I had an idea that Bond could get trapped in a tsunami following his killing of Blofeld and that's how he would wind up in enemy hands which would lead directly into "TMWTGG".

How about right now! Here's the skijoring bit, I think a quip is needed somewhere but I can't quite figure one out. AVTAK did all the horsey puns already!

ST. MORITZ

Bond removes his skis as he arrives on the outskirts of the village. He looks around for a phone booth, and spots one...but one of Blofeld's goons is standing guard by it. Looking around even more, he spots Blofeld and Bunt ordering their men to search the village for Bond. Blofeld pulls out a large electronic device and we hear him say he's activated the cellphone jammer (they didn't have this problem in 1969!)

Bond joins an excited group of people heading through the village, and passes by the guards unnoticed. Yaroslav eyes the group suspiciously and follows, Bond trying to keep his head down. The people arrive at a grandstand set up for the White Turf skijoring festival; the main race of the event is about to begin. Bond takes a seat in the stands as Yaroslav and other goons fan out, looking for him and blocking the exits.

As the race starts, Yaroslav yells - he's spotted Bond. Bond jumps up and onto the skijoring course. Yaroslav is right behind him; he fires his gun at Bond, missing. The crowd panics and several of the horses rear up, causing chaos in the race. Confused horses and riders are running in all directions as Bond makes his way across the icy track. One goon gets trampled by a horse; Blofeld watches this from the stand and laughs. Seizing an opportunity, Bond grabs a passing horse and unhooks the rider/sleigh, and rides off across the track. He crosses the finish line and a buzzer goes off; a confused official holds up a trophy but Bond ignores him and keeps riding, doubling back into the town.

Arriving at a town square, he ties the horse to a lamppost and walks away. As he looks around for a vehicle to use, he becomes aware of someone following him in the dim light. Bond ducks into an alleyway as the stranger approaches. Looking around, he picks up a broken bottle and holds it up, ready to strike. The figure steps out right in front of him as Bond jumps out - it's Tracy!

Bond - What the bloody hell are you doing here?
Tracy - Wonderful as always to see you, darling.

Reading about how the earthquake has threatened the stability of a nuclear power plant, it almost sounds like the work of a Bond villain, doesn't it? As one of them once said, "All attributed to natural causes". :o

That might be a way to do it. IIRC, doesn't Bond float away from Blofeld's castle on a weather balloon? That might be a little campy in execution. We could have Bond infiltrate the castle during a raging storm which climaxes in a tsunami. Marc Forster would say that this represents Bond's mental state :)

Actually, I was thinking we should use the actual "suicide forest" in Aokigahara, Japan. No castles there, but I suppose we could always invent one and stick it in there.

Top marks on the skijoring sequence, too, dino. :)

I think we should get the castle in there somehow. The film left it out so we have to do right by Fleming this time!

OK here's another bit. I used some of coco's proposals and then used another kind of proposal scene from Fleming:

Tracy shows Bond to her Ferrari and Bond tells her they have to leave town. Bond tries her cellphone but signals are still blocked. As they head for the main road, they pause for a man crossing the street. He stops and stares at them for a second - it's Blofeld! Bond presses hard on Tracy's foot on the pedal and Blofeld dives to safety, ending up in a heap of snow.

In the rear view, Bond sees Blofeld calling for his goons.

Bond - Remember when you were in Venice, you were driving like a maniac and didn't care who or what got in your way?
Tracy - Vaguely. Why?
Bond - I need you to do that again.

Tracy slams on the gas and the Ferrari speeds out of town. She explains that Draco had told her where Bond would be as it starts snowing heavily outside. Bond is quickly aware that another vehicle is chasing them. Coming to a detour, he quickly gets out and sees a sign warning of a bridge collapse. Bond removes the sign and tells Tracy to kill the lights. The second car arrives, with Yaroslav and another goon brandishing guns - they take the other road and Bond hears brakes screeching and sees a fireball bloom up into the sky.
He moves in closer and sees the car on fire at the bottom of a ravine below. A noise distracts him - Yaroslav, holding on to the edge; he grabs Bond and tries to pull him over. Bond struggles with him, finally freeing himself from the other man's grasp. Bond remarks "You know, I forgot to give you your Christmas present". Bond punches him, sending him over the edge, crashing into the wrecked car below. Tracy appears next to Bond.

Tracy - What's going on?
Bond - Just some chestnuts roasting on an open fire.

They get back in the Ferrari and leave.

GENEVA AIRPORT

Bond and Tracy are in the mostly empty departure lounge late at night. As the clock strikes twelve, the few employees still there pass out some champagne; it's Christmas Day. Bond proposes marriage to Tracy, in a wonderfully written scene :) She accepts!

You know, I was pretty set on having Bond propose to Tracy on the side of the road, but your idea works much better, especially in the midst of everything that would be occurring before it. It's a nice compromise, and quite different from the original film. :)

I wonder, though, how Tracy will end up in Blofeld's hands now?

I haven't actually thought about that yet. LOL! Any ideas?

