Yes. How do you blow a goat? And how do you know?

All very good questions, but use your imagination and you can provide your own answers. Obviously Snyder lost some kind of bet here and had to cast him, because let's agree to agree, Kevin Costner sucketh, as Shakespeare no doubt would have put it. Stay classy, CBn.

I love the posters. If only SF had the same quality.
I'm a Costner fan as well. Not all his films are great but whose is?

Well I myself love Costner and think he's a fine actor - loved him in 'Robin Hood Prince Of Theives', 'No Way Out' and 'A Perfect World'.
Was chuffed he was one of the first big names to star in this and think he'll do brilliantly.

I suppose you don´t consider giving any reason for your assessment?

Based on the cogent arguments offered above, I'll just have to change my opinion. I had no idea there were so many Costner fans out there! Warms my black little heart, really. To think that someone actually regards his acting as brilliant and that Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves is a good film. Well I'll just pop a couple of crazy pills and join the bandwagon! (Of course it looks like he dies a painful death in this film so I'll enjoy small victories.)

Woaaahh let's not get into spoiler mode here! I ain't ready for that! No word on any of their fates please, regardless of what we think from comics/movies!
And how can you not love 'Prince Of Thieves'? It's not Costner's fault they cast him as an English outlaw... still a rockin' swashbuckler film though!
And we have a new TV spot, a good one too! Seems there will be, what looks like, almost near physical interaction with Clark and Jor-El...and this looks very emotional too, for a Superman film, he seems to feel every emotion in these trailers! And if the music used will be the new Superman theme I will be VERY happy, I love how epie/triumphant it sounds!

Well they shouldn't have put it in the trailer then. Pretty sure Costner gets squashed like a bug; a slow and squishy death scene is forthcoming I hope.
Well since I'm now a Costner fan and I've got all this time on my hands before June 14 Supes, do you recommend I pick up 3000 Miles to Graceland or Waterworld at the vid store this afternoon? Yiiiipeeeeee

How about JFK, A PERFECT WORLD and THIRTEEN DAYS?

Agh! I totally forgot 'JFK' and 'Thirteen Days' - his best work are thrillers for sure. 'A Perfect World' was one of the first films to make me cry... yeah, I admit it!
A squishy death?! What trailer did you see? I never picked up on that! Now... play nice!
(I recommend 'Waterworld')

I think I've seen some of 'A Perfect World' when I was young and didn't like it but I was about 7 years old I think and probably didn't understand it.
From what I've seen of Costner's films I feel
Field Of Dreams
Dances With Wolves
Water World
Mr. Brooks
The New Daughter
Company Man
are worth a watch.
The Untouchables
No Way Out
Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves
JFK
Thirteen Days
are just good films IMO. I've seen them many times and with the commentaries.
I look forward to both his roles in the Jack Ryan film and spin-off with Tom Hardy. From what I saw from the Man of Steel trailer, I look forward to seeing him in that too.

You guys are crackin' me up over here. I'm laughing my butt off as I just realized you guys are serious. I thought you were trollin', you know, yankin' my chain to see if you could get me to snap. But it turns out you REALLY do like Kevin Costner. You guys live in Canada and the UK, right? Maybe that's it. Like Jerry Lewis in France!
Costner has one expression and he's not very good at that one anymore. I wouldn't say he coasted through everything over the years; I actually really like him in Silverado. Hey, if I could make millions of dollars playing myself on the big screen I'd do it in a heartbeat. Goodonya, Kev.
If those flicks listed above are your cup o tea (and you're not just trying to spool me up), you might like movies from this short list:
Speed 2
Superbabies: Baby Geniuses 2
Who's Your Caddy?
Anything with Keanu Reeves
GIgli
Troll 2
Superman III+
Dirty Dancing 2: Flipped Over and Done Dry
Battlefield Earth
Stay thirsty, my friends...

Was really hoping for a sense of humor over on this thread. I enjoy you guys. How about getting back on thread about the Superman reboot, which looks awesome? Any other non-Supe fans who think this looks like the movie of the summer?

I'm not really what you'd call a Superman fan, not since the late 1970s. Before I was drawn to the comics because of some of the more bizarre stories and drawings, ca. 1974 to 1979. But the character itself to me always was too omnipotent, too strong and superior. I was always more the Batman/Spider-Man fan, though I saw and liked the first two films with Christopher Reeves.
This one I'll probably see because of the new approach and Cavill. I'm a bit undecided about Nolan's involvement, not sure if it's a good idea.

Nicolas Winding Refn's latest film and it's my number one most anticipated film of 2013. Check out the trailer on YouTube.
I'm a bit undecided about Nolan's involvement, not sure if it's a good idea.
That's one of the reasons I'm a bit weary about it. The only thing that's keeping me at bay and slightly interested is Zack Snyder directing.

Yes, but It's still not going to stop me from seeing it. Truth is, I rarely ever listen, in fact, I don't listen to what a critic has to say. It's opinions and differences. Not to mention I (my opinion) think Cannes is somewhat biased. I'll be at the theater to see it on July 19th.

I also take critics (especially those from festivals) not too seriously. But the trailer made me worry about the same things these critics hated: a razor-thin plot, violence to the extreme, just an exercise in style. And Ryan Gosling not even bothered to attend the premiere.
However, I must admit that I was underwhelmed by DRIVE as well. So maybe this is just not my cup of tea.

It reminds me of those Kung-Fu action films from like the 80's in terms of the visual aspect and the action. I liked Refn's Bronson, but was severely underwhelmed by Drive, but I blame on the fact that the screenwriter did a piss-poor job of adapting the book.

Why isnt it June 14th now?! I cannot wait to see this!
Also like the toys! But they could've done better on the movie master line. If only the knees on the 3.75 inch figures could bend they'd be perfect!

Interesting. Is Clark able to contact Jor-El via a strange time machine/comlink device? Or is this just a picture of Cavill being present when Crowe´s scenes were filmed?
And will Clark actually be seen working for the Daily Planet? So far there are no pictures/trailer scenes with him in glasses and suit. Maybe the film will end with him as reporter - CLARK KENT BEGINS-like?
