Maybe so far - we only got a few seconds of his performance. Also - he could very intentionally not sound elegantly evil.

Henry Cavill is Superman

Just seen the General Zod TV spot on UK TV and it's even creepier when you're not totally expecting it. Such a different style of marketing, it's brilliant!

New EMPIRE covers this month...looking super, man:
Love the duality of these two Kryptonians.
And from Supes's cover, seems he returns to Smallville for a big dose of action too, not just set in Metropolis!
Sorry, I think I've got a man-crush on Henry Cavill as Superman in that shot! He's nailed the look!

I've never really been a Superman fan but this trailer really got my attention, I think its spectacular, splendid and to quote Tracey Morgan; "I want to take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant." But in all seriousness I wonder if it will match up to the original 4 films or rather if we'll get 4 Man Of Steel films.

Haha! Glad you enjoyed it S K Y F A L L.
I think this will easily eclipse the Superman we know from 'Superman III', 'Superman IV' and 'Superman Returns'.
Obviously I think 'Superman: The Movie' and 'Superman II', you can't touch as they were truly iconic, memorable and brilliant with lots of cult moments.
I do hope this can continue for a sequel, as if our new Batman could do a trilogy, there's nothing stopping our new Superman in the right hands.

Despite the hilarious face Cavill gives, the poster isn't bad. It's much better than the teaser poster.

Am I supposed to be truly blown away by it with his overly-serious face that is just too funny for me?
Anticipation Level - 0

Well it's better than any face I'd pull if I was flying across a city at the speed of sound!

Hey, for that I guess even Ace´s anticipation level would go through the roof!

Exactly, having an opinion appears to be a problem. One of the reasons why I'm not going to be on CBn much longer.

hey woah I didn't mean to attack you at all, I was saying that you're opinion wasn't going to sway them, that's all I meant by my comment.

If I may?
Ace, I disagreed with you many times on the same point - you constantly stating that you were not impressed by anything concerning MAN OF STEEL, me stating the opposite.
I also always tried to have a sensible conversation with you on this, always stressing the fact that I respect your opinion.
Iceskater has visited this thread - like I did - because of excitement around MAN OF STEEL. If people like us read the same negativity you hold against MAN OF STEEL again and again, you must admit that you are inviting somebody to say that your negativity will not influence their opinions.
To conclude that you having an opinion is a problem at CBn is wrong.
Because other people, like Iceskater and me for example, also have an opinion. It just happens to the the opposite of yours.
I just don´t know why you continue to visit this particular thread, always saying you find everything about MAN OF STEEL ridiculous or unimpressive, with your anticipation level at zero. This is like the people from the danielcraigisnotjamesbond-site getting on a thread with people being excited about Daniel Craig as James Bond, then after getting mocked respectfully concluding that having an opinion is obviously a problem on the whole board.
Let me say it again, Ace: your opinion is as welcome as any one else´s.
But on a message board stating an opinion will invite others to chime in with theirs. Very often an opinion will be debated. Don´t feel insulted by that.

Come on everyone - Superman brings us all together, one way or another!
For the anticipators, a new TV spot is out and I'm really looking forward to seeing more of Zod, Superman (obviously) but also I think Kevin Costner and Russell Crowe are going to really stand out in their roles - Costner especially...

What's cool about Henry Cavill from what I see so far is: He's Superman, not Henry playing Superman. Brandon Routh never embodied Superman for me.