Blofeld bombs the airport? :P

That's possible. In fact, right where this scene leaves off, we could have an alarm going off at the airport and they have to evacuate due to a "bomb scare", and somehow Blofeld nabs Tracy in the confusion. Hmm, wait, Irma Bunt can do it...she can approach Tracy as a kind stranger and be the one to kidnap her. Thus setting up a Bunt/Tracy catfight later on :)

Excellent! Some great organic plotting! And an attack on an airport would be another parallel to "CR". :D

OK so I will try and flesh out this scene a little :

Bond gives Tracy a heartfelt monologue about Vesper and how he never thought he'd find anyone else after her. As they prepare to board, a security guard informs them there's been a bomb threat and they are evacuating the terminal. As passengers from other cancelled flights fill the area, Bond and Tracy move with the crowd. Security and firemen are running everywhere. Several guards close in around Bond, and draw their weapons. They tell him they received an anonymous tip of a man matching Bond's description was a terrorist. Bond protests, telling them he's MI6 and to call London, and they tell him they'll look into it, but must detain him temporarily.

Meanwhile, Tracy waits at a cafe. A female security officer, hat obscuring her face, approaches her and tells her James Bond has been released, and she can come and meet him downstairs. She leads her to a parking lot, where a limo opens up revealing Blofeld inside. Tracy panics and tries to flee, but the guard, whom we now see is Irma Bunt, has her at gunpoint. They bundle Tracy into the car and leave.

Bond is released and looks for Tracy. Now that they know he is MI6, they allow him to access security footage. He finds one camera that shows Tracy being abducted.

MI6

M, Tanner, and Bond, all grim-faced, are watching a news report. Blofeld is on-screen issuing his demands, for recognition of his title, a pardon for all crimes, and the unfreezing of his assets seized in MI6's QUANTUM clean-up. If they are not met, he has trained eleven girls to detonate suicide bombs at midnight on New Year's Eve in major cities around the globe. He warns if there is any attempt to intervene, he will order the girls to detonate immediately. Clearly addressing Bond specifically, he says "We would not want harm to come to anyone at Piz Gloria"; the camera tilts to show Tracy, furious, sitting next to him.

M switches off the broadcast. She tells Bond the PM has agreed to Blofeld's demands. Bond protests, proposing a full-on attack of Piz Gloria. M dismisses it as too risky. Bond storms out, outraged.

SICILY

Bond pulls up at Draco's estate. Draco is waiting for him outside the huge garage. Bond informs him about Tracy and Blofeld, and Draco asks what he wants to do. "We'll need something to get us up to Piz Gloria. Any ideas?"

Draco - I once knew an Italian military contractor. He didn't have the money for his gambling debts, but he did pay me in another form...

Draco presses a button to open the garage, revealing a cavernous warehouse full of all kinds of attack vehicles - Hummers, ATVs, snowmobiles, helicopters, everything and anything needed for a small war. Bond's jaw almost hits the floor.

Bond - I think I'm going to enjoy being your son-in-law.

Yep, tdalton and I discussed it a few pages back. Basically, Bond and Tracy would be driving down the road in Tracy's Ferrari Four when Blofeld and Bunt pull up in a Maserati beside them and strafe the car with gunfire, causing Tracy to lose control and sending them careening into a ditch. Some time later, Bond regains consciousness and looks over to see his dead bride in the driver's seat, his face smeared with her blood, and possibly with the grim quip, "Hell of a wedding gift" as we hear the fast approaching sound of police sirens arriving on the scene.

And speaking of the guy who said that, assuming this isn't in poor taste, reality might have provided a way to remake A VIEW TO A KILL :

Max Zorin is looking to dominate the world technology market, but one country stands in his way - Japan. In order to destabilize their economy and send Japanese tech stocks plummeting, Zorin generates an earthquake in Japan, ripping the country apart with devastating tsunamis, and quakes that threaten to cause the country's nuclear power plants to overload.

It's not really in poor taste, considering it's based off real world events. Plus, I'd love to see an updated "AVTAK" with some more exotic locations, in this case, Asia. And I already gave away who I thought would fit the role of a 2012-era Max Zorin and May Day. ;)

I thought it would be best if we wrapped things up with "Moonraker" (which would give us five left--YOLT, TMWTGG, DAF, TSWLM, and MR), but I've been thinking lately that it would be fun to tackle "Colonel Sun" and "AVTAK".

PIZ GLORIA

Sunrise, December 30th. Blofeld is drinking champagne while on a videoconference with a group of concerned looking officials. They are agreeing to unfreeze his bank accounts; Blofeld ends the call and offers Tracy champagne. She refuses and storms out. Bunt asks if they still need to keep her around; Blofeld says she can kill her as soon as he receives word his demands have been met.

"Why can't I just do it now?", she asks. "It's not like anybody's going to..." she trails off, staring out the window. Blofeld turns to see a fleet of helicopters approaching and sounds an alarm. Guards take positions on gun turrets, ready to fire when the choppers are in range, when...explosions rock the rear of the compound. Blofeld looks around to see another fleet of vehicles approaching from the other side - armored snowmobiles, ATVs, sno-cats mounted with rockets, and Bond himself leading the charge in one of these.

