowboy. Great Bond news today and to come!

"New "M" Ralph Fiennes and Bond shooting it out at Downing Street No.10 after 007 finds out that "old M" had been killed by brainwashed 008 Javier Bardem in order of Fiennes who turns out to be Ernst Stavro Blofeld."

Just found this hilarious comment about the new Mallory and Bond pics ;)
Would have been a nice twist!

I can't help but think some how Bond and M's past some how intertwine. M is Bond's mother, M had Tracey killed, M had Bonds parents killed, etc. Am I over thinking it.

I sincerely hope so. I'd find it hard for any of those suggestions to be handled in a credible way. (Plus there is no Tracy in the history of Daniel Craig's Bond.)

So many theories for this...a thinking man's Bond film perhaps. The links we're trying to find between Judi Dench, Javier Bardem, Ralph Fiennes and Daniel Craig is immense...I wonder how this will tie up.

Who will be in deals with who and who has links to whos past...?!