A huge battle ensues, with Piz Gloria being torn apart by gunfire; Draco and his men storm the facility, with Bond joining in.

Inside, Tracy locks herself in her room; Bunt smashes the door in and Tracy whacks her on the head with a vase; it's fightin' time!

Bond checks around for Blofeld but he is nowhere to be found; he looks in the labs, and stops to check Blofeld's globe hologram. He switches it on and sees 11 cities light up, marked with photos and names of the girls; Sydney, Tokyo, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Berlin, Paris, London, New York, Los Angeles, Sao Paulo, and Cairo.

He uploads the intel to his cellphone and transmits it to MI6; we see Tanner on the other end receiving the data; the department is in chaos as he, M, Moneypenny etc contact agencies all over the world.

Tracy and Bunt continue to fight as the room is rocked by an explosion, blowing a hole in the wall; outside we see the entire place starting to tip over; both women are thrown to the ground.

Bond grabs one of the goons and asks where Tracy is; he tells him she went to her room; Bond pistol whips him and runs to her room.

Bunt struggles to get to her feet as Tracy charges into her, knocking her out of the room and sending her over the edge towards burning wreckage below.

Bond throws the door open.

Bond - Are you alright, what happened here?
Tracy - The bitch is dead.

Bond does a double take; he escorts her back to Draco, who loads her onto one of the helicopters. Bond goes inside to set charges to destroy the place. Going back to the labs, he sees Blofeld stuffing money into a bag. Blofeld shoots at him and runs; Bond pursues him to a bobsleigh run; Blofeld jumps into the only bobsled and tears off down the track as Piz Gloria blows up behind them.

Bond runs back to his Lotus vehicle and gets in, rocketing down the mountain after Blofeld as Piz Gloria goes up in flames behind him. Bond speeds ahead of Blofeld on the track, gets out, and jumps onto the bobsled. The two men fight as they hurtle down the track; Blofeld pulls out a grenade and laughs wildly as he pulls out the pin and simply holds onto the grenade. Bond jumps off, tumbling into a snowdrift as the bobsled sails out of sight. An explosion is heard, and Bond runs to try and catch up.

Arriving at the end of the track, he sees the burning bobsled comes to a halt; no sign of Blofeld anywhere.

To be concluded...

...a montage follows, of the Angels of Death being captured and taken into custody all over the world. M assures Bond that they will all be deprogrammed and go back to their normal lives.

LONDON

Some time later, Bond and Tracy are out shopping for an engagement ring. They spot one in a shop window and go inside. Reflected in the glass, we see a figure wearing a hoodie watching them across the street. She removes her hood and walks away; we see it is Irma Bunt, apparently unharmed, but as she turns a corner we see the left side of her face is covered in disfiguring burn scars.

SICILY

"I now pronounce you husband and wife".

Bond and Tracy are married in a ceremony at Draco's estate, attended by M, Moneypenny, Tanner, and Felix Leiter, who serves as the best man. Felix gives Bond some fishing lures for his honeymoon; Draco offers Bond a million pounds but he refuses. He takes M aside and hands her a resignation letter. Tracy throws a bouquet and Moneypenny catches it, while giving Tanner an...interesting glance.

Bond and Tracy drive away in her Ferrari.

Later, on a coastal road outside of Sciacca, Bond and Tracy continue a leisurely drive; they drift over to allow an approaching car to pass; as the car passes Bond has only a split second to react to the ghastly visage of the burnt Bunt at the wheel, and Blofeld, broken arm, cuts and bruises all over his face, leaning out of the window with a TAC-9. Bond veers off the road as Blofeld unloads a clip at them before speeding off. Airbags bloom up as the Ferrari thumps into a ditch. Bond crushes his airbag and asks Tracy if she's hurt. There's no response, save for a small drip of blood running down the airbag. He pulls her aside and is confronted by the devastating sight of a bullethole in the middle of her forehead. She slumps forward, dead.

THE END OF "ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE"

BUT JAMES BOND WILL RETURN IN

"YOU ONLY LIVE TWICE"

LOL yeah I thought that might be a fun gag, don't know whether anything will come of it in future films.

As for singer and director, I wonder if an instrumental title track would be used for this film, like the original (but a different tune). We never did decide on a Tracy casting that pleased everyone. Or did we?

And as for the title track...I don't think EON would go for an instrumental track in this day and age. What kind of style do you envision a modern day Bond theme for "OHMSS" would sound like?

I think I'll work on stringing together all the individual sections dino wrote and post them in one large treatment tonight. If no one's suggested a director or title song singer by tonight, I can just edit it in later.

That's a shame, as I think his style would be a perfect fit for YOLT.

You responded at roughly the same time that I pulled up an article saying that he had left The Wolverine, which is what I'm assuming you're referring to (this is the first that I've heard about it). While I certainly respect his reasoning of not wanting to be away from his family for that long, I'm rather surprised that he would leave a project like that which could take him into a position where he could get more exposure and recognition from a wider audience.
